My father has been at Elderwood at Lockport for a few days now. It's a very nice community. The staff is very knowledgeable and very attentive. The place is very clean. No problems. They offer a lot of activities like bingo, and arts and crafts. They'll have a little football get-together. The structure of the building is nice. But the only thing is that it has been added on, and added on, so it's kind of like a maze. You have to go around different quarters to go where you want to go.

Our experience with Elderwood at Lockport is OK. It's just really outdated and they're short-staffed, so I feel like it's hard for them to give the residents the attention that they need, but again it's OK. It's probably as best as we're going to get. Overall, the staff is OK. Initially, I wasn't too happy, but there was one nurse there that I liked that seemed to be trying to take care of my mom. The rooms are very old and small because she is sharing a room. It's very outdated. It's more like a rundown hospital setting.

They don't like to admit that they are very short handed especially on weekends. The staff is nice but they need help. Marketing tried to convince me they are well staffed but have added more help.??

I think the Elderwood has improved very much since it has taken over from. It looks great .
