My ex-husband is in Foothill Acres Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. When he was in the hospital, he ended up having to go to rehab, and he has not been able to come out since. It's not a large home where you get lost, and there's always a staff there. They pay more attention to you at this home than they do at other homes. They're always in and out of the room. The place is clean compared to other places I've seen. If you have any issues, you can always bring it to them and they will address it. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. There's plenty of activities. There is bingo, there is poker, they have charades, and they even made ornaments. He participated in baking pies. There was a light outside that was blinking, and it was one of the overhead lights, and they marked it off when they saw it. Within two days it was repaired. I never have the call to go see him. I just show up, and there he is. I was able to just walk in and sign in, and if you have any issues, you talk to someone there. There's always someone and they're very willing. They hand out their cards and they say, "If you have any issues or you want to talk to us about anything, give us a call." They're very helpful with getting you set up with Medicaid. They tell you who you need talk to and they get you set up.

Foothill Acres Rehabilitation & Nursing Center has been good generally, but I'm lacking physical therapy and I need that. Most of the staff here are very good and very caring. The nurses are great, but there are few aides that have not treated me very well. I have a beautiful room. It's a big, spacious private room, and I've been very happy with it. The place is very, very clean. They're here every day cleaning and doing the floors outside and inside. It's very pretty. The food is not good at all though, and it's a major complaint of all the residents here. They're trying, but they're not succeeding.

My mother-in-law was at Foothill Acres Rehabilitation & Nursing Center for three weeks. What I liked the most about them was the responsiveness of all of the staff there. They were very quick to respond whenever I called them, they answered right away, and I was not put off at all. They were just very kind and I thought that they were excellent.

My aunt went there for rehab. We were never told it was kosher food. Dinner Menu was only fish or pasta. My aunt really doesn’t eat that much fish or pasta. Kitchen staff went out of their way to make my aunt real dinner food (meat). No meat at breakfast, just at lunch. Darren the guy in charge of the kitchen was great. When I tried to talk to the administrator about it he passed me off to his assistant. Forget about trying to talk to the owners, they won’t and will not return your phone calls! Nursing service was poor. They all looked over worked. I talk the head nurse either she was ignoring me or could comprehend what I was saying. The head of rehab was just this nasty nasty woman. All she did was dismiss our questions and concerns. One thing she loved to do was tell you how many degrees she has and how many years of experience she has. Recreation department in rehab is basically puzzles on tables that are missing pieces. I’m just glad we got my aunt out before all the COVID deaths. Place is pretty, however the smell or waste is everywhere. I can’t imagine what the lock down unit smells like. No matter what time a day we went call bells were always ringing, people yelling for help and no nurses to be found. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone for any reason. Not a friendly place at all. Everyone is so full of themselves.

I have had a personal experience with Foothill Acres and I can tell you that it was nothing but positive. The subacute unit is clean and the staff is very friendly to my mom and to our family. The therapy is great and they really are addressing my mom's needs after her hospitalization. They are scheduling a meeting with our family to put together a safe discharge plan and help me get some resources in place before mom comes back home. I would highly recommend this facility.

My Parents have been here since 2015. About 10 days back my mother had serious issues. So this past week I opted to keep taps on how her care is coming along. As of today Saturday june 3rd spoke to her nurse who just came on. Asked if there is any news the nurse said to me well I just came on and I am not near the computer. My question is why didn't the person excuse herself and check. The way this came across the nurse in this case sounded a bit clueless while I dont want to go here to much reminds me of a bunch of dumb blond jokes I heard about over the years.. So some of the staff can't use common sense?

Foothill Acres is very nice. It is cheery. The units have two windows, one for each resident. It is clean, and I like it a lot. They do have a beautiful facility. They have a window on the second floor where they get a lot of lighting. They have a garden where they can go out. It's a nice place. But they were not too friendly when you say that you are going to use Medicaid. I had to push to get my mother on the waiting list. Somehow, I have a feeling they put it in the garbage. They were very dismissive and lacked help like they didn't want us.
