My wife was at Cottages of Lake St Louis for five days. It was overall a good experience with the exception of at the beginning. It's a rehab, so there was a lot of noise in the evening and stuff and she was just not prepared for that. She wasn't used to it, but after we talked to a few people, we've got that problem resolved. The staff was friendly. They were good to us. The food was good, but I didn't care for it myself. Things were well kept. It was clean and nice. They had a couple of people come in, musicians do performance and things like that. They did a couple of things. Value for money was good.

I've been to Cottages of Lake St Louis twice. I just got out in August, and I was there in June, about ten to twelve days each time. I was there for rehab. It's a very nice community. You got a room by yourself. They need more help in the kitchen. There are two cottages for rehab and each got ten rooms, so they have ten patients and each cottage got its own separate kitchen, but they don't have enough staff. The person cooking got to go help get people out of bed and stuff. The staff was excellent including the nurses, occupational and physical therapy. They kind of come and go too, so I see different people because they move around. It was the kitchen help where they were shorthanded. The food left a little bit desired. Breakfast is good. They cook your breakfast. You get oatmeal, eggs or what have you. Other meals weren't the best. They had bingo. They didn't have as many activities. I played bingo one day. The facility was very clean. Each got an individual room and right there, you got your bathroom and shower altogether. It was very handy and convenient. They're overpriced. If you had to pay for yourself, it was $400 some dollars a day, and it would come up to about $12,000 a month.

I stayed at Cottages of Lake St Louis for under a week. It was very nice. The only thing is once in a while, when I pressed my buzzer, it was a very long time of waiting until somebody came, but not all the time. Sometimes it came fast. I think they were just short on help that day. All the staff was nice. They always treated me nice. The meals were very good. I was so surprised, on breakfast, they made it to order. You told them what you wanted, and they cooked it right there. I wanted scrambled eggs one morning, and they fixed them right there. They gave me some therapy there. Maintenance was very good. They kept it really nice.

Rooms were clean and modern. Food looked good, Mom said it tasted good. Staff was nice. The therapy staff helped Mom recover from a fall. It is the nicest nursing facility for seniors I've ever visited. Thank you to all the staff.

The rooms are very nice and private. My Mother has been there for rehab two separate times. The majority of the workers are nice and caring. The time it takes on occasions to get help is longer than I would like, but just like everyone else, they are understaffed. That being said, I would still prefer The Cottages for a safe and clean environment over any other rehab facilities.

The rehab at Cottages of Lake St Louis was good. My mom got quite a bit of rehab services, which was what she needed. Some of the workers did a good job, but there were several of the workers who were not responsive. She felt that they were hiding out of sight to where you couldn't ask for help. I did notice when I was there, some of them were not very helpful. I noticed, too, they weren't very friendly. A couple of them seemed happy, but most of them didn't seem very happy. They didn't smile, that kind of thing. There were a couple of nice nurses. I liked that it's set up like a home, and they only have 10 people per house, which is very nice. They have a centralized kitchen, dining room, and living room, which is nice. I think their biggest problem are their employees, not all of them, because some of them did a good job. The times I was there, the food looked good. I did eat a meal there and it was pretty good. I never saw any activities when I went there. She never mentioned any activity.

My uncle wasn't impressed with the Cottages of Lake St Louis. He said it was noisy. When I was there, the doors didn't shut and that was an issue. Considering how much money it was, he didn't really find support and care when he was there. They were nice to me. They let me come in without any problem. They told me how to get out and unlock the door and things of that sort, but I was there just as a simple visitor. I wasn't the one that was in the facility having to be there all the time. I wasn't impressed with the facility very much at all. It was very stark and very bare. It wasn't homey. It was very sterile. I didn't get anyone to respond to me, except when I got there, someone let me in and someone let me out of the facility. He didn't have another chair, so I was standing throughout the visit. I wouldn't say the communication was the best. When I walked in, I did notice that the staff were interactive with each other, but I didn't see any interaction with any of the clients. I know that my uncle had some OT and PT.

