There is not 1 bad word I have to say about Brandywine @ the Gables. From the first phone call interaction to the enlightening tour, to the ease of the move, to the love & thoughtfulness of the staff-my parents could NOT be in better hands. Maria, Nicole, Pat, Ken, Mike and the numerous other staff members who I can't remember right now, my sister and I can sleep at night knowing our parents are in the BEST of hands. This facility treats EVERY resident AND their family like their members of their own families. My sister made the BEST choice in selecting Brandywine@ the Gables. You all have a VERY special place in my sister and my hearts for all you do and continue to do for our parents. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. God Bless you all!

Our experience with Brandywine Living at The Gables was very positive. It was a very clean, friendly, and caring environment. The staff was very friendly and very caring. It was an older facility, so I think the room could be a little spruced up. It could use a little TLC. The rest of it was very nice. They have everything. They have PT and OT offered, 24/7 nursing, a gym, and movie nights. They have something every night, activities, bingo, and cards. They go on trips. Everything seemed fairly nice.

I went to Brandywine Living at The Gables. The people are super nice; they couldn't be any nicer. The place is a little older, and the rooms are small. For me, the location was good as far as visiting my mother. I had a good sense from the staff. I thought they were very nice. It would be a good place for somebody, but I just thought the rooms are too small. Obviously, they don't want them in the room all the time. I met with the lady, Marie, who does the tours. She seemed super nice, and they don't have a big turnover of staff. I thought that was a plus. There's a lot of pluses. I'm not counting it out yet, but I just want to take a look at a couple of their facilities to get a better feel of what she needs. The place is older. It's an older location. They have activities every month. They go out on day trips, and they have some exercise things in there. They have things going on. Even the people that were living there were nice. I didn't really see a physical therapy room necessarily for exercise, but they had little classes that were kind of cute. I didn't think that place is bad, I just don't know if the rooms are big enough.
Grateful to BW

I just had to write to say thank you and “god bless” to Brandywine Living at the Gables! My mother is now a lucky resident at Brandywine Senior Living at the Gables. The facility - main areas, outside, dining and rooms- is beautiful, and the staff is exceptional. Mom has been there about a month, and could not be happier! The team, starting with Faithe (Director of Community Relations) and Dina (Wellness Director), are beyond outstanding, truly welcoming, extremely knowledgeable, dedicated, and very caring. Also, the Bayada PT has helped my Mom make tremendous progress walking and functioning. Faithe was amazing; she made it possible to get my mother admitted directly from Meridian Brick Rehab in less than a week, including Memorial Day weekend. The social worker at the Rehab reached out to Faithe at about 5pm Thursday (pre MD weekend), and Faithe called us back that night and discussed our situation and needs. Then, Faithe arranged meetings for the next day (Friday): 1) to tour the facility in the morning, and 2) for an evaluation of Mom by a regional nurse in the afternoon. We met with and had the tour by Marilyn (the Executive Director), and the regional nurse, Marie, met with and evaluated Mom. Marie called me that afternoon with a detailed report and good news that Mom was a great fit for Brandywine. Marie was so pleasant, thorough and supportive. Then Faithe walked me through the admissions process and paperwork over the next several days. Dina was also critical to the process and transition for Mom. First, Dina helped get my Mother properly medicated. The hospital doctors had reduced some of her medications- including her anxiety and sleeping medications, and she was having severe problems with sleeping and anxiety when she arrived at Brandywine. From the start, Dina carefully reviewed Mom’s meds. It was Dina who caught the changes that were causing my Mom issues, and followed up to resolve. Dina arranged doctor and nurse practitioner meetings, oversaw every detail of the wellness process (more than I probably know), and always made herself available whenever needed. Truly, everyone I have met has gone out of their way to accommodate my Mother and make her feel welcome and special. Just to acknowledge the team members I have met so far: Anna at the Front Desk has been very friendly and informative, answering questions, delivering messages, generally guiding us. Ken helped greatly on move in day, including the phone and TV set up, cart assistance, teaching Mom how to turn on the air, hanging a clock, and much, much more to make her welcome and comfortable. I must mention Maureen-the weekend nurse- who was extremely diligent in dealing with my Mom’s anxiety, sleeplessness and blood pressure issues to get her through the first weekend, until she saw Dr. Patel and the medications could be properly adjusted. Mom already loves Dr. Patel, and I am very grateful to Annette –the nurse practitioner-for going through and discussing all Mom’s meds with us, making some immediate changes and implementing plans to determine further adjustments. Pat, the second floor housekeeper, has gone out of her way to care for my Mom. My Mother talks about her like a new best friend! And, at meals, she has been purposely seated with a very friendly group! Also, my Mom loves all the amenities and activities! My Mom has been welcomed into “the family” with open arms. I must say, I am starting to feel a little jealous!

