Just a quick note about the Thanksgiving dinner ..... it was great! Plenty of delicious food, beautiful decorations, many door prizes, and great company. Rachelle, the volunteers, and the whole staff did an outstanding job; I was impressed. Can't wait to experience Christmas, New Years, and all the events to come.

I lived at Country Club at the Meadows for about five years and it was ideal. They had a monthly calendar that was full every day, and the staff was great. They had a pool, a barbecue area, a picnic area, and all kinds of games. We had a lot of parties during the week and the food was good. The facility was very nice. Their apartments were kind of small for the price.

The grounds are very nice but I don’t live in the grounds. The apartments are old and not worth the the price, plus there are no washers and dryers in the apartments, they can get you one for a fee of an extra 40 dollars a month. I have been here for nearly three years and plan on moving out as soon as my lease is up. Beware, they will add dollars onto your rent as they wish, if and when you renew your lease.

I liked Country Club at the Meadows. It had a beautiful entry into the area and their own club house. I liked it because the grounds were very pretty and very park-like with lots of grass, pine trees, and palms trees. It was just beautiful and all right in front of the facility. You could get to your apartment from the outside. They had coffee in the morning, lunch once a week and potluck dinner once a week. They had a big activities room with a pool table, an exercise room, a library, and a shuttle bus that went everywhere often. The apartment itself wasn’t all bad. A problem you have when you have apartments that are all attached is you only have windows in the front, so a lot of these apartments were kind of dark. Also, I did not like the kitchen. Most of them were built in the late '80s and still had the same '80s kitchen in an old, almond color. They should really paint the cupboards white because it really brightens up a room since there are not many windows. They were willing to put in stainless steel appliances for an extra $100 a month.

Country Club at the Meadows was very lovely, but I could not afford it. The staff was very nice. The apartments were very nice, but the kitchen was a little small. That was my only gripe about it. They took residents to casinos and all kinds of different places.

I enjoyed my visit while volunteering at this assisted living location. The residents quickly embraced me and treated me like a family member that they had known for years. The staff was very informative and friendly. They have delicious meals that are served to the elderly that live there... and themed events on the holidays with turkey on thanksgiving and ham for easter. Weekly events keep everyone active, as well as allowing the residents to go out and grab some fresh air on bright sunny days. I absolutely loved a resident named Sue while I was there, and I was sad to hear when she passed. The staff makes it fun and I could tell right away that the residents loved being there. Overall, a very nice place for the residents and family can feel comfortable trusting them with their loved ones. Every staff member did their best to ensure the residents were fed, bathed, and needs were met. I can only pray that places like this are around when I am elderly.

I previously lived at this gated community, senior living facility for one year. It is located near a casino which has round-the-clock bingo, a very big draw for seniors. The complex offers a weekly free breakfast in their community room, plus a group dinner once a month. They offer buses to take residents to be in the audience of a TV game show. There is an on-site hair salon. Although I no longer live there, I enjoyed my residency very much.
