My brother has been living at Lakeside Manor for the past year and a half and it's the best place he could be. The staff is stable and caring, the facility is clean, the food is nutritious and the social opportunities well-planned. Weekly laundry and cleaning service is provided. I've read the other reviews complaining that the facility is old and dark. Well, the building was built in 1981 and only the spaces that face north are a little dark. My brother's apartment faces east and has plenty of natural light. Other independent living places may look like a Marriott, but I believe that Lakeside Manor has the best director and staff and the friendliest residents. It really feels like a community.

I toured Lakeside Manor. The staff was very friendly, and the residents that I saw seemed happy. What I did not like was that it was in dire need of renovation, and the rooms were very small. The dining area needed updating. The activities were good, but the building needed to be redone. The girl who helped me was wonderful. She's great. For activities they have physical fitness, they have a salon, they do parties, and they have a party room. They're very active there. They have several activities for people. However, they need new carpeting throughout, and refurbishing of the rooms. They need remodeling in their rooms, carpeting, and paint.

I went on a tour of Lakeside Manor. It's old and it's dark. It wasn't unpleasant, but it wasn't as nice as the other places. The amenities were standard, but I don't think that they were top quality. They offer the same things that everybody offers. It just didn't look as nice as some of the others. The staff was pleasant though.

My sister will be moving into Lakeside Manor. It's a lower-income place and old, but it was very nice. The staff is great, so my sister decided to go there. The staff was incredibly friendly. It was very warm and inviting. The residents were very friendly also. The facility was nicely maintained. They serve three meals a day. They do house cleaning and laundry. They have a library, garden patio, and transportation to services and grocery stores. They had a lot of DVDs and books. The carpets were worn and had older-style furniture. My sister kind of liked it. It wasn't a fancy place. They mentioned that some people had moved back from more expensive places because they liked the family connection here. They had an exercise room, exercise classes, chair exercises, and a big bingo room. The cost was good.

I toured Lakeside Manor. There was some kind of a problem with communication because when I got there, they weren't expecting me. I think possibly the people at Lakeside Manor didn't read their emails. The building is quite old, and it's not as spacious as the place I moved into. It seemed a bit cramped. They need to update the building if possibly a new building. The prices were better, less expensive.

Lakeside Manor was a lovely place. I think the room was too small for me. It's like moving into a small hotel room, but everything was great. They had everything you can think of. It's wonderful. The staff was wonderful.

The Lakeside Manor community was happy and doing things together. The building was very depressing. The staff seemed friendly and good. The apartments that I saw there were also dark and depressing. Their eating area was a dining and activity room combined; nobody was in it, and it wasn't being used at the time. I don't need that kind of a facility, so it didn't appeal to me. I'm giving fair judgment for someone who does. People there seemed to be enjoying being there.

I went to Lakeside Manor. The staff was OK. They were good. They were pleasant. They showed me around. When they took me into a room, it looked like it needed to have some work done into it, like the curtains were down, the blinds were down, and the floor squeaked. It wasn't as clean as some of the other places. Of the four places that I looked at, that was the one that I didn't like the most. It just seemed like it wasn't really kept up. They seem like they have activities and stuff, and that's what I liked about it. They seemed to have activities for people, so they're not going to be sitting around doing nothing. They have something to do. The staff members were really nice. There were some ladies sitting at a table playing cards, so they were doing something together.

I am at Lakeside Manor and I like it here and the people are so friendly. I like the way that they care around here. They watch over us, but they give us our freedom. We have our apartments, but they are always watching over and I kind of appreciate that because at our age things can happen like falls. The people are happy here because everyone rolls outside and talks. There is nothing that I do not like at this point. They even clean my room and do my laundry. It's wonderful. My room is very sunny and bright, I love it, and I enjoy being in here. I just took my shower, and I am just sitting down and relaxing. The dining area is nice. If I am eating to relax, I can just do a takeout. It is a lovely dining area. Lots of people have returned to the dining area after the pandemic. I kind of bring mine back to my apartment. The food is fine, and it has a good variety. The staff is what I like best. They are very caring and are always watching over me and making sure that things are done and are taken care of, it's not all business. There was a trip a couple of days ago that I missed. I think we can choose where we want to go, and our bus driver will take us there. So, I am really happy about going to the bookstore Grass Roots. I have not been there in years and I used to go with my kids every couple of weeks. I went shopping at all the supermarkets a few days ago. I've only been here almost two weeks so I'm just getting acclimated to everything. They'll bend over backward here for you so I, for one, don't want to take advantage of that. So, I am careful with what I do so that I am considerate of them like locking the doors and at a certain time not going out. They are just really careful about everything and I appreciate that. They have all kinds of games and movies. One of the gentlemen bowls at online bowling. On Sundays there's cheese and wine and quite a few people sit around, and they play cards sometimes. I don't know about everything that is happening. I think there are different things that you can do. I don't know even half of them yet. When we were waiting to go into the dining room, I looked at the calendar and it is just jam-packed with all the stuff that we can do, I had to kind of take it one day at a time. I love the idea of the field trips; it seems a lot of fun and it is something to look forward to.