My mother has been here 4 months. She absolutely loves the place. Faith from community relations was very personable, helpful and easy to work with. The nursing staff is very accessible. Ken in the facilities area was proactive in ensuring the move in went smoothly. The food is top notch. My mother participates and enjoys many of the activities. Her fiends visit and all comment about how nice the facility is.

I moved my mother to Brandywine last December after visiting numerous assisted living facilities in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. By far, the decision was emotional and stressful for us. The staff at Brandywine, especially Faith and Dina, are so involved in helping settle in the new residents that before long, Brandywine has become my mom's new home. I am so impressed by the Director, Marilyn. As with any new experience, some kinks had to be worked out and Marilyn is always helping us with her knowledge, compassion and love for her residents. All of the staff are experts in dealing with the elderly, I visit my mom all the time and i see the care, dedication and diligence of the entire staff.

Our loving Father found himself living on his own for the first time.after 59 wonderful years of marriage after the unexpected lose of our loving Mother 1 yr ago. After a lonely winter, he then realized it was time for a change to move closer to family. My sister and I immediately shopped around Ocean County area and toured both Assistant Livings and thought of possibly buying into a Senior Private Home Development. After going down our tour list and leaving the closest place for last...Brandywine Living at The Gables....we now regret it wasn't our first stop of the day (we could have saved so much time). It was everything we were looking for and MORE to start the new Chapter in our loving Dads Life. Our Dad who could be picky at times, fell in love with the place only 2-3 days in and started referring to it as his condo (Dad had a beautiful bright and cheery crnr unit with both a large l.r., bdrm, bath and kitchenette). Dad was a real FOODIE all his life and the selections of foods on their menu impressed Mr. Foodie of 86yrs. He also looked forward each day to eating meals with such wonderful gentlemen he sat with each meal. The Staff were so welcoming and always there for any questions he had or the family. The nursing staff under DINA were all so professional/patient/ caring/helpful and always worked with a smile. Juliette is just 1 of the many wonderful staff people who maintained the rooms each week with tender loving care as if it were their own homes, fresh towels, bed made, kitchen/bath wiped down etc. and most importantly carried on delightful and heartwarming small talk with our DAD that always made him feel special each time they saw him. To save yourself time and energy, PLEASE make BRANDYWINE Living at the Gable your 1st Stop to tour when looking for an Assistant Living for your loved one!!

I am a relative of current residents of Brandywyne the Gables. It was a very trying time for my family to get my Aunt and Uncle to agree to move there. Maria and Faith were and still are extremely helpful and patient once the decision was made. The entire staff made the transition extremely easy and comforting. Although, it was difficult for them in the beginning, the friendliness of the entire staff made them feel right at home in no time.

We chose Brandywine Living at the Gables for my aunt when it became apparent she could no longer manage on her own. She has been there over 3 years now and is he initial adjustment was difficult for her but everyone at Brandywine made the transition an easy one for the family and for her. We are so pleased with the care and attention she receives there and rest easier ourselves knowing she is well cared for.

