My parents were both residents in the past years. They and our entire family were very pleased with the care they were given at this wonderful place. I cannot say enough about the caring staff, especially the administrators and medical staff. The grounds are beautiful and well kept, the rooms are large and common areas are comfortable. There are many activities to keep residents engaged and always caring capable aids to assist whenever needed. The peace of mind we felt, knowing our parents were so well cared for was priceless! Thank you Brandywine.

After living in Barnegat for twenty seven years it was time for me and my wife to move somewhere closer to our children. Let me back up a moment . It was our children that found Brandywine Living! To tell you the truth at first I was not thrilled with the idea. After moving in April to Brandywine that was changed from the moment we moved. The warm welcome, three meals a day, entertainment, therapy room, bed made every day, cloths washed and cleaning room once a week and plenty more. Let’s not forget medical service everyday if needed. The staff here in Brandywine is highly qualified and attentive. We are living the life and enjoying it! Duke and Argie

My dad has moved into Brandywine Living at Mahwah, and my mom is going to be moved in in another month. It has been very pleasant. It is a very sociable community, so the residents are pretty out and about, and participate in lots of different activities that they have. They're just very supportive and make sure that the needs are met for those that are going to be living there. The food is great. It's restaurant-style. Actually, I can't wait for it to be opened up to allow visitors to eat in the dining room, because the food is really, really good, and so I wanted to be able to have like lunch or dinner with my dad, or my dad and mom when both of them are there. Right now, because of COVID, they don't allow visitors in the common areas. They hopefully soon will be moving back to that. The food is actually really good. There's lots of choices. There are always different specials for lunch and dinner daily. You could accompany that by having either beer or wine; lots of other places only give it to you for dinner. If you don't like the specials, they have like a common menu that is always there, and there's plenty to choose from. Also, the pricing for visitors is very good. It's very affordable to be able to have dinner with your loved one and to get an appetizer, dinner, and dessert for that amount. It has a very homey feel. This one is on the smaller end, and it has a very homely feel. They have a piano room with couches and chairs. They have a library or a room with a fireplace. They have a huge activity room. They even have like a cute little pub with the big screen TV a lot of times for football games. They have a nice physical therapy area also partnered with an indoor pool. It's more for a therapy, but it's like a three to three and a half foot pool, so it's nice for some hydrotherapy, and if you wanted to just go in for a quick swim. Because of COVID, they have closed it. It's a very homey, personal, social, and clean. I would say that they did a really good job decorating. It's up to date but very comfortable. The rooms feel very spacious, and part of that is because of high ceilings inside the units. It makes it feel larger than what it is, but it's exactly what a person would need. It has a nice-sized bathroom, a kitchenette area, and a nice open space for the couch or the living area. The staff members are very attentive and caring. They listen to you like what's going on, and they're very responsive. They have a driver that's available to take them to church and take them to a little day trip. They do a really good job in making sure that there are things for the residents to do in case that they need to get stuff.

From day 1 I have felt like a part of the Brandywine family. The entire staff is caring and loving and the residents are their top priority. Mariola, the Exectutive Director is amazing and always takes the time to communicate and connect with the residents and their families. She is compassionate about her residents and their health and well-being. We love being part of Brandywine of Mahwah.

Brandywine at Mahwah has been the godsend to our family. For years we worried about our grandmother on the other end of the country, who rejected our pleas to receive in home help or move to assisted living, despite her having a really difficult and limited life in her home. When she had a long stint in the hospital and then rehab, our grandmother agreed a few years ago that it would be good to try an assisted living facility. My young daughter and I spent weeks with her, visiting multiple facilities, and my grandmother decided on Brandywine at Mahwah. A few other facilities had a similar costs, but we found them not to be as nice or to have as good of engagement programs. Having already had years of experience with another close relative in an assisted living facility, I was very hands on, with my grandmother’s care, during her years at Brandywine. My grandmother had the best, last 4 years of her life at Brandywine, and we are forever grateful. My grandmother’s last greatest wish, when she was having her last hospital, longer stay, was to return to her home at Brandywine. The Director and nursing team made that possible, and made sure that her last days were comfortable and peaceful. We are discerning costumers, and I highly recommend Brandywine for your loved one’s care.

Brandywine Senior Living at Mahwah was a great place for my mom. She enjoyed the activities, food, and staff. During Covid-19, the family felt she was taken care of and safe. The staff there are very caring and responsible. They treat the residents with the utmost respect. My mom felt like it was her second family.

I have been living here for quite a few years now and am very happy here! It is a great location! I visited most assisted locations prior to selecting Brandywine in Mahwah, NJ. I know I made the right decision especially after how well things were handled the past few months.

