My husband had decided to stay at Lake St. Charles Retirement Community. Everybody is very friendly. They're very helpful. The residents are nice, and it's got a wonderful environment. They will do your meds at extra cost. I don't know for people looking, they'd have to call themselves because I don't want to say they're doing something that they're not, but they will do meds at extra cost. They have meals. They have activities and will take you to the doctor up to a certain number of times a month. I don't know how far they'd go though.

I toured Lake St Charles Retirement Community. I liked all of it, except that I thought the kitchens were a little bit old looking. The kitchen could use some modernization. The staff was very nice and very helpful. They invited me to stay for lunch, so that was nice, and I enjoyed lunch there at St Charles. The food was very good. They had a library. They had a gym. I saw both a single bedroom and a double bedroom. They were both nice.

We toured Lake St Charles Retirement Community. The staff was excellent. They showed us the library. We did go through the facility as far as the dining room, where the mailboxes are, the elevators, the cafe, the meeting room, and the activities room and stuff. We did get to see all of that.

My relative moved into Lake St. Charles Retirement Community, and he seems to be doing well. He's pretty well satisfied in there. He's getting good care. The facility is very updated. It's very nice. They've done an excellent job of keeping it up and keeping it clean. It's a very respectable-looking place when you walk in all through the rooms. The rooms that the residents live in are kept clean, and they're nice. There's not a thing I can say bad about this place. The administrative staff is okay. We don't have much to do with staff except for them to clean once a week. They do a good job. Everyone there is very friendly. They have a lot of activities. They play cards and basketball. They quilted and put puzzles together. They have a very active group. The money seems to be a lot, but it is acceptable.

The overall community at Lake St. Charles Retirement Community is very pleasing. Facility is very clean and comforting. Staff all seem caring, respectful, and compassionate with/towards their residents. The dining room and menu are welcoming. Meals are served in a timing manner and are good to the taste. Plenty of activities to accommodate many. However, there are a few things, in my opinion, to look out for. My parents have been living in Independent Living for a few months now, and as we are getting to know staff, we are finding some seem to gossip regarding other residents, to other residents, and also to other staff. Some do come across as being ‘bothered’ at times when we have questions. Not returning calls, etc. Even though there is a Doctor and Podiatrist on staff, might want to be sure your Insurance is covered with them. Maybe something that should have been brought up when the initial tour took place. As it is hard to think of ALL things, this was an important issue to our family to have had in the initial paperwork before signing. I will say the administrators are definitely very good sales people.

Our experience with Lake St Charles Retirement Community was wonderful. They just didn't have a room available right away. It was very clean. The people were very nice. It feels like a great community. I wasn't able to try their food, but the staff told me to call her and come back and I can have lunch there. They have an exercise room and each floor had their own little area where the people on that floor can sit, relax, and talk to other people who live on that floor. You wouldn't have to go downstairs or to a certain place, and I liked that. I liked the way the rooms were set up. It had nice-sized closets, and that's what I loved about it.

My mother-in-law moved in at Lake St Charles Retirement Community 3 months ago. We were very impressed when we toured the facility for the first time. It offers everything we were looking for and more. The place looked very inviting and clean. She felt very at home there. The staff that we've met has been very friendly. They put out a list of activities every week, and my mother-in-law tells us all the things that she's done. They do trivia, dominoes, and lots of card games, and they also do craft projects. They have a library, a hair salon, laundry services, a very nice courtyard, a game room, and a pool table. Compared to the other prices from the other places, that was a big part of our decision.

We went to Lake St. Charles Retirement Community. Our tour went very well. I like the layout, and it's got a very good reputation. The staff were very attentive as well. Amenities seem excellent. They showed us the dining rooms, the activity rooms, the exercise rooms, and the barbershop. I was also pleased with the activities.

We loved Lake St Charles Retirement Community. The amenities, the apartments, the meal plans, we loved it. It was excellent. The staff was warm, friendly, caring, and informative. The apartments were beautiful, warm, spacious, and just seemed so comfortable that ,my mom could see herself living there. She just loved the one-bedroom apartment. She liked that they go on trips where the buses would pick them up and take them to various stores on any particular day (as she likes to shop). We were really happy with everything that we learned about the facility. She was particularly pleased with the setting in the restroom. The way it was cut out was just perfect. I could see her being able to be pretty self-sufficient in the shower area when needed. They have games. The dining area was clean, inviting, and spacious yet personable. You could have a good conversation while eating, but you could also just sit and enjoy a meal. The lady also told us about the continental breakfast every day and as my mom reviewed the menu, she said that those were the foods she liked for breakfast every day. We even had an opportunity to meet some of the residents and they were warm and friendly, too. They approached my mom and said, "You'll love it here. The food is great. We liked to sit here in the solarium area and just look out over the lake." That was very special for me to see that. Everything just looked and smelled fresh. The hallways were bright and there was a place to sit at each end of the hall. The furniture was also clean (I'm a stickler about that). There was no dust on them. I was so impressed. So, we were really happy with the tour.

