We toured Touchmark on Saddle Drive. They allow you to stay at their facility when you come to look at it. We were there for five days and four nights and we were not charged for our hotel. We also had all of our meals and they don't charge for those either. We were very impressed with Touchmark and its facility. It was very nice, it's very clean and it's well taken care of. We had several meals there and they were all very good.

I went to Touchmark on Saddle Drive. The rooms that I saw were very nice. They were absolutely clean and in perfect condition. They were a five in their helpfulness in contacting places for additional benefits help. The staff helped me with a contact for VA aid and assistance, which has helped me, and they were thorough with their information. It seemed like they were very open. So they have good materials and good activities. I talked to the people who lived there, and they didn't seem like they would give the food a five. They didn't rave about it. I thought they had a very nice section for mid-meal snacks, a very nice area, and it had more selection of things that they could get if they were hungry, kind of like almost going to a little bakery or store. Many different snack foods, drinks, and coffees.

Great place to retire. Staff friendly and helpful. Many activities and always something to do. Food not so good. Often served cool and you do not receive what you ordered. Lots of excuses for this but none of them valid. If planning on living here should be prepared to fix your own meals. Kitchens in all rooms so it is easy to do.

They over sell how great their facility is, but don't deliver on what they sell. Rent increases, services and staff cuts. Residence have to continually ask to have additional services fulfilled that they are being charged for. Granted some of the issue may be related to Covid, but that is not the whole answer.

Touchmarkwas larger, it offers memory care, assisted living, and independent. There's a wide variety of rooms, but the facility is old, and uses wall board heating, and the air conditioning unit is up the wall. If you're trying to put in furniture, you had to work around that. They had underground parking for the cars.

Waterford on Saddle Drive is clean, but they are understaffed. I talked to the administrator during my visit, and everything went well. The rooms are beautiful, clean, with upgraded furniture and new drapes. This facility is more for independent-living people who don’t need that much one-on-one assistance.

My mother is living in Touchmark and has been there for about 9 or 10 years now. It's a great place. It's a 1-bedroom with a little office in it and a kitchen. The staff is absolutely top notch. When I meet the staff, they greet me so politely and nicely, and then tell me about how well my mother is doing. They remember my name, and I talk to my mother every week, and she is as happy as can be up there. Never is there a word to say negatively about it. They have a little coffee shop there, or a place where they can go to play cards. She plays Scrabble in the library with a number of their residents. She's in a walking club. They walk up and down the street or to the building when the weather is inclement. They take them shopping every week. They have special activities to go to the community theater. They have doctors that come in every week or every other week. They have the same thing with a beauty shop that comes in every week and takes appointments to fix your hair. It's absolutely excellent. It's a fairly large establishment with beautiful lawns and landscaping and more than adequate parking and more than adequate storage for the residents' personal belongings if they don't fit in the room. It's just a very delightful setting for her.