It's a decision that does not happen in a moment. A life changer that will make a difference in the quality of the life of the person that made the most difference in my life..... In my case my mom. I know that the people at The Gables care and treat my mom with dignity and kindness the way I had envisioned. .The staff at every level is trained to understand the importance of the types of resident that enters into this type of facility and situation.. It requires patience and love and so much mo0re that THE GABLES TEAM PROVIDES.....thank you to all

We chose Brandywine Living at The Gables for my mother, and she is very happy there. The place is wonderful. They welcomed her beautifully. She is on level 3 care, and they are top notch. Her room looks beautiful. They have a movie theater, and their restaurant is lovely. She doesn't have any complaints in regard to the food. The people are very warm and caring. My mother feels very safe.

We have asked Brandywine Assisted Living at the Gables to help us with respite care for my 97 year old father-in-law in the past. Since my father-in-law is thankfully still pretty active, my husband and I care for him in our home full-time. But when we needed a couple of weeks off in the past few years, Brandywine provided wonderful care and gave us peace of mind that my father-in-law would be looked after. They could not be more accommodating, kind, professional, caring, or attentive. My father-in-law enjoyed his stay there--both times for about two weeks. The staff is amazing, there is no other word for it--they are so warm, so kind, so genuine. The room they provided for him was lovely--very comfortable, convenient, and safe. He enjoyed all the meals, all the choices--his comment was, "top of the line".

My mother has been a resident of The Gables since January. She is 92 years old and is basically independent, however since my father passed away she has found daily life to be increasingly difficult. When assisted living was suggested she adamantly refused. My husband, daughter and I decided to research options knowing it was the right thing to do. Upon entering The Gables, any anxiety I had about placing my mom melted away. The facility is gorgeous and spotlessly clean. The rooms are beautiful and the amenities are non stop. The dining is five star. While all of this is important, it's the staff that sets it apart. They genuinely and truly care about the residences. During a snow storm this past winter, many of the staff voluntarily stayed overnight. There are resident centered activities that are well thought out and the residents love them. If my mom decides to stay in her room during a meal they check on her and usually bring a meal to her room. I am extremely happy with her care and would recommend this facility wholeheartedly!

My brother-in-law has been living at The Gables for several years. The staff is attentive and helpful; the building is clean and well-maintained. Food is excellent... menu with choices at all meals, BBQ outside in the nice weather, "Happy Hour" with entertainment every Friday... lots of activities planned throughout the day.

If you are looking for a senior living home with compassionate, motivated, friendly and truly loving and caring staff and residents, Brandywine Senior Living at the Gables should be at the top of your list. When you speak to any one of the staff at Brandywine, you get the feeling that they love their jobs and the residents. My Mother and Father began their life at Brandywine in January of this year as a couple. Unfortunately, after just 3 weeks, my Dad became ill and passed away. We truly believe that visits to the hospital by the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director helped my Father to let go knowing that the love of his life would be well cared for. The compassion and support shown to my Mom, my sister, and I (who both live out of state) by the staff and residents during my Dad's illness, his passing, and the following month while we stayed with my Mom to settle their estate and prepare their home in order to sell it, was above and beyond. From the simplest gestures of a smiling face, warm good morning greeting and much needed hugs to packing lunches for us to take with us as we cleaned out my parents house, and helping us move furniture, the staff was there for us for whatever we needed. We only had to ask for whatever we needed and they were happy to help. Often times we didn't even need to ask, they just seemed to know what we needed and offered their assistance. Today, 6 months later, while we are all still grieving the loss of my Dad, my sister and I are comforted knowing that my Mom is slowly finding her way without her husband of 56 years with the help of the staff and other residents at Brandywine. Not only does she have new friends and activities to fill her days, we all have the comfort of knowing that should Mom need any type of medical care, a friendly ear or assistance with anything, she has that available to her 24 hours a day. A true blessing for all of us.