I have toured Lake St. Charles Retirement Community. The only thing we didn't like is they don't allow scooters, and my mom needs one. Everything else was great. We loved it. It's an independent living. The person who gave me the tour was very compassionate and knowledgeable. They had a lot of large, open gathering areas. I think they got a movie theater, ice cream, and coffee bar.

My wife and I moved into Lake St. Charles Retirement Community. This is the best home around anywhere, as far as I'm concerned. It's well kept. It's got good food. It's just got tons of activities and all kinds of things. The maintenance people are so nice. Everybody is so friendly. They have all kinds of activities. Every week they put on stuff and activities. You can go places and do things all day. My wife would probably rate it a 4. I'm in a walker, so I don't get to do too many activities. I would say it's a little high that they've asked, but it's worth it. They have a library and a place where you can work out. There are bikes you can ride to build your muscles up. They have one pool pool table and walking tracks.

I had an in-person tour of Lake St Charles Retirement Community. The only problem I had with this place was that they don't have any medical on staff. I know some places do. That's the only thing that bothered me. The facility was nice. They had a nice dining area. The grounds looked very nice. It was pretty, well kept up. The staff was excellent, no problem. The menu looked great. There was a big room, and they were all playing bingo. It looked like they were having fun. They have a beauty shop. We didn't look at the gym because my mother isn't interested in that kind of stuff. They have a little coffee bar in the front lobby. They have a big room where people gather. For their price compared to other places, it looks pretty good.

We checked out Lake St Charles Retirement Community and looked at their independent living. The physical appearance is beautiful. It has very good qualities, it is extremely clean, and the people there are very nice. The service that I received when we first walked in was very polite and very professional. The gentleman walked us around the place explaining everything and all the amenities. I was very pleased with everything. We didn't try their food but the menu looked very good. I think they also have an ice cream shop. Everything is homemade like the cakes, pies, and cookies for the residents. They have soups, salads, and desserts. Nothing is brought in so it's very good. They have a nice recreation center for the people. They also have a lot of military people there so it's very nice. When the staff walked us around, he told me about the amenities they had for the military people and my uncle is a retired veteran so that's good. He talked about all the games that they have and different things so there were a lot of activities if they want to participate there. Everybody was extremely nice. There wasn't a single rude person. Even the people that you walked by, like the patients, were all very nice. They all said hi and talked to each other. I have to say that it's a very nice place. You get a good feeling when you walk in.

I went to Lake St Charles Retirement Community. It's clean, it smells amazing, and the staff is very pleasant. The amenities there are amazing from what we saw. Lots of people come out for activities, the floors are clean. Dining room is restaurant style dining, so you order off of a really nice menu, and the room size is perfect. The model room was nice, and then she took us into another room, that exact same size that was all open to see how furniture and things would move in. We could move in and set it up, and it was very nice also. Tons of activities going on all throughout the day. All the residents were gathering upstairs for -- they were going to play cards that day, they were playing blackjack. They've got a large screen TV. They had their own weight room, exercise room, they had a beauty salon that looked like one of the beauty salons you go in here. They have continental breakfast. They serve two meals, or you can just do one meal a day and make the stuff in your own room. They have a beautiful library, they have a geriatrics on staff, and a podiatrist on staff. They come in and clean the room once a week, strip the bed, and do the laundry if you want them to do your laundry, or you can do it yourself.

My wife and I moved into Lake St. Charles Retirement Community. We're in assisted living. The food is great. We really haven't had time to get acquainted because we're still moving in, but people and the staff are very friendly. There are rules here as there are a lot of rules in many retirement communities. One of the things that surprised me though is that we have an electric-powered chair that we're not allowed to use in the building. We've got it in the storeroom, and I guess we could use it if we take it off the lawn or something. They don't tell you that until you move in. The rooms are relatively small, so you have to look very carefully to make sure it's what you expect. They do have a virtual tour, and that is very good. You can get a chance to see a typical room and some various places throughout the complex. The artwork is fantastic. They must have spent a fortune on it. I'm talking about large pieces of art and very, very well done and fine art. The housekeeping staff is good, and the maintenance guys are great. All the amenities are not quite as much, but it's a good deal for the price, I think. The library is well stocked. The appointments to the doctor are limited to 4 trips a month; after that, you have to pay. They have shopping trips like they had one scheduled today for Target. You need to track and check out your transportation requirements very closely. The food is great, but the service is terrible. They hire a lot of handicapped people. They give them a chance, so you have to wait a long time for the meals. There are a lot of apartments, and it's laid out in sections A, B, and C. We're all the way to C, so it's a long walk to our apartment. The balconies are about 4 feet deep and about 12 feet wide. They pay for basic TV services. Then you have to pay for any premiums or like HBO and all that stuff. They have a lot of activities. However, we've been here in such a short time we haven't had an opportunity to take part in any of it. The people here seem to take part in a lot of activities though.

