I am very grateful that my father is a resident of the Mexico, Missouri Veteran's home. He is receiving excellent professional nursing care and has the opportunity to interact socially with others. It seems that all of the staff and personel are eager and quick to meet all of his requests and needs. The facility is very clean and accommodating to the needs of family as well as residents. The Mexico, Missouri Veteran's home is a God send. I am fully confident that my father is well cared for, happy and safe. Thank all of you at Mexico's Missouri Veteran's home.

When you walk into the Missouri Veteran's home, you don't feel like you are walking into a nursing home. The typical urine smell that you smell in a lot of nursing homes is not found there. The staff is always bright and cheery, ready to assist residents or families with anything they can. They are respectful to residents and families. There are always activities for the residents to participate in. It is definitely the most pleasant nursing home experience I have ever seen.

My grandfather was a resident at the Mexico Veteran's nursing home for about two years after falling and breaking his hip. Living in Florida at the time, I only visited him a few times while he has in the facility, but my impressions were always good. The facility is large, new, and well kept. I know my grandfather always enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards, and participating in the other activities at the home. The food in the cafeteria was decent, as far as institutional food goes. Having lunch with a family member there is at least a good deal (I think it was only a few dollars for lunch). The thing I'll remember most about the Veteran's home was when a few of my grandfather's nurses came to his funeral. I was blown away by that, it's nice to know it's more than a job for some people.

This is a State Veterans Nursing Home That provides a full range of services to Missouri veterans. Primarily they provide residential nursing home care and are particularly focused on severly disabled and cognitively impaired residents. The facility is well managed and well maintained. The structure is modern and has modern equipment. The staff are local and tend to either know the residents or their family. This leads to a high quality and personal care provided to residents and family.

This facility is very clean and very welcoming. There is an activity room on the ground floor with a television, couch, tables, and aquarium. When my grandfather was here, this was a great place to host social events or simply play cards. The food is pretty good and there is a nice seating area wil plenty of windows and sunlight. We always has positive experiences with the staff and trusted them to care for my grandfather.

This VA home is very nice. The grounds are kept up with plants and flowers, and there is even a path that winds through it that you can walk your family members on. There is a pool table, card table, and televisions that make visiting and socializing enjoyable. The residents are clean, well fed, and well cared for. The residents share rooms, but they are adequate in size. The residents are able to decorate their space in order to give it a more homey feel. All in all, it's a very pleasant home.

My father lived at this facility for two years before his death. It was very clean and run efficiently. The staff was very professional and tried to give the residents personal attention. However, they needed more help. These workers were so busy and almost ran from room to room. My hat is off to them because they were not paid what they are worth! They had two doctors assigned to the entire place, and they only saw the most sick residents. I would say the resources were stretched to the limit, and the staff did a remarkable job. Community groups also provided activities like bingo and music. It was sad to see so many residents who did not have anyone to visit them.

My father was a resident at the Mexico Missouri Veterans Home for 2 years. I was very impressed with the high quality staff and administrators. They knew all the residents names and every resident was treated with respect. The facility was very clean and comfortable. My father received excellent care. He also enjoyed the activities offered to the residents. The food was very good and family could eat with the resident they were visiting. Family activities (Christmas party, bar-be-ques, Veterans Day and Family Day) were also scheduled during the year. I highly recommend this facility.