I am writing this letter on behalf of myself Dorothy and my Aunt Jacqueline. My Aunt as you know is a resident. This is to acknowledge and thank you for the wonderful way you have handled this situation that has attacked our Country. It is due to your very swift actions that the Brandywine in Mahwah has been kept a safe place for my Aunt. You and all your staff should be commended for the hard work and dedication you have shown. This National, Worldwide crisis has shown the true character of many, and yours shines brightly. I am eternally grateful as is Jackie for the care and compassion you have provided for all who live there. You are a true Star in this crisis and words seem hardly enough. Please thank all the staff for us and please continue to stay safe. Very Truly Yours, DeeDee and Jackie

I wrote a review in October about my complaints regarding Brandywine. I instantly received a call from the director, Mariola, who wished to speak with me immediately. My father, my husband and I met with her and we discussed his complaints, which admittedly, he had not expressed to management before for fear of retaliation. Mariola listened and promised to look into them and correct. inn less than a week's time, Mariola has gone above and beyond our expectations with the results she has achieved and all of us could not be happier with the commitment and caring she has shown. THANK YOU....we truly appreciate it!

My mother was one of the first residents to move into Brandywine several years ago. She would like to stay in her room and isolate until the activity director Kathy, came on the scene. Now my mom takes extension classes at Brandywine from Ramapo College, she goes on excursions to fun places, plays poker and blackjack twice a week with a real dealer. Kathy really puts such an emphasis on keeping the resident's minds busy and active. Thank you Kathy

I cannot express enough my gratitude to Brandywine in Mahwah...My mom was there for 18 months before she passed, and the staff, the activities, the overall care were exemplary. What caring people work there, from the Director Mariola, and Helen in memory care, as well as the floor nurses, carers, maintenance, everyone!!! Even the friday concerts they had were fantastic; I enjoyed many of them while visiting my mom. It took two years to convince my mom to get into a facility. She was living alone in a big house after my dad passed, and it wasn't a safe environment for her. The worry my brothers and I had while she was alone was alleviated with her move into Brandywine. She had friends again, an active social life and didn't have to worry about anything concerning her environment. Fabulous Fabulous place and staff!!!!! Wish there were more stars to give them!!!!!

We selected Brandywine Living at Mahwah for Mom 2 years ago, and are SO VERY HAPPY we did because it has EXCEEDED our expectations and most importantly, BECAUSE MOM IS HAPPY THERE. At 103, my Mom was active, and lived independently in her house, 30 miles from me, until she fell at home and fractured her neck. While she was recovering in rehab, I visited 6 assisted living facilities within a 10 mile radius of my home, and decided that Brandywine would best meet her needs. Mom has been active and has enjoyed living at Brandywine for almost 2 years, and just celebrated her 105th Birthday. My comments are a result of my direct contact and observations over that timeframe. There are many things that make Brandywine special. At the top of list is a Management and Staff who are engaged and TRULY CARE about the comfort and wellbeing of the residents EVERY DAY. It starts with the Executive Director, Mariola, who is passionate about her responsibilities and works tirelessly. And, she has surrounded herself with a management group who shares her passion, and who meets regularly to discuss the general and unique needs of the residents. Together, they have created a warm, friendly, welcoming, family environment that is palpable. Next on my list of highlights is Kathe, Producer/Director of Activities extraordinaire. Her effervescent personality is uplifting, contagious, and perfect for her job. She and her staff provide an amazing breadth of widely diverse activities to keep the residents’ bodies strong and their minds challenged and growing – exercise classes, current events discussions, guest musicians, lecturers, parties, casino nights, day trips, etc. They work hard to know the interests, abilities, and limitations of each resident and encourage participation wherever appropriate. Throughout the year they plan special activities for RESIDENTS AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS, which are lots of fun. It’s worth mentioning, that I have found that family members are welcome at Brandywine at ANY TIME. Regarding the facility itself, it is beautiful, secure, clean and well maintained. Upon arriving at the reception desk, you will be greeted warmly by Christie, Irene, Ronnie, or Brittany. You will find that pleasantness common throughout the rest of the staff, a sign that the staff has been carefully selected and well trained. Dining at Brandywine is consistent with the upscale character of the facility. The menus are broad and varied, with multiple selections, and additional alternatives, and the meals are attractive and plentiful. The dining room staff quickly learns the eating habits, preferences, and wishes of the residents, and does their part to make dining a positive experience. Lastly, it is reassuring to know that there is a menu of services that Brandywine offers, so that the needs of the resident changes, they can be activated/deactivated as the situation requires. My Mom has her medical prescriptions ordered and administered daily by the Wellness Staff and this has worked very well, under the direction of Barbara and Lisa. The staff tightly and efficiently controls the distribution, and reminds her when she forgets to get her meds. There are many other positives I could mention. Overall, Brandywine is excellent.