Lake St Charles Retirement Community is probably my favorite of all the places I looked. It was very green with lots of outdoor green space. They had a specific room that was set up as a demo, as opposed to looking at a blank, empty room. You could get a much better idea of what it would look like that way. The staff was great. The food was very good, and the dining area was clean, bright, and light. They had a gym, recreation, and sufficient amenities.

Lake St. Charles was very complete with their care and services, which impressed us, and the price point was much better than anywhere else we looked. We visited both assisted living and independent living. The staff was very nice. They offered us some meals, but we did not take them up on it. It's not brand new, but it's very well kept up.

We went to Lake St Charles Retirement Community. We were only there a short time, but the place was extremely clean. Everybody was extremely friendly, not just the residents, but the staff we had contact with too. The staff was very nice, over the top, willing to take time and roam us around. They explained stuff and answered questions. All the units were very nice. They were working on them, cleaning them up, redecorating them, and repainting them. They had a large gathering room upstairs. There were a lot of activities. They go different places during the day, and they had transportation. They had a nice outdoor area in the front and the back. It is not a huge place, but it was nice. My mom likes it. She is just not quite ready yet. The dining room was very nice. They had white tablecloths and silverware. There were people sitting around and talking.

Lake St Charles Retirement Community is very nice. The rooms are a good size and I love the lake. I also love the outdoor feeling that you get, but they have no garage for our two vehicles. When we walked in the door, we saw about 12 people in wheelchairs, in walkers, and canes. That's not what you want to project for people walking in the door the first time. We're not in that category yet. My wife and I are both walking and in good shape. That probably turned us off more than anything else. The facility is exceptionally clean. The rooms were nice. The scenery was good and the outdoors were excellent. IThe atmosphere itself was not really what we wanted. The only employee I met was the person who gave us the tour. She's very helpful, answered all our questions, and was very positive with her manners.

Lake St Charles Retirement Community was very nice, but it just was not for us. There is a kitchen, a living room, a bedroom, and a bathroom in the room. It's a good size, but not for my furniture. Their dining room is gorgeous, and they have a lot of things to do. They have a library, a place to walk, and a store, and they take you places where you want to go, too. They have a lake across the street, which is really nice. The staff we met were very, very nice, and the building itself was nice. It's a little hard to find, but once you know where it's at, it's fine; you just have to figure out how to get there.

I like Lake St. Charles Retirement Community. I was very impressed with it. It's nicely decorated. The only thing I dislike about it is that you can't have a washer and dryer, but I realized that before I went. They have laundromat places, but I'm living in an apartment and it's right in the closets. Their outside appearance was really nice and in some of the senior living apartments you can actually look down and see the lake. The staff member during the tour was excellent. I didn't meet anybody else. She was very accommodating, very friendly, and very down-to-earth.

I liked Lake St. Charles Retirement Community very much. The price was right, but they don't allow scooters, and I need to use a scooter. They had the best food and the best price. It wasn't fancy, but it was nice. The staff member during the tour was a nice young man, very knowledgeable about what was going on, and he explained a lot of things. I had lunch there. The facility was pretty laid out. When they have entertainment, they have a dance floor that they unfold in a big room. It's an old place, and they haven't upgraded a lot of things. The food was good.

Lake St. Charles Retirement Community was a really good community. The layout was nice. We really liked it. The staff was good and friendly, and they provide a lot of services. The rooms were clean and acceptable for what they have. The residents get two meals and they've got a pretty good selection. The dining area looked clean, open, and nice. They have quite a few things they can do.

I chose Lake St Charles. The price was wonderful, reasonable, and doable. It has a very home-like atmosphere, had a peaceful, secluded setting, and it's by a lake. The staff was excellent and very welcoming. It's an older facility, but the food was excellent.

My mother has been living at Lake St Charles for almost two months. She has a 2-room apartment with a bedroom, living room, a kitchen with a stove and refrigerator, and two closets. They have plenty of activities going on seven days a week all throughout the day starting at 8:00 in the morning right into the evening. The staff is absolutely wonderful and if you have a problem they're more than willing to help you and they're willing to fix things immediately. The food is good. They have a coin-operated washer and dryer available, a beauty salon, and a doctor and nurse on-site. My mom is in independent living.

