Kingston Residence of Santa Fe met our needs perfectly. Our family couldn't be more pleased by the care, engagement, lifestyle...the food is also fantastic. It was a tough choice but I think our decision was a good one.

Not friendly or caring. Management is disengaged and aloof. Waaaaay overpriced. Moved to a nicer place near downtown amenities.

We toured the Kingston Residence of Santa Fe. I didn't like their memory care at all. We walked in, and they greeted us. The lady who was in charge, Marcy, greeted us gracefully. They took us to the back room where my husband was supposed to stay for five days, and I was not happy. The air conditioner was not on. It was hot there. The rooms are not very clean. I just wasn't happy. I canceled it out just as I was sitting in the area where they're having bingo for the residents, an elderly lady was just sitting on a chair completely. They didn't assist her the whole time that I was there. Another lady was lying asleep on a bench. They did not assist her. They didn't take her back to her room and then when it was time for us to go, the nursing staff were supposed to help my husband get back into his car and they refused to help us. I went in there to check the area where my husband was supposed to stay, the bedroom, and I looked behind the TV and the TV hadn't been dusted. It was full of dust in the back. The rooms were very small. I did not like the layout. They were friendly.

I toured Kingston Residence of Santa Fe. The tour was good. I have to give them a thumbs up. I just dropped in without an appointment and they gave me a tour. It seemed OK. It just seemed more institutionalized. They give good care. They just had a lot more residents. I was looking more for a smaller place so my dad will get good attention, more than just in a bigger place where the ratio was higher. The staff member who toured me was very nice and friendly. He accommodated us and answered all the questions, which was really nice of him. We saw a private room. It had a bed, a little dresser, and a bathroom. There wasn't any activity going on when we were there. They said they had music and stuff in an upstairs area where people could gather. Where they had dining was quite nice. It was more like you were dining at a restaurant type thing. It was really nice looking and everything. It was clean and updated. It looked like they kept the maintenance good.

To remember that RAs do not have nursing assistant capabilities. They can help you dress, go to the bathroom, but can not take your vital signs. Be forewarned you need the nurse which are few. Even the Med Techs are not nurses, they have been trained to give you the pills and tablets but are not aware of all the side effects of the medicine they give , One is a hs drop out, One can barely speak and read English. And you have a DON with no clinical experience. And the tiers of care are a ploy to get more money, as the actual care does not change whether you are bronze, silver or gold. And Memory Care needs help! Not enough and so far the activties were far and few in between. Just a few of the grips and why I am no longer there. And the front offices and lobby areas always look nice. You have to argue to get your room and toilet clean if it is not on their schedule. Many staff are wonderful to be with.

I visited the assisted living section of Kingston Residence of Santa Fe. It seemed really nice, and they said they have lots of activities for the residents. They also have buses that take them to town to go shopping and stuff.

Kingston Residence of Santa Fe had both assisted and independent living. The staff and everyone was nice. It's clean and the people were efficient. They have a lot of activities. They have a singing program and a huge barbecue that I attended on 4th of July last year. It's a beautiful facility.

Kingston Residence was closer to where I live but too expensive. I've known the geriatric doctors there for years. The rooms werelovely, the closets were huge, and the people were very nice.

Our family picked Kingston Residence of Santa Fe for my dad because of the spaciousness and the food. I think staff is superb. They are very well staffed and all very caring. I am so pleased and relieved that he is well supported if anything ever comes up. He is also in such a good mood these days with all of the company, activities and comfortable surroundings.

My mother has been living at Kingston Residence of Santa Fe for the last four months. My experience there is that it is an excellent facility with high-quality service. There are some lapses, which could happen to any institution, but anytime we have a complaint, it has been addressed quite quickly. It is, however, expensive. The only rooms that I have seen are large, comfortable, and have nice, large windows. The food varies from something as simple as a sandwich and soup to something fancy. I had a crusted tilapia for lunch yesterday, which was pretty good. They could improve on the response time to the call button. Activities are few. They offer bingo of one or two varieties, exercise classes most mornings, and organize a weekly excursion to museums and libraries, as well as trips to grocery stores, doctors, and things like that.

I love the Kingston Residence. I walked in, and I had a meeting with the accounts person who goes over the finances and handle all of these to get you in there. Instead of walking to or wandering around, she asked me what I wanted to see first or where I wanted to go. I had options of what I wanted to do, so it wasn't staged. There were very friendly, and there are lots of plants and lots of lighted walkways. The overall facility physically is very appealing. The second dining room has a lounge with a view of the mountains. They had a grand piano in there in the activity center. It is a really well run, furnished facility in my eyes. The price is about the same as well. I actually had put my mother in there and she enjoyed her stay. She had a second story apartment with one bedroom and a balcony with a view of the mountains. I have to say the staff there was exceptional and extremely genuine as far as really caring. It didn't seem to be just professional courtesy, and they really seem to be into their job.

I chose Kingston Residence of Santa Fe for my parents because of the spaciousness and the food. I think the nursing staff is very, very good, but the administrative staff is not very good and that is one thing they need to improve on.

They're nice at Kingston Residence. Their rooms are pretty big. My mom has some kind of efficiency apartment but it's very big. Their staff is very friendly and seems to be very professional. My mother likes the food there. They have a lot of activities like bingo, field trips and they eat out for lunch. They have groups come in and sing to them. My mom is happy and has been staying there for five years. I don't really know of anything that they can improve on. I would recommend this to others.
