Myrtle Manor was family-owned by a mother, a father, and a son. It was an old building, but it was clean. I have my own room. I have a little garden I can work on. They were very friendly. They only prepare one meal for everyone. It's a small place. There are 25 rooms, and they only had 12 people there when I was there. They weren't overstaffed. The room I saw was on the first floor, and it was quite a big room.

Place is run-down, staff is unprofessional, they mistreat their residents, no out-ings, no hot meals, filty living quarters they keep them locked up inside. Have a really close friend here, and hoping to get him out of there ASAP! We're all very worried about his well being. This place needs to be SHUT DOWN!

Visited this facility and thought it was a wonderful place if you are unable to get around easily. The staff is helpful with their residents. The facility is clean, and in a well kept older building. Most residents are not able to get out, and or able to walk very far independently, so it's a perfect place for someone that is not very active. Nice place overall :)

Myrtle Manor is the facility that the hospital case manager recommended for our mom. It’s falling apart. The sink didn’t have a handle on one of the knobs. It looked like a fire trap, and the stairs were really steep. There was nothing to do except a once-a-week bingo tournament which one guy had won six months in a row. They took rides downtown Manchester to the very dangerous area. It was horrible. There was no way for residents to go outside, so people were all just sitting in their rooms watching TV; it’s pretty sad. They need to improve on activities, structure of the building, and some place where people can walk outside without having to go into the street first. The folks spoke a different language, so we don’t really know much about the food, but there was one lady who cooked. The only good thing there is that my mother could bring her cat.