Cottages of Lake St Louis was great. I couldn't ask for anything better for my wife. The staff members were attentive and kind. They're very prompt and qualified. They all appeared to know their job and do it without any complaints. Everything there was great. I absolutely had no complaints whatsoever. My wife was in rehab there. They were very good. I recommend them highly. They offered physical and occupational therapy. The food was good. Everything was good.

My husband is in Cottages of Lake St Louis. They're very caring and very nice. They work with your schedule. When they get up and eat, they work with that. They come around and ask you if you want some breakfast, so that's really nice. They ask you if you're in pain, and they will do everything they can to make you comfortable and keep you safe. With regards to activities, they try to have something special almost every day, just anything to brighten the day. They have a little happy respite, and a lady comes through and offers sweet treats. They had snow cones one day, and we had the St. Louis Redbirds Baseball come and visit. Actually, a player gave my husband a little stress ball like a baseball and that was neat because that was pretty much his first day there. My husband is there for physical and a little bit of occupational therapy because he has Parkinson's, and also because he's recovering. He is working with managing himself like getting strength back into arms and legs so that he can basically shift from one place to another, like from the wheelchair to the couch and back again or to his bed and that kind of thing safely, and to the restroom on his own as independently and as safe for him to do. They want them to try. They don't overhelp. But if they need help, they're there to give them that extra help to keep them safe. The room itself was very nice. It's plenty of room. I know some people brought in furnishings and things, but we're just bare bones. It has a recliner in it, a nice dresser, a little table and a lamp with a USB where you can charge your phone there. It has a very nice bathroom and there's plenty of room for the wheelchair. It also has a very nice shower area. It's just really safe, clean, very functional, and very good. The food is very much like home cooking. They've prepared it. They have a kitchen area and food prep area. It's like a home and sort of like a nice big semi-circle counter with the people behind it where they wash the dishes and they have the kitchen area there, too. On the other side of that is a nice big, long table where everybody comes up in their wheelchairs if they need to. They eat on their own as much as they can, and if they can't, they help them.

We have no problems with Cottages of Lake St Louis. We're happy with the facility and the care. It's very homey. It's not sterile like being in a hotel. My mom has her own room, her own bathroom, and her own recliner chair and TV. It's a large room for one person, so no problem. The place is very clean. My mom has physical therapy and occupational therapy there. I believe they're helping her. My mom doesn't mind the food. A lot of the other people are complaining about the food, but my mom says it's fine. The only activities that we've really seen are music for them to go listen to and bingo. My mom listens to music, but she doesn't participate in bingo. There is an outdoor courtyard that they sit in. They watch the birds; there are birdfeeders outside. That's kind of a favorite, but it's also a way for them all to get warm because it's so cold inside for them.

I was at the cottages for two weeks following hip surgery. The staff is great! Each cottage has 10 patients, so there are 9 other people needing attention too. Be a "patient patient" I assure you the attendants will respond as soon as they can. They care for your safety and your comfort. If I could, I would commend most of them for their hard work and great attitudes! The rooms and bathrooms are designed for needy patients. The dining area is open and you meet other patients and learn their stories. Overall, it was a good experience.

Our experience with Cottages of Lake St Louis has been good. There's a lot of different staff, but it's nice to see the same staff over and over. The facility is clean and nice. It's decorated well and it functions well. My husband hasn't done that many activities. But with regards to food, he cleaned this plate, so I'm sure he likes it. There are a couple of people that work overnight that seem to be a little rough with my husband. Overall, we had a very good experience with most of the staff. There's just been a couple of incidents that we had a problem with, but other than that, I would rate the staff very well. I ate there a couple of times, and I thought the meals were very good. I would recommend this place. It's a very nice place.

My husband was at Cottages of Lake St Louis. It was nice. I liked it. It was good. With regards to the staff, I had two favorites, but they were all OK. The place was OK; however, our room got cold for quite awhile especially at night. My visit with my husband was fine. The therapy wasn't perfect, but I guess it was OK. I didn't see that they had to improve anything, really. They were good. The food was alright, too. I thought it was nice that they offered us food. The staff was mostly nice. The place was clean, too. My husband didn't do any activities there, but they had some singers there from other senior centers. I appreciated him being there.

