    I visited this facility

I VISITED TODAY AND WAS VERY PLEASED AND PLEASANTLY SURPRISED WITH HOW CLEAN THE ENTIRE FACILITY WAS.THE STAFF LOOKED ALL SMILES AND WAS VERY PLEASANT. A MS MATTHEWS GAVE US A TOUR OF THE FACILITY. I DIDNT HAVE AN APPOINTMENT AND SHE TOOK TIME OUT OF HER BUSY SCHEDULE TO ACCOMMODATE US. I AM PLANNING TO TAKE MY LOVED ONE TO THAT FACILITY. THE SECURITY AT THE FRONT DESK WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPED US IN GETTING IN TOUCH WITH MS. MATTHEWS. IT SHOWS HOW PROFESSIONAL THEY ARE, AND THEY LOVE THEIR JOBS.THANK YOU MS. MATTHEWS!!!!

I am a friend or relative of a resident

The facility is clean and has a soothing environment for those residing there. My mother has been a resident there 4 years, all health care providers at Hillside Manor are caring with compassion for all their residents. My mother receives visits from a family member every day or every other day. Our visits vary in the time of day, and never have we witness any resident being mis treated, or unattended. They take extra care in providing entertainment and trips for the residents that help them maintain a good quality of life. The doctors, nurses, CNA's seem to be happy working there, and when the employees are happy, you will have happy residents. I can't say enough about the wonderful care and treatment our mother receives. If she isn't well or a health issue develops, the doctor or nurse will phone us to let us know what course of treatment will take place and to get our approval before going forward. God Bless the staff at Hillside Manor Nursing Home.

    I visited this facility

This living facility is awesome. They have such a great program for the residents to meet with high school students from The Mary Louis Academy and build a bond every Thursdays throughout the entire school year. On these visiting trips, the residents would participate in playing bingo, interacting with the students and it was mostly grandmothers and grandfathers. Usually, the grandmothers were more chatty, expectantly. The staff was courteous and cared for the residents, food was okay, environment was good. I had a chance to speak with numerous residents, we painted the grandmother's nails and made them feel pretty. Sometimes when your living in a facility for various reasons, you kind of just want to talk to people and get to know someone else or have someone make you feel good about yourself, whether it's being proud talking about your family or what not; that is what we provided them with, company and companionship. This is how I always envisioned what a nursing home should feel like. They should hold activities for the residents to feel more involved in society and not just the packed away, put them out of your thoughts, because they are old. I felt the residents were living comfortably and the staff was always nearby to assist the residents. The experience was overall friendly, inviting, safe, and warm. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone and everyone.