My mother has been a resident of Brandywine for over 7 years and loves it there. The staff are all sincerely caring for the residents which is highly important to me. The nursing staff has been wonderful with the care they given my mother. Her care needs have increased in the last couple years and they've been great handling her additional needs. The food is delicious with a wide variety of selections. If you don't want what they're serving you can order something else. The desserts are outstanding. My mother enjoys a number of the many activities they provide at Brandywine which keeps her busy throughout each week. The facility is beautiful inside and outside. The landscaping and summer flowers are gorgeous. The pond by the outside porch provides hours of enjoyment watching the fish and wildlife that flies onto the pond. My mother has made many friends at Brandywine through the years which is wonderful since she was not from this area and did not know anyone. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs assisted living.

Brandywine was a memory care facility and a dementia care. I was really impressed with the staff. I met the nurse and the administrator. We took a tour of the facility. They seemed to have a lot of activities. Nature Preserve came in and did an exhibit for them. I think they even brought in some live animals. At night time, they had a big screen TV where everybody would gather and they would sing old time songs and they would have the words on the screen. The activity level they had was pretty impressive. They had this old town theme in the center. It's very well secured, the rooms were nice. Easy access into the showers and the grounds were nice when we walked in.

I was in Brandywine for one night. It was an open house. The staff was extremely nice. It's assisted living, and it's quite beautiful. The whole place is absolutely gorgeous. It's quite big, and it's well-appointed. We visited in two rooms with two people, and they had nothing but praise for the place. Everything was very nice, but they were too expensive.

Mom is currently in Brandywine Assisted Living at The Gables. This is larger and has quite a lot of activities. The staff are professional, caring, open to family and if you have concerns they're willing to check them out. The meals are delicious. The dining room is very comfortable and cozy. If you did not want to attend the meal they could bring it to our room or ask you to take it at anytime of the day to make sure you have proper nutrition. One day my mom ate lunch and she didn't like what was on the menu. She asked the young woman who was serving to make her peanut butter and jelly on wheat bread. Half an hour later, the woman came up to her room with 2 pieces of bread, a cup of peanut butter and a jelly. She didn't know where to put the jelly. That was cute and was appreciated by my mother.

My mother is really doing well at Brandywine. The people there are amazing. The nurses there are phenomenal. The food is good. My mother has a big room. It has a bathroom with a walking bathtub and a shower. She also has a small refrigerator, a sink, and a couple cabinets in the room.

My mother passed away before we even put her in Brandywine Assisted Living. But it seems to be a very nice place. It has a friendly atmosphere, it's clean, and it didn't smell. It's close to the hospital, too. They showed me one room with a bed and TV. I think you will have to bring in your own furniture. The staff was very friendly and compassionate. I didn't observe activities, but when I was there they had a party going on outside and there was music.

The facility is very close to Brick Hospital. The entryway is very inviting. The staff we spoke with both on the phone and in person were knowledgeable and friendly. The admissions person was familiar with many types of insurance and payment options. The menu options were delightful. The various options for day programs were in line with what Grams would have liked to done. The facility had a strange smell. We ended up not using this facility.

I cannot say enough positive things about Brandywine at the Gables in Brick, NJ. Each and every employee, from the Director to the dining room and maintenance staff, is outstanding. These individuals put their heart and soul into every aspect of care for the residents and treat each resident as if they are members of their own families. Each day there are a number of various activities that residents can choose to participate in with the employees enthusiastically encouraging them to do so. Sometimes it's a bus trip to the local dollar store, Wal-Mart, ball park or beach or maybe an art, craft or jewelry making class, or a drama class leading to a monthly production, There are daily exercise classes and Bingo and card games. Birthday parties, sing-a-longs, karaoke, holiday and veteran celebrations and indoor and outdoor concerts are an added treat for both residents and their families. My 87 year old mom has been residing there for three years now, and in all my adult years I have never seen her as happy and healthy as she has been since moving in. Even her physician tells me this is the healthiest, physically and mentally, she has seen my mom since she began treating her many years ago. This facility and the people that work there have been a tremendous blessing to my mom, and also to me. After a difficult struggle with family members who were resistant to my mom living there, I can truly have peace in my heart knowing my mom is receiving the best of care and enjoying her life.
