I am looking for a Medicaid facility for my mother. Le Roy Manor has been recommended to me by friends who have had their own mothers there. This has been very hard and I have to say most facilities are not very clean and nice. I visited Le Roy Manor last week and found the staff to be extremely helpful. They helped to reduce my anxiety and were very helpful with all of the paper trail that I have to put in place. I did not find the facility unclean. I personally witnessed a gentleman (service industry) clean the floor like you've never seen. My interactions with the staff were very positive. They offered to request medical records, finish the medicaid application process and screen my mom within a week. The office staff had such wonderful attitudes. The facility offers activities for the dementia patients and offered to help with the transition that my mother will go through as she moves.

This is a Very sad, dingy and dirty place to see a loved one have to live. The state needs to inspect more often. The employees didn't seem to be very professional or have much knowledge of mental health. This place needs to shut down!!

My Brother-In-Law lived there for one year. He was admitted to Strong Hospital last week. They claimed they notified us. When I called to check in on him, I found that he was at Strong. They claimed they left a message, but I was encouraged to call back on Monday when the administrator Cassidy was on Duty. I spoke with Cassidy and she was very defensive and evasive. She then told me to call the owner Mr. Schwankle on Tuesday. She did not know the spelling. This is a very shady operation that thinks they have all their bases covered.

The director of this facility treated my family very poorly. We felt we were lied to and manipulated. The facility failed to provide my mother with psychiatric care as contracted. They failed to return calls as we attempted to relocate my mother. They failed to send records or return phone calls to other facilities as requested. This facility needs to be investigated for cleanliness and quality of care. Please do not choose Leroy for yourself or loved one.
