My father was at Brooklyn Gardens Nursing and Rehab for 2 months. I liked the facility. I felt that the staff was very caring, attentive, and helpful. My dad liked the food that they served. One thing about this facility that's nice was they had an enclosed and secured outside patio area where a lot of the residents could go outside freely. They had barbecues for the residents on Wednesdays. The physical therapy was very good. Overall, it was a really good facility.

Most rooms are shared, The food is unappetizing a majority of the time I order for my family because they don’t like what’s being served. There’s a few good staff members who actually care about their job but majority is just there for the bottom of the barrel check. They have no phone etiquette, they don’t know how to conduct themselves while at work, and overall disgusting. They have denied my family member outpatient medical treatment in which caused her to temporarily lose her mobility skills.

My brother was at Brooklyn Gardens Nursing and Rehab. The place was nice and well-kept. It was very clean all the time. He was in a shared room, but it was nice and well-kept all the time. It had a bathroom inside and it was clean too. They had a little place where they go outside and a little picnic area where they could sit down. They had a game room with board games. My brother used the exercise equipment and played board games while he was there. The staff didn't seem friendly and they didn't assist in a lot of things that we needed help with because maybe they thought it wasn't their job. To me, they were lazy. They just sat behind their desk. If you need assistance with something, instead of getting up to try to help you, they will say they will look for my brother's nurse and let his nurse do it. I don't think they have enough nurses for all of the residents that they have to care for. But overall, it's a nice rehabilitation center.

I liked Lucille Rose Adult Day Health Care Program when I visited there. The place was very secured. There was security personnel around and non-residents were not allowed to get in unless thoroughly inspected. I was not able to look at the rooms but the lobby was beautiful.