We visited Lakeside Manor for my husband's father. The property was OK. It was nice, it's much older, and it looks older. It doesn't give you the feeling of a Marriott-hotel property like the other place we visited. It was a little funkier. The staff was fine; there was nothing wrong with them.

Great place. My mom had to move out to an assisted living facility due to declining health but while she was there, the staff and management went out of their way for her as she was declining physically. They have many services available and I would recommend calling them for a tour/interview. Amazing value and my only minor suggestion is that the facility could use some new carpet. Otherwise, loved the place and cannot say enough good things about Lakeside Manor.

Mom moved in to a beautiful one bedroom with porch just before the pandemic. I appreciate the staff who have been at Manor at Lakeside for 10-15 plus years. Stable, professional loving folks that provide for mom when I can’t. And they keep her safe. She enjoys life and her small groups there now.

While other facilities near by struggled with COVID--lots of cases, no visitors or a virtual lock down, these guys were all over it. You have to be impressed.

I can't say enough good things about Lakeside Manor. Both the residents and staff are friendly and always smiling. My mom recently had to leave because she needed a higher level of care. She was sad to leave and the staff and residents were genuinely sad to see her leave. She was a resident during the COVID 19 pandemic and they did a tremendous job keeping her and the other residents safe. I'm so glad I found Lakeside Manor for my mom.

I love in Utah and went to visit my friend. Good was dispecable. Frozen dinners are better. Portions were very small. Place my friends told her had bed bugs. All staff was nice at first to her but latter rude. She is paying way too much for what she gets. Bianca was really rude told her to shut up and go to her room

We like Lakeside Manor. It seemed decent and acceptable. They have some problems with running out of food. They allow their employees and some guests to eat the food so towards the end of breakfast, lunch, or dinner, they run out of food. They should institute a policy that their employees can eat no food until all the residents have eaten first. Other than that, they do wonderful. The care is wonderful. They go around and knock on their doors each and every single meal and make sure they're OK. My friend wasn't able to get out of the bathtub once so he pulled the cord, and they immediately came and helped him. They clean the rooms and do laundry on time. It's independent living, but they have pull cords, and they have someone on-staff 24/7. The staff is excellent. They could use some fresh paint and new carpets. They have a full schedule of activities, bingo, movies, walking, an exercise room, they go to stores, and they take people to church.

My cousin lives at Lakeside Manor. He seems very happy with it, and I find it to be adequate. The rooms appear to be clean. They have an activity room, a library, and an exercise facility. It seems very clean and doesn't have a hospital smell to it.

Lakeside Manor Retirement was fine, but we did not like it because it was very stuck up. There was no openness. There was a grand piano, but it was an old one. The hallways were narrow and dark. It was very sad. They did not have a front lobby. They had several rooms, but they were hard to find, and it was kind felt like a maze. They were old, and they needed updating. The staff seemed tired. They were pleasant and all that, but they seemed tired and underpaid. The dining area was not great.

I decided to go with Lakeside Manor and I am living here now. I am enjoying being here very much. The food in the dining room is just great, the people here are very pleasant, and I like my apartment. So everything is really pleasant and very nice. It is not too expensive either, and it is also very homey. It is just very comfortable.

I didn’t care for Lakeside Manor Retirement. They didn't have that many people there. It was very little, old. and very dirty. The staff was really busy the day I visited. They were like in a hurry, and I said "Aren't we getting lunch?" because we had gone without eating, and the lady there said "Oh yeah, we could get lunch." Then she got a couple of sandwiches and a hotdog.

Even though Lakeside Manor is an older facility -- and it does have some older amenities -- my mom is so happy with the staff. Ashley is the general manager, and she is wonderful. She has helped us so much. Also, Heather -- whom we see almost every day when we go in -- is awesome. All the staff is lovely. It couldn't be any better for my mom. She likes that more laid-back, less fancy living; she really likes it. Their dining facility is clean, the food is good, and they can fix some other things besides the menu. Mom is really happy with it, and so are we. We've had the food, it tastes good, and it is homemade. Her room is a medium studio. We went in, and they let us decorate it any way that we wanted to -- which is really nice -- and we got to paint it. The room is an ample size for her, the bathroom facilities are awesome, and the little kitchenette is really great. They do all kinds of stuff every day. My mom does Bible study and Bingo, they also have movie night and groups or socials, and they take the residents whenever they need to go to their doctors and on shopping sprees. Of all the activities that they have there, my mom really likes it. I think the place maybe off the radar, but they are awesome. They may not have the newest facility or the biggest, brightest, and newest equipment and stuff where it looks like a hotel, but that doesn't matter; it is the care that they get.