The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The houses are small yet open allowing residents to not feel like they are lost amongst hundreds of residents. My grandfather enjoyed the food. The nursing staff was very friendly and always greeted us. I never experienced an unpleasant smell like you have in other facilities. I would highly recommend The Cottages.

Rooms and family area are wonderful. The staff is friendly and considerate to residents. Meals were well organized though there should be a consideration for diabetic options. Daily schedules of therapy were designed and carried through to resident’s needs.

I liked Cottages Of Lake St Louis. It was fine. It was just the person who toured me and made me feel like I was wasting their time. She wasn't very nice, and that's all I have about that place. They showed me the rooms. But I felt like she didn't have time. I didn't get the warm and fuzzy feeling. It was clean though. What they need to improve is the person that gives the tour needs to be more emphatic.

My mother-in-law was at Cottages of Lake St Louis for less than two weeks. I thought it was very family-oriented. It was very nice the way they had everything set up. It had its own dining table and everything. It wasn't your traditional hospital style or whatever. The kitchen was like a little normal household kitchen. My mother-in-law really liked the food, and they served quite a bit. For breakfast especially, they fixed what she wanted. My mother-in-law was very impressed that the physician stayed and sat on her bed for a long time talking to her. When I was there, the staff were very concerned and very caring. They came in and checked on her, and she said she never had any problems with any of them. If she needed anything, they were right there. Everything smelled wonderful coming from the kitchen. They made homemade cookies and stuff, and they were huge. As far as the cleanliness, everything was very nice. However, from what my mother-in-law was saying, the whole time she was there, she only had therapy like three times. I thought that she would have rehab at least once a day if not twice a day. So the worst part about it was the rehab, which was the reason she was there. When she did have it, they were very nice and very attentive to her. But because she only had it a couple to three times, I would rate their activities 3, and that's only because of the amount of time, day wise, that they spent with her.

The Cottages of Lake St Louis was a wonderful place. They took very good care of my dad while he was there. They had a very kind and caring staff. They were very attentive to his needs. My dad wasn't eating, so they tried to figure out some things that he could eat and would eat. They came immediately if he called for them to come. They took care of his physical needs, and they were very kind to him, which mattered. I can't say enough good things about their care for the rehab. My father didn't eat their food. He did eat a special shake that they made up for him to try to give him protein. I was also allowed to bring in some microwave meals that my dad asked about, and they prepared the microwave meals for him in order to try to get him to eat, so they were very accommodating. The food they served looked like excellent food. The building itself was beautiful and very clean. It had a friendly atmosphere. My dad's room was kept very clean. I would like to recommend them to other people. Communication was excellent, too.

I like everything about Cottages of Lake St Louis. The staff is nice to my dad, and it's a nice, clean place. My dad hasn't said anything negative about the food. He loves their food. My dad's room is nice. When I go in there, it's pretty clean. In terms of activities, I noticed that he played puzzles. The staff communicate very well. As far as I know, my dad has been comfortable there.

My father is in Cottages of Lake St Louis. As a senior place, they are very attentive, communicate well, and are very friendly. They have individual rooms. For the most part, the food is pretty good, more like home-style. I think they played bingo once in the two weeks Dad was there, but it might have been more than that. They have puzzles sitting out and books to read. They have a community TV, but then they also have TVs in the rooms. They have physical therapy. I think my dad said they worked him hard, so that's good. They have been responsive. The place is very clean. It's very lovely that they can go out into the courtyard and sit if it's nice enough, too.

My wife was at Cottages of Lake St Louis. They were a very caring bunch of people. They responded to every need. It's not like a normal rehab center or place where they just shut you in a room and let you get well by yourself. They're very helpful. It's a new concept where they have a very open family room and kitchen in every building. It's like you're living in a home with nine other people. It's very, very nice. The rooms were adequate and clean. There was a TV, a window and a bathroom in every room. They were very nice. Every cottage was treated as a family. The food left a little to be desired. Some meals were not very tasty at all. My wife was there for 20 days, and she just got home three days ago. I don't think we could have asked for any better care. It was very personal.

