I went to tour The Mill at Belleville Luxury Apartments. That's only independent living. It's very modern, new and fresh. It's modern updated kitchens and marble countertops. It's a luxury apartment complex, and it doesn't offer anything. There's no food that goes with it; you're on your own. You're paying rent for a modern luxury apartment. It was spacious rooms, beautiful bathrooms, and two bedrooms. There's no staff. There's just a manager that I saw. If you wanted housekeeping, you could have housekeeping. There's a small exercise room, and I wouldn't bother with it. I didn't even care for the surroundings necessarily. It's central to major transportations such as New Jersey Transit and buses. Other than that, there's not much glamor around there. I would give it a 3 just for the interior spaces. The rest I wasn't captivated by, like the exercise room. It's a nice building, it's sort of modern, but has no character. It's characterless.

I'm going to move into The Mill at Belleville. I like the layout of the facility and the apartments were nice. I had two bedrooms, I need space, so that was helpful. They have walk-in closets, that's helpful. The community has nice parks nearby and the senior center within walking distance. There's a hospital that's close by and a medical center there. The other things in the community seemed nice, it's quiet. With the two parks nearby, it's a pretty community, it's picturesque. The staff that gave the tour was knowledgeable about the area and about the plans that the town was making for the area. She showed us all around the facility so we could see the exercise room, the larger rooms, the patio, that kind of thing. It's a new place, I didn't see anyone there at all, they're just starting to have people in. They also had a day room and a game room, and that was enough for me. There was no dining area, you eat out, there are several restaurants just close by. The facility is very clean and new.

I liked The Mill at Belleville because everything was updated. There are hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, and granite countertops. So everything looks like they have been updated in the apartment. Also, it was bigger, so there was more room for my mother's furniture in the apartment. I like that place a lot. The staff who gave the tour was good and helpful. She answered all my questions and walked me around. She followed up as I had requested the application to be emailed to me, so she took care of that. One of the downsides is they don't have a meal plan. So my mom would have to do all her grocery shopping and cooking. They had a senior center that's located next door to the apartments. There's a senior center there where activities take place such as bingo. Everything was nice.
