My mother recently spent two months in a clean, warm furnished studio room, overlooking the back wooded patio area at Brandywine. The administrative staff were professional and responsive which made the intake process quick and smooth. Mom’s respite stay included physical therapy, located on the same ground floor, and three meals a day with a wide variety of choices, served by an energetic, friendly and accommodating staff. Mom gained back the weight she had lost at home and enjoyed socializing with other residents who welcomed her to join them at meals. I highly recommend Brandywine for all the assisted-living services they provide.

I need to place my husband in an assisted living facility as a respite stay as I went away on business. He recently just had a knee replacement and I could not leave him alone, he needed around-the-clock care. The administrative staff went above and beyond to make sure all of my needs were answered and that my husband would be in the best hands he came in for a 4-week respite and I must say he had absolutely zero complaints, as a younger man I was a little nervous to place him in an assisted living even if it was just for a short period of stay and he absolutely had a blast, from the wide range of activities to the excellent cooking done by the chefs in the building he will definitely be returning there again for his next surgery recuperation they also mentioned to me that they have a home care which I may be needing to utilize. All the staff there were very attentive of my husband's needs, I would recommend this place to anyone.

We looked around the area, and we chose it. We felt it was the best place for her. They were very accommodating. The dining area looked fine. It was the best we saw. They have lots of activities.

I work in the health care industry, so I am generally skeptical about nursing homes and assisted living facilities. It seems like the majority of them are poorly run, and the people who live there are, if not treated badly, at least not treated as well as they should be. I visited with a friend to visit his grandfather (who is 103), and who has been living there for some time now. I was really pleasantly surprised, the staff was incredibly sweet, and his grandfather seemed very close to the one nurse who sees him most of the time. That for me signals that the nursing home is of high quality, because the staff seems to care about the seniors living there. There was a beautiful outdoor area where the seniors could sit on good days, and opening out onto this area was an airy room with lots of windows, so even on bad days, at least they could get some sunshine. The rooms were modest but nice. My friend's grandfather seemed to have a lot of friends, all of whom were happy and excited to hang out with each other. He even has a girlfriend at the nursing home (he has been widowed for some time now), which tells me that the nursing home has been encouraging interactions between the residents.
