My mother was just discharged from the facility at Flushing after her femur surgery. She initially needed 3 people to lift her up to the bed/bathroom and she was thoroughly taken care of and trained to walk in a mere couple of months. It is a complete set of professional assistances of infinite value that it is completely impossible for us to do at home. All caregivers are professional, efficient and attentive, providing practical training and feedbacks to family members. We feel so fortunate that we found this place. We highly recommend it to everyone in need.

Horrible place where patients are being mistreated and their family ignored. You need appointment to visit a family member it’s almost impossible to have someone pick up the phone when you want to make an appointment and they do not respond to your voicemails and emails but if miracle happens and you get someone on the phone the appointment is only for 25 minutes and it’s supervised. The physical therapy should be given six times a week and you lucky if someone shows up twice a week. It the patient needs diaper change it takes forever. They use freezing cold water to spangle bath the patient. It’s been only two weeks and I have endless list of complaints

If I could give a negative rating, this place would be a minus five star. My grandmother was admitted here in March and everything was fine for a few weeks. Then we got a call from the doctor telling us she caught the coronavirus and was now in the hospital. My grandmother passed away a few days later and a quick search showed that she was not the only one. As of mid April 2020 there were at least 44 others who caught the coronavirus at this nursing home and died because of it. My family and I are currently looking into possible legal actions and would encourage those in a similar position to do the same. Stay safe and keep your loved ones away from this horrible place.

Franklin Care smells like urine. The room is so dark and the space is too small. The food is not good. I tried to eat it. My husband didn't like the food.

I enjoyed visiting. The volunteers seemed to help the residents with simple tasks. They also accompanied the elderly in making arts and crafts, and played board games with them. The volunteers helped with secretarial work and helped plan and set-up programs for the elderly. Ultimately, this was an eye-opening experience. It seemed that the facility heavily depended on volunteers and nurses. I found that the higher the floor level, the more inactive and depressed the adults were. Unfortunately, I had seen that most of the higher-level staff members wanted volunteers to work with the happier elderly, instead of keep the unhappy ones company. The amenities, staff members, and the facility were clean and friendly. I just wish that they paid a bit more attention to the unhappy members of the community. All in all, the nurses were excellent-- it seemed that the physicians were the ones who cared less.
