The people at Twin Oaks at Heritage Pointe were very nice, very warm, and friendly. It's run as a family facility. It's very nice and everybody pays the same amount. It has two floors and mom would have been on the top floor, so that would have been an issue for her. However, they had the most awesome setup there. The layout was set up in pods where they have one living room and dining room, a gathering/great room in the middle, and all the resident's rooms were off of that. They each had a little sun porch or deck or something where they could go outside. They had game tables in the middle (in their great room area). I saw some women playing cards, and they all seemed to enjoy themselves. They were just a little pricey and their food was not restaurant-style. Whatever they're serving today, that is what they're having and I did not like that. They raved that they have a chef, but they don't kind of accommodate you. So, I wasn't impressed with their dining experience situation.

We liked Twin Oaks at Heritage Pointe's plan and layout. It's a very nice facility, the staff was very helpful, and it's very family oriented. Everybody gets to know everybody. If I had to stay some place, this would be one of them. They have activities and areas where you can be together with your family. They have some exercise equipment. They have a variety of rooms and the ones we saw were more efficiency rooms, which was very nice, had a good arrangement, and was planned well for senior living, with bars and alarm cord. It looks very easy to navigate. There was also enough room for someone to personalize it and make it their own. The dining area was very nice, they have linens, and everybody seemed happy to be there. They were accommodated pretty well. Overall, it's a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. It's a home away from home. The residents enjoy being there, everybody was comfortable, and I didn't see anybody aggravated. It's very appealing to the eye, updated, and well kept. The staff member was friendly, professional, and upbeat.

Twin Oaks at Heritage Pointe was very nice. They have all types of care, from independent to assisted, there's memory care, and also across the street they have villas that you can go into. If you do get a villa and have the food package, you still have to go outside to get to the dining room, which is the only drawback. However, you don't really have to get the food package, which is great, so you'd strictly be on your own. You can still go to group things that they have, and are able to use the facilities, including the covered garage. The place itself is beautiful, and all the rooms were very nice and clean; the whole place was spotless. I had lunch there and you can order anything you want off the menu. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken, and it was delicious, very crispy, and everything was good. A man at our table ordered a peach pie, but they already gave out the last one, so the chef came out and asked if he would like something else. The host stopped by to say hi and asked us what was going on, so I was introduced to a lot of people. It was a great place, and I felt very comfortable there. The dining room was beautiful and their facilities were gorgeous. I enjoyed my tour. They gave me a little gift before I left, and spoke to me on the phone before I left to confirm the luncheon arrangement. The person who accommodated me knew I had dogs, so she gave the dogs a little treat bag. I also got a little gift card from them.

We have friends at Twin Oaks Heritage Pointe. It's close to our house. It has a garage, and I wanted a basement and a garage. They have lots of activities every day, a theater, workout room, classes, Zumba, cheer dancing, social hour every afternoon, and a room for family to visit in. They have a van to take you to grocery stores, doctors, Kohl's, and department stores. I'm moving in next month.

It was very nice, but it was too expensive for us. Everything at Twin Oaks at Heritage Pointe was beautiful. The manager was very nice. The size of the apartment was pretty good. The dining room looked very nice. It's only about four or five years old, so it was brand new, and it was beautiful, but they need to lower their prices.
