I toured Oasis at the Crescent. The thing I like best is the ability to come and go as they please if you're independent. If you have a vehicle, you can have a vehicle there. If not, they offer transportation that's scheduled throughout the day. And just like all other assisted living facilities, the least I liked was the cost. The cost of these things is ridiculous for people that are on fixed incomes like you have to have a secondary income just to qualify. The staff was great. I have nothing negative to say about them. The living quarters were great. The demeanor of the staff and their energy were good while we were there. It's positive for the most part. All of the seniors are consolidated on the first floor, which is beneficial. Everybody is pretty diligent, so that was good. They're all on the first floor. The cleanliness was fine. They needed to upgrade their decorations a little bit, but it was clean. We went and toured one of the rooms that was under construction. It was like the new design they came up with and that was also very nice.

Oasis at the Crescent was very warm and very welcoming. Just from the residents, I felt like my mother would be more comfortable in that kind of atmosphere just because there are residents that look like her, whether it's nationality-wise, or disability-wise. I would say that there is such a great level of warming and comfort there. They have a lot of renovations going on at the moment. So some things I would have liked to see going in, but still a wonderful place. I have nothing bad to say. The person who did my tour was Rose. She was very helpful, very knowledgeable, shared a lot of information with me, and gave me some recommendations on if I wanted to start that process, and what it would look like as far as transferring my mother's Medicaid from PA to New Jersey. So very helpful. I did get to see they have like an outside room just with the recent weather, recently with the rain, it was a little flooded out. So that was currently being worked on. They have a rehabilitation center. I got to see some of the doctors on staff. We toured the living and dining area where some of the families can come and visit. I gotta visit the rooms. Nice, spacious rooms, but the electronics are not included. We would need to bring the electronics in as well. This is also a facility that I could see my mom sitting at and being very comfortable. They have a laundry service that they do, they have inside stores where you can shop. It makes you feel like you are living in the real world there.

I toured and their rooms were clean, and the semi-private rooms were nice. The staff was very friendly.

My mother has been placed in here for about a month and a half now. They were the only one that had an availability immediately, so we chose them for that reason. We love the place. It is a nice and clean facility. The staff is wonderful. I haven't seen any problems yet. People there are nice. They have something all the time for them. My mom in particular loves playing bingo. They also have other games like bowling. They also have sundae nights where they all go make sundaes. It is really nice.