My parents were residents of Brandywine for over 2 years. As a family we could not be more grateful to the Brandywine staff for their care of mom & dad. They were treated as family and, as siblings, we were also included in the extended Brandywine family. The administrative staff were helpful from our first day with Julianne, Nicole, Christie, and Marissa. When Mariola took over as Director she took personal interest in the needs of our parents. When medical issues arose, Barbara, Lisa and medical staff were immediately available. The food, activities, and movies in the theatre were a plus thanks to Kathe. But the Pub and Wet Your Whistle were my parents’ favorite time spent together with friends. The quality of care at Brandywine and the upkeep of the beautiful facilities thanks to Roland, Steve, and James are high priority when considering Brandywine in Mahwah. But the close family connection of staff, residents and residents’ families is what makes Brandywine, Mahwah a very special place.

My parents were residents of Brandywine for about 2 1/2 years. They were very happy during their time there. There is a strong "family atmosphere" among residents and staff. The care was exceptional. Barbara, the head nurse, treated them as they were her parents. Activities were many and varied. Cathy does a fabulous job. The facility itself is gorgeous. Roland and Rich are always "right on it!" if anything needs to be done. Again, I think the most striking part of Brandywine is that everyone feels like family and is caring like family-- from the director to the nurses to the caregivers to waitstaff to the facility maintenance people ... EVERYONE was always willing to help anytime needed... and all of them had a smile to brighten your day! Mariola, the director, always had an open door to listen. I highly recommend Brandywine at Mahwah. There is so much to say ... their are programs with Ramapo College for the residents, lots of entertainment, a movie theater, a beautiful dining room, a pub ... Brandywine at Mahwah is a very happy place.

Brandywine in Mahwah is by far the best facility in the NJ area! After doing extensive research and numerous visits we decided to go with Brandywine for my mother's care. All staff from upper management down to the butlers and aids have been remarkable. It is a pleasure to walk into this beautiful facility and see their smiling faces. I am constantly provided with updates and any concerns I may have ever had were always resolved. I am glad that they have been so compassionate and understanding, and although no place is perfect they really do come close. Anyone that has had to make such a difficult decision and choose a place for their parent to live knows it isn't easy, but Brandywine is the best and closest thing to family and I know my mom is well taken care of.

Our father lived at Brandywine for a little over 2 years until his passing last week. Brandywine is by far the greatest place for a person to live during their senior years. Every one of the staff is kind, considerate and professional. All of them knew Dad by his first name and cared for him. The facility is appointed like a first class hotel and is kept immaculate. We never had one problem with any of the staff. During his last months when he needed additional help they were there to assist him in whatever he needed. My sister and I as well as our family were always well received. We did not consider Brandywine just a place for Dad but a family for Dad. We were impressed by the entertainment they brought in on a regular basis, it was first class. It made our Dad feel happy and involved. We cannot say enough about Mariola , the executive director, Barbara, the head nurse, her entire staff including Lisa, Mariola’s staff including all the people who arranged for activities and the dining room people, maintenance staff, Marissa, and Christie at the reception desk who greets everyone who a smile Space does not allow me to name all of them individually but without question all of them are great. If you or anyone in your family needs a senior living facility you do not need to look anywhere else, choose Brandywine

We were pleased at first with this facility. My parents were living in the Memory Care floor, and I use that term memory care loosely. The staff there were not trained to handle residents who had memory care issues. My father got a little agitated and they immediately put him in a hospital! Pay so much $$$ and that is how they treat their residents. Shame on you Brandywine!

Most beautiful assistant living I've ever been to. Feels like you're walking into a 5-star hotel. Love the Coco Chanel Hair Salon! Best in Bergen County and beyond.

Brandywine Living at Mahwah is a very nice place and fits my sister's personality. Their memory care program is good. They have their own theater and a pub for the residents to go with free wine and beer for a certain time. They have shows every week and special recreational programs once a month. They have a grand piano in the lobby, and they have a professional pianist who comes once a month; everybody is invited in the lobby to listen to the music. They invite certain choral groups and dance groups to perform and doctors who give lectures about dementia and Alzheimer's. They have a whole lot of programs, and it’s a beautiful place. The rooms are spacious.

Brandywine Living at Mahwah is a magnificent place. The staff are very good. Mom is independent, so she can participate in all the activities there. The food is not as good as where she was before. The dining room is magnificent. The rooms are very nice.

I toured this community. It's absolutely gorgeous, as soon as you walk in you feel like you are in a 5 start hotel for seniors. They have everything you could imagine, meals included, nursing care, activities galore and friendly staff. Apartments are spacious.
