I was at The Village Senior Residence. I liked the whole thing. There wasn't anything that I didn't like. Their food was good, and their service was good. We had a lockdown from COVID and the only people that I would let in were the one that brought the food and the nurse when they had to come in and check on us. They respected me for that. One of the staff members thought that I had COVID because I wasn't letting anybody in. I wouldn't allow housekeeping in. I didn't let laundry in. The food was very good. If you wanted something extra, you could get it. A lot of times I would get a sandwich to take to my room, and that was over and above whatever food was served and they didn't mind. They were great. It's pretty new. They had exercise classes, movies, and painting classes. I was in a group, and we played Mexican Train Dominoes. I played bingo and kept winning. We played Pinnacle two times a week. I was on the main floor not far from the front door. I had a two-bedroom. I felt good. I got to know everybody in the building, even some of them in the unit that needed more help. The dining room held either 11 or 12 tables and would seat four comfortably. I knew everybody in the dining room.

The Village Senior Residence was very clean and it was more of a luxury type of senior living. The dining area was very beautiful, the community area was very beautiful, and the grounds looked very well kept up. The studio room that dad would have gotten was well-maintained, and very nice. It had french doors that would open out to the patio. I was just very impressed with it.

This is the absolute best place to be in Missoula. The management are our friends and get to know us all the little details. I am so glad my children pushed me to move out of the house. Village Senior definitely feels like home.

Great staff, they have been very helpful since my move. Things have been challenging since covid but the Management has and continues to handle the virus well as and keep us safe. The food and kitchen team are the best. Very pleased to call village home

Do not put your loved ones in this facility. The manager does absolutely nothing to help the residents. The food is completely inedible. The rent is absolutely outrageous. You definitely DO NOT get what you pay for.

My dad moved into The Village Senior Residence. That's where he belongs, that's where he grew up, that's where he's lived all of his life, and it's a good place. He probably wouldn't be happy in another state right now, he's got friends and grandkids there, it's good for him. It's great, I have lots of friends from high school and elementary school, whose parents are there. The people who worked there are very kind, and they've given good reports on my dad, so they must be doing some good things.

We were very satisfied with The Village Senior Residence. They were friendly and took time for us. The facility was good, the staff was excellent, and the environment was really good and clean. I like it the best because of the price. You could do the independent living, but when it came to assisted living, your cost would change, but you didnt have to move.

The Village Senior Residence is a very nice facility. Everybody seems very friendly. My father-in-law has been living there for two and half months now. He has a studio apartment. It is excellent. The food is very good. They have exercises twice a day three times a week. They also have a bus that takes them out to lunch in different restaurants in the area several times a month.

My mom is at The Village Senior Residence at present, and our overall experience is very good. They do a good job; it is just very expensive. The caregivers at the caregiver end, the person to person end, are wonderful. They do a pretty good job in so far as they can, given the staffing that they have. And the staffing has actually improved over the time I've been there especially with the administration, especially with getting the pro-memory care unit involved. However, the way that corporate works is not as person oriented as it might be because they charge a certain amount for every single little service that goes on, and it's all dollar based on what the person gets, so if the person needs a lot of attention or care, it becomes extremely expensive. I would say the care is a five, and I would rate the overall healthcare facility a four.

The building is relatively new and the amenities are modern. The grounds were kept tidy and sidewalks clear of ice and snow during the winter months. Upon entering the facility, the receptionist is always pleasant and ensured that I was helped if I had a question. The nurses at the station seemed relaxed and happy, and they maintained a professional atmosphere. I never witnessed any unhappy staff, although sometimes they appeared tired, but that's pretty normal for any job. The CNAs who assisted my grandfather were generally pleasant and gentle. My grandfather was in a wheelchair and had some significant medical issues, but they always treated him kindly and with respect. Many enjoyed joking with him to help him stay happy. They had hallway shower rooms which were more spacious than his personal bathroom, and my grandfather often had to be bathed with staff since he could not stand or transfer himself on his own near the end. I noticed that these rooms were always kept very clean. My grandfather preferred to keep to himself mostly, although he enjoyed chatting with some of the others at his dining table. He didn't frequently take part in the social or other activities on the calendar since he was fairly introverted, but I did notice that the calendar was generally full of a variety of appropriate activities for seniors. Although I can't be sure, I'm not certain that they did much sight-seeing in the community, such as going for walks, touring the local museum, or other appropriate outings. I do believe they transported some mobile residents to grocery stores so they could shop on their own. They have a separate activity room with supplies easily at hand, and another different room for watching TV. Unfortunately it appeared that mostly people enjoyed watching TV, although a few played card or board games when I was visiting. The facilities provided healthy food, although my only significant complaint is that the food was pretty institutional (barely better than hospital food). They did offer a variety of options throughout the week, so given that they were trying to feed a lot of people with a variety of tastes, it's not unreasonable that their food was on the bland side. The property featured wonderful views of the local landscape and had a nice courtyard with beautiful trees and benches. I often took him for a walk outside so we could enjoy nature together. It was always well maintained and the staff seemed to put effort in making sure that it was looking good.My grandfather also participated in regular physical therapy with staff, and he never complained about the staff but often about how sore they made him feel after a good workout (which is good, in my mind!).Near the end of my grandfather's stay, the building had a new addition constructed which was very beautiful, and the single rooms were almost palatial. It was almost nice enough that I would want to stay there myself! All in all I would rate the facility as very good. I would honestly rate it 4.5 stars since I don't have any significant complaints, although I think every facility can be better and even good ones can still improve.

Attractive, comfortable facility. Independent living or assisted living services available.Staff is friendly and competent. Food is good with a lot of variety. Many activities available to residents. Rates are rather high, putting it out of reach for many seniors.
