experience was not good!!! Patient was not taken care of AT ALL ... waited for hours after call light was pressed.. They come shut it off; then disappear... over an hour then yell at you cause you didnt press the call button. Majority of the staff has no empathy they dont give one flying hoot about the patients...they are there for their paycheck and their paycheck only!! horrible horrible place for ANYONE to be in!!!!!

Sent my dad in for respite care he was perfectly fine. The next day I call to see how he was doing and the staff said that "he's refusing to eat". I show up and he is unconscious, there's blood all over his face and on the floor . They didn't even call an ambulance. I had to tell them to. He needed emergency brain surgery for blunt head trauma. This is the worst facility I've ever encountered.

Residents aren’t cared for appropriately. Lots of false promises. Dr does not properly manage these patients. My mother developed a UTI, Dehydration, mistreatment and a fall all within the first few weeks. Could not improve due to her medical condition declining so was unable to benefit from therapy. Therapy hours not what was promised. They say they come in several times a day to get therapy if resident in pain, or still in bed… doesn’t happen. My mother is found in bed most days still in the afternoon, and then it still takes hours before they get her up. Each day is a lost cause.

My Aunt has been here for a few months. I realized that not only is this facility extremely SHORT STAFFED, due how long it takes for Anyone to Attend to my Aunt when she rings the Buzzer to use the toilet {35 minutes -1 hour}, but how SHORT WILLED some of the STAFF MEMBERS ARE!!!!!! If I don't go up to the Nurses Station{who's not the most pleasant}, It would probably be longer. Don't get me wrong, many Staff Members are Super Friendly and Extremely respectful to the Residents. That's all my Family cares about. Being polite and respectful to the residents who Can't take care of themselves. Why is that so DIFFICULT for some of these MISERABLE STAFF MEMBERS who work here?

Elderwood at Wedgewood wasn't the greatest. It was dirty and they weren't very responsive. The food was terrible. We had grilled cheese sandwiches and pizza. The food is hard to eat if you have dentures, and the pizza was rubbery. Nobody asked to see if I was on a low-cardiac or diabetic diet.

We went to ElderWood Health Care. I did not like it at all. I would not recommend this place to anybody. They don’t have enough staff, and they were rude when you asked a question. They don’t help the residents who cannot eat or feed themselves. We met a lot of unhappy people there.

This place cuts you absolutely no slack for paying your bill. They are very greedy and have no compassion for what you are going through. Be careful with them - if you can't pay all right away, they will send their lawyers after you. And their care of the tenants is mediocre at best. Not recommended - they really don't deserve ANY stars.

My mom had her rehab at ElderWood Health Care at Wedgewood and that was very nice. They were very personable. Their services were great.

My wife was in rehab at Elderwood. The facility was very nice and we didn't have a problem there. I liked that it was just nearby and they only had one level where the wheelchairs can go in and out. The parking lot is also okay. The staff are okay and we could really see no problems

Elderwood at Wedgewood is my choice for my aunt because it is right in my area and they were able to find a bed for her immediately. It is a very nice and pleasant place. It is immaculately clean. The semi-private room is very large. The dining room is also large and nice and my aunt is not complaining about the food. In fact she gained some weight. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. They encourage her to go out and do things rather than sitting in the room and be depressed about it. They have activities like bingo several times a week. They set up a bowling rack. They have memory classes. They have card games. They also have barbeque and there is a large common area where they watch TV. They have hairdressers and dentist so no one has to go out unless it is for hospitalization.

My mom is staying in the Elderwood Senior Care for a couple months, but she'll be getting out next week. She's getting excellent care in there. The facility, the staff, and the food are all top-notch.

The reason this has 3 stars is it is neither good nor bad. They were caring and provided basic care, yet the staff was obviously over worked and under paid. Some were 'lifers' and others young workers who seemed disgruntled. All in all though the care was satisfactory, but as I said my mother felt she needed to visit my father everyday just to make sure he was cared for correctly. The thing is my father had Parkinson's, therefore he was unable to fully communicate his needs and the staff would not check on him enough. This affects his drooling, bathroom visits, and general care. In the end he died of a 'Kennedy Ulcer' which is basically a glorified bedsore which stars to cause necrosis of the skin. This was brought on by not moving enough and sitting for too long. In truth he was not an active type which exacerbated it, but more encouragement from staff would have helped.

My grandmother and her significant other have been at Elderwood for approximately one year. The rooms are fairly small but offer convenience so you would not have much to move around. When walking into the room is the kitchen and living area together. Her bedroom appears to be bigger than her living area and the bathroom is connected off the bedroom. I have gone to eat meals with the m while at the facility. The servers in dining room know all the residents names and their preference for drinks. They are polite and courteous. The person that drives them to their appointments is very vibrant and personable. She also knows the residents names and you can tell she cares for everyone. On one occasion, my grandmother's significant other had a hard time with shopping. The driver made sure that she notified the nurses upon return. The facility then sent out two nurses to check on him and ensure he was well. The food that is served is okay and lists many choices as well as special. The menu, however, does not seem to change much. The facility is well kept and clean. It offers a walking trail with a small pond. The landscaping surrounding the building is well kept and very presentable. My grandmother enjoys staying there and does not have complaints either.

Elderwood at Wedgewood has been very insturmental in my mom's care. All of her needs are being met and the staff really gets to know their residents. I have watched them in action when my mom has an outburst and they are able to get her redirected and calm her down. They are wonderful. The facility is very clean and organized, has plenty of activities for the residents to keep their minds as active as possible.
