I went to Bedford Hills Care and Rehabilitation Center when my mom's partner was there two years ago. It feels very lively like there are a lot of activities. The room is clean. It's a little bit small. But, she's going from a three-room apartment down to that half of a room, so it would be difficult for me to see it in a different light at the moment. They have a physical therapist and a mental health geriatric care on staff. They celebrate holidays. They have someone who comes in and plays the piano, sings songs, and tries to engage the population. The staff seems to be very caring and very on top of things.

My brother was in this facility for 3 weeks. It was one of the worst experiences we hav had with healthcare. He was basically in bed for 3 weeks and left much much weaker than when he arrived. It also took them a week to get the doctor's orders for outside services to Visiting Nurses, so now 4 weeks in bed. Roommate had covid and instead of moving him they left him in the room. His roommate was also incredibly loud, blared his tv (partially deaf) so it was impossible to talk to my brother on the phone. It was a miserable experience and there is no way my brother would ever return to any kind of care. Horrendous food and though he could order sandwiches, no one assisted him with this.

Bedford Hills is very good, and they had a rehab center. The rooms are very clean, and the grounds are beautiful. The dining area is very neat and clean.

Had my mother here last year and unfortunately again this year. Every time I go see her there's always people smoking in the main entrance. This care is poor as they are understaffed and the rooms are filthy!! I don't know what happened in the past year but it went for the worst

Bedford Hills is a really nice place, but it's expensive. If you need to go to rehab, that's the place to go. They have exercise in two gyms. It's unbelievable. My mother went there for rehab with a broken hip. She's 93 and didn't even use the 100 days. That's how nice they are. My mother didn't have to pay because of a Medicare supplement.

I went to Bedford Hills, and I did not like it at all. I didn’t find that it was very clean, and it had a urine smell. I just did not have a good feel about it. I think it would not be the place for my father. Although the rooms were OK; there were two people in a room.

This is a truly one of a kind facility. My father in law passed away a week ago under the care and loving support of all his nurses there. He had been in and out of numerous facilities and nothing compared to Bedford Hills. The care and compassion is second to none. I want to thank all the nurses and staff for letting my father in law live the last weeks of his life amongst a new "family" who loved and cared for him so much!

My mom was at Harborside Northwood for almost 6 years. My mom received the best care I would have wanted for her. The nurses and LNA's were so kind, affection and very caring of my mom. If I had a complaint I would go directly to the source and it would be straightened out. My one complaint was that they had too many agency LNA's/nurses at times that did not know the resident, and, I feel, that they did not have the compassion that the employees had. Overall I was very happy with the care. My mom passed away almost 5 years ago and I still see employees from there that still mention my mom and how they loved them. I would recommend this nursing home.
