My mother has gone to Sunnyside in May. They improved 100% because they have all new management and got rid of a lot of people. My mom has a private room, and they're always trying to do things with the residents like bingo, music, and bands or choirs. They're pretty good with all of them. The CNAs take them to the activities and my mom participates in them. They do movies, books, anything they want. The staff is on top of things, very helpful, nice, and very good to the residents. They could do some things a little better though. Most of the time the food is pretty good and get a lot to eat.

My grandmother was a resident with Sunnyside for 2 years and I have been more than impressed by the care she has received. I was fearful of having her be placed into a home but the staff has been nothing more than excellent and caring throughout her entire stay. I would recommend anyone who wants their family member safe and cared for to go there.

I was a patient there 3 yrs ago for physical therapy following a knee replacement. This is the worst rehab ever. I was there a week and signed myself out. Patients falling in their rooms screami g for help and they were ignored. I was stuck with a broken bed that wouldnt raise the head or feet. I was told they didnt have any more beds. I was the Dr once and that was the day I arrived. The nursing staff were never sround because they were on their phones in the break room. You were responsible to get up and get to your PT appt by yourself. They refused to accompany you in fear of falling. This place is a deathtrap. Should be closed down.

My mother was here for about 6 weeks. When she went in she couldn't walk or do anything for herself. When she left, she was getting up and down and walking by herself. She majorly improved under Sunnysides care. Whether the building wasn't built yesterday or any of that doesn't really matter. I think they did great with her rehabilitation, and all the staff were hard working and friendly the times when i was there. My mother also thought they were great and that's what matters. And that Erika is a goddess.

We have been there daily to visit a close relative. The relative has not received very good care at all with life-threatening mistakes and oversights. Cannot easily get nurse's attention most of the time when needed. We cannot wait to get her out of this place. Everyone who visits says it smells of urine and sometimes feces.

My Great Grandmother is a resident of this nursing home. I think overall it is a plesant place. Most of the time it is clean and they have a cat which goes from room "making her rounds" as my great grandmother says, my daughter loves to visit and see the cat. Occasionally when I have visited there has been a distinct smell of urine and I have seen a few patients sitting in the hall in wheelchairs unattended but generally it is clean. They have a lot of activities posted on boards and such in the dining area and any interactions thet I have had with the staff have been plesant and they seem to be doing a good job.