My wife was at Cottages of Lake St Louis. The help was most helpful, and the cottages were clean. The only thing I had as far as a negativity was that there were a lot of times, they're a little bit slow in answering my wife's request to take her to the bathroom. The food was very good though. The activities were good, but she couldn't really partake in them because she had a pacemaker put in and couldn't use her left arm very well. The other people that were there enjoyed them very much. My wife had a private room. There was a courtyard there, which she enjoyed very much. With the beautiful weather we're having, she would like to sit outside and enjoy that. The communication was very good also. They had a nice social room with a large TV where they could watch the baseball games or the game shows. That was very nice for the people who were there. The staff was very good. There was one fellow there, his name is Andy, and he was exceptional. If we had to go back there, I would definitely recommend it.

My husband is now at Cottages of Lake St Louis. They have been very good. The people that work there are friendly and try to be helpful or try to get some more therapy. For the most part, they're all very helpful. My husband's room is nice. I think it could be kept a little cleaner because it seems like there's always stuff on the floor. I haven't had a meal there, but my husband thinks the food is very good. I have no complaints at all about the food. For activities, they have music occasionally, and one time they played bingo. I think my husband probably does activities as much as he wants to.

Cottages of Lake St Louis was very welcoming. They took care of my mom very well. They were very kind and considerate to her. It was just a very, very nice place, and I was very surprised because we had never been there before. My mom didn't eat a lot of food there. She was on a pureed diet. It looked very good, but she didn't get to eat very much. My mom was very sick, so she also didn't get to do a lot of activities. They had bingo, games and puzzles. They had a lot, but she just wasn't able to do that. They provided physical and speech therapy for her. Her room was very nice. They're all private rooms there. There's 10 in each cottage, and it was very nice. People made a lot of friends there because it was so homey.

My dad was at Cottages of Lake St Louis for rehab. It was a nice facility. They took care of my dad. There were nurses there. They offered the daily services of feeding, watching over him, checking on him, and getting him up in the morning and stuff like that. They offered basic care that you would want someone to have as if they were at home. Their services were good. I had no problem with the services they provided.

I was very pleased with Cottages of Lake St Louis. Their concept was wonderful. It was homier than any hospital type room. Medicaid paid for it, so I don't know what the cost was, but I was extremely pleased. My husband was there for three weeks. He received physical and occupational therapy. He improved, and we were very pleased. His room was very nicely kept. I would highly recommend it. If I needed that kind of service, I would go there myself.

Cottages of Lake St Louis was terrific for my mother. They satisfied her every need. They were there when she needed them and not when she didn't. The people were knowledgeable, caring and did an outstanding job. My mother was very comfortable there. She was there with a broken ankle. The physical therapy was all very, very good. They explained what they were doing, so she understood what she was doing, and why she was doing it. They helped her through; they kept her going. Communication was outstanding. My mother was in a private room. The only thing I would say though was that the air-conditioning unit was kind of loud, and so it was a little bit harder to communicate inside her room. Other than that, it was fine. It was all clean and newer. It's a very nice place. It's highly recommended.

My husband was at Cottages of Lake St Louis for some 20 plus days. The facility was phenomenal and the people working there were wonderful. We were very happy with them. The doctors and nurses there were very competent and very caring. I don't have anything negative to say about it. The rooms were very nice and clean. The food was excellent. There was physical therapy an hour a day every day. If they had to skip a day, they would come in on the weekends and do therapy to make up for it. My husband was there for rehab. Communication was very good. They had a patio out there for people to go out and sit on. It's beautiful there. It's a very nice place; it's calming. They work really well to try to help you and get things done. Since we left, they have been very accommodating to any needs we have.

My mom is at Cottages of Lake St Louis. They have been very helpful and very kind. She said the food is wonderful. She has a private room. They take very good care of it. They clean it, and they take very good care of her, too. We have seen the therapy room, the dining area, and the living room area. Everything is very nice. They call me at least once a week. They give me updates every day. They're very informative and very friendly. For activities, they do bingo daily, puzzles, and games. Everything is available to her. They provide physical therapy, and the doctor comes by three times a week and checks on her. She is fully taken care of.

