I know this is a very hard time for you as it was for me but please do not put your loved one here... I had my mom there for two months and I couldn't leave her in that situation the LNA'S are absolutely horrible to the patience and can barely speak any English which can be VERY confusing to the elderly they are NOT gentle when moving them and just leave them for hours and hours alone... My mother didn't eat most nights cause they just left her tray on the burrow where she clearly could not reach it so we would go every day and just wait to see if anyone came in to feed her and nope! Thank God we brought her in food so she could have a WARM MEAL this place is truly horrid! Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions....

My mother has been at Ridgewood Center for about 3 months. The actual nurses - Debby, Annie, and 1 more that I cannot remember her name, are caring and compassionate. These ladies ALWAYS made time to discuss any issues about my mother. But, there is NEVER a doctor when you need one. They will tell you the doctor is coming in but it could be in 2 days. The facility is old and outdated. Equipment, furniture, etc. looks like they were purchased at a yard sale. Horrible heating system - The patients' rooms must be at least 80 degrees. The overall cleanliness is not great - on a scale of 1 - 5, I would give it a 2. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

They have a heart for the patients; however the nurses are not consistent in responding to the patients needs: needing to use the bathroom, getting meals and meds fot example. Not highly skilled fascility!!!

I would definitely find other options before putting someone you love in this facility. Not the cleanest place and they seems to just leave patients laying their beds for days without even getting them into a chair. The food is horrible and the staff are not compassionate at all. Doctors are never available either This should be your last resort. The only reason our relative is their is because of insurance issues. I didn't even want to give one star but site would not allow me to exit without rating

My mother is a resident at this facility. We bought her a new kindle today and within 12 hours of putting it in her hands it was stolen. Don't leave any personal items at this facility you will never see them again.

My sister is at Ridgewood Center because she has cognitive problems and early Alzheimer's. But I really wanted to move her down to Florida. Ridgewood was the nursing home that my sister had worked in at one time. Everybody is very nice. I think it's a good place. It's clean and the staff seems very attentive to the people. They try to keep them busy with different activities. The room is fine, but they have to go to a separate room for the showers. My sister is not crazy about the food and she complains about it a lot.