Lake St Charles Retirement Community's rooms were OK, but they looked smallish. They had a very small library and a recreation room. The place seemed to fairly clean and pretty well-maintained, and the staff was OK. The dining area looked fairly comfortable, but I didn't care for being assigned to a table and eat there all the time with the same people. Their parking is so far from the front door, and they have a whole bunch of parking up close, but that's all handicapped. They're about a hundred yards away from the front door.

We were pleased with Lake St Charles Retirement. The people were really nice there. We sat and ate with the girl that ran the place. She was very nice and very friendly. The dining area was very nice. The food was wonderful. The only down about it was pay laundry. You have to pay for your laundry, and they only offer one meal.

Lake St Charles Retirement Community was kind of big. My mom could have been walking a lot because it was sprawling. The people were very friendly. Everybody I talked to loved it there, so I got a good impression. It had a great big room for meetings, and that was good. They had a huge activity calendar and a bus that took people to churches and places. It was in the area that my mom wanted to live at the time. The grounds were very nice, very pretty, and well kept. The only reason why I gave it a 4 was that it was a bit older and wasn’t modern looking.

The place that I have chosen is Lake St. Charles. The lobby is beautiful, and the people were really friendly. It’s about $1000 cheaper than the other places. The food was good, their menu was very friendly, and it had lots of variety. There’s a nurse 24 hours a day, and there were call buttons in the bedroom and bathroom. There were all kinds of activities, but it was a little less extravagant. There’s transportation, and they have a social center. They have happy hour with desserts, and you can get a drink if you want to.

My mother will move into Lake St. Charles. The rooms are nice. She'll have a 1-bedroom independent living apartment. There is a spa, a hair salon, and a gym. There's all kinds of stuff. Lake St. Charles is a big place. The dining area is very nice. They have lots of activities and pretty grounds. I think that the biggest draw is that it is homey. My mother felt like it is very comfortable and very nice. The people that showed us around were very nice. There is a pavilion for barbecuing. It’s very pretty.

Lake St Charles was very nice. The rooms were very homey and well taken care of. The staff were extra super nice. They had quite a few things for activities and trips to wherever you wanted to go, like the grocery store or church, if the church was not too far away. It seemed a really nice place.

Lake St. Charles Senior Living Community is a small facility, so it was very convenient for my father to get around. The staff were outstanding. The food was very good. There was nothing I did not like about it at all, except that it was too far from my home. There are people playing the piano; they have bingo and other kinds of games going on. They have excursions to the parks from time to time. I would recommend this facility to people looking for a nicer place, because they are reasonably priced, and they provided very good care. It was very clean, well decorated. As far as I’m concerned, it is a nice place.

My friend is at Lake St. Charles. It is very nice, and the people that run it are good people. I noticed that the people living there seem very happy. They sit around out of their rooms and are friendly. They have an exercise room and plenty of activities, like puzzles, and always have coffee around. They have small and larger rooms. My friend took the smaller room, but it is very nice. She has a little kitchen in there.

My aunt moved into Lake St. Charles Retirement in August, and she is doing very well. It was a very good choice. One, it was a close location to where my handicapped sister is in a Medicare facility and they can visit back and forth, which was nice. They also took dogs, and she had a little dog that moved with her. Unfortunately, he just passed away in the last two weeks, and that was very disturbing. Those were two of the reasons why we chose it. Everybody was very, very friendly, plus I was told about them by a lady whose husband worked there for 25 years, and it just all kind of came together in a nice way. The facility is beautiful, well-kept, clean, and sanitary. They are very meticulous about everything, so that is nice. They have 3 different restaurant facilities, we did have lunch there, and the food was good. It has a lot of acreage with trees around it, so it is a very, very quiet park place. She has a nice one-bedroom with a nice sliding glass door that looks out to the area with trees and everything; it also has a beautiful sunset view.

I chose Lake St. Charles mainly because of its proximity to my son, and it was a little more reasonable than some of the others. The food, most of the time, is a bad meal, but you can choose what you want because they have open menus, and you can get one or three meals a day. The staff is all very pleasant and they keep the place clean. One thing they can improve on is parking; they don't have adequate parking space. I sure would recommend this place to others.

My husband and I used to live at Lake St. Charles. I was very satisfied there. They were very lovely. They had assisted living, independent living, and a nursing home. Every level of it was great. The food was excellent, and the service was good. The cleaning service was also good, and everybody was really friendly and helpful. There were very nice people in it. They provided transportation to doctors, and they also had a doctor that came there, but I stuck with mine. The activities were very good. They had sing-a-longs, and they also had bingo several times a week.
