I got to visit The Springs At Whitefish. It was very nice. We saw one of their apartments. For my needs they have a limited capacity for Medicaid patients. This is what my mom will be. We could self pay for a little bit, but she needed to go to Medicaid. That limits our choices, and also memory care was going to be a problem as she gets further/further down to dementia. They have everything. It's like a little apartment house, like an apartment complex. It was really nice. We saw that it looked like a restaurant, it was nice. When I get old maybe that's where I'll go. The manager took time with us. She toured us even though she knew that it probably wasn't gonna work for us. She was very helpful. The facilities were beautiful.

I toured the The Springs at Whitefish. It is beautiful, like a resort. The person who accommodated me was very nice, very knowledgeable of the facility and very knowledgeable of memory care. The tour was quite enjoyable. The dining area was very nice. They offered Sunday church service, different activities, and outings. Some of the more independent people in the memory care are even able to go to the church services. They also have arts, crafts and exercise program.

The Springs at Whitefish was a lot like walking into a hotel. It was very professionally run and the person who took me on the tour was very nice and had all the answers to the questions that I asked. They showed me a room and they had a waiting list. I wasn't comfortable with the way it was set up. It's like walking into a Best Western and a Hilton. It was in the afternoon and it was very quiet. The residents had just finished lunch and there wasn't anything going on. They told me the list of the activities throughout the day including happy hour. It was nice and it could be a possibility, but it was a little more expensive than I feel I can afford. They were all very professional and very courteous. I have no problem with it at all except for the cost.

There is a warm, nurturing environment to the Springs which is located in the resort town of Whitefish Montana. The staff takes great pains to make the residents feel welcome. The resident's family members are welcomed with a friendly, caring attitude. The apartments are spacious, well lit and offer mountain or pond views. The food is nutritious and nutrients are carefully monitored so that the diet contains healthy foods. The wait staff is courteous as well and resident concerns are met with promptly.Medical care is close by; the hospital is just down the street and there is an in-house service to dispense medicines as well as a van service that will take residents to appointments. Should a resident require more serious medical care, such as going for cancer treatments, the Springs arranges so that the resident is driven to the appointment and picked up. There are many activities that are provided by the Springs as well. There is a daily newsletter, bingo, bridge, games, pool, scenic drives and shopping visits that are routinely arranged. The Springs is recognized regionally as being a well-run, caring facility.