My dad was at Cottages of Lake St Louis for rehab, and from what I saw, I thought it was very good. He was only there for a week. The staff members were very caring. They took good care of him. He had a single room. I know they had activities, but he did not participate. They offered strength therapy, just getting him back strong enough to come home. They also offered bathing, showering and helping him do things like that. It was very good. It was covered by the insurance, so I don't know what the cost is. The food was very good. He liked everything that they had, and they prepared special meals if he didn't want what they were serving.

The facilities were very nice at Cottages of Lake St Louis. The people (at least in the cottages we were in) were very good at their jobs and generally very responsive. My mom generally liked the food. I think the staff members were very kind. Whenever I'd come to visit my mom, they would often offer for me to join in the meal, which was good. So those are generally the positive things, but there were a couple of negative things. There was not a whole lot of sound dampening material because it was echoey and loud in there at times, and it seemed like too often the floors were sticky. Those were the only negatives that we remember. In general, it was a good experience. My mom was there for rehab from a fall and a broken arm.

Cottages of Lake St Louis is very clean. The patients are content and happy, and the staff members are relaxed and happy. The environment is quiet. The rooms are private rooms and they're spacious. I'm not familiar with activities. My mother-in-law doesn't like to engage in those, and she just stays in her room. The staff has been very responsive. The building itself is very clean. Communication with them is excellent. They provide updates often. One thing we really like is their low number of residents per building. There are only 10 residents per building, and we love that.

I liked everything about Cottages of Lake St Louis. They were very nice people, and the most important thing was the set-up. I liked how they had these large 10-room buildings with a large kitchen area, a dining area, and a living room area. I thought the staffing was good. Each building had a nice little outdoor area, and each room had their own bathroom, which I looked at other places and that wasn't necessarily the case. I liked that they had the physical therapy room, and that you're not going to have more than 10 people at the most in each of these buildings. I went to visit my dad there almost every other day and he really enjoyed it, and the food was good. He enjoyed the different people that helped him, the doctors and the physical therapy, so I thought it was very nice. Medicare paid for all of these.

I have been very happy with Cottages of Lake St Louis. I took my mom there. She has been there a couple of times, on and off. She is probably going to be going there again. It's clean. They're nice. The people are very friendly. My mom is taken very well care of. I have no complaints with it at all. The young girl that stayed with her was going out of town, and we had no one that could watch her, and so she went in there basically for them just to kind of keep an eye on her. She goes in there for like five days at a time when there's no one here to take care of her. They've told me that that they would take care of anything that she needs like therapy. She definitely cannot get up, go without a walker or a wheelchair or anything like that. She has dementia (not really Alzheimer's, but dementia), so she has to be watched pretty constantly. When I ask her questions, she will say that everybody is really friendly and nice, and she has no complaints about the food. At both times my mom was there, she had a private room. That's what I like about it, it's more personal, and it's a smaller community. I feel like they have plenty of staff there and there's somebody constantly keeping an eye on her because of the situation. With regards to activities, she likes to sit and read or look at magazines and stuff like that. We are welcome to bring books but there are books there that they let her take and read. Sometimes, they say if you're not finished and you want to take it, you're welcome to take it. Everybody seems very friendly. Super nice people. It's clean, it's spacious, and it's easy to get around. For example, she would come out of her room and go sit into the common area or watch them prepare meals or something, and it's very easy for her to get around.

My mom stayed at Cottages of Lake St Louis. Their nursing staff seemed very caring and paid attention to all the details of their care. They made sure my mom was dressed every day and they brushed her hair. She came in with no brush, but they saw to it that she had a brush and did all the care things that sometimes she doesn't get where she is now. It just made me appreciate them more. I like the home feel of it. It's all open with their kitchen and all the rooms near their nursing station. Everybody is very personable and they're there for you. Like if you have a question, they give you their full attention and they make sure you understand everything that's going on. Like with my mom's exit papers, they made sure you understood everything in the paperwork. It was very good. I think they did their best to keep them entertained as much as they can. They played bingo one day. There were little crafts they made. They had an activities person that came in. I think she rotates throughout each house there. They had a dedicated person for that, which was nice. One time, they had wheelchair races with the staff members, so that the residents could watch and kind of get a kick out of that. They had a Fredbird visit one time from the St. Louis Cardinals. They decorated their rooms real cute depending on what season of the year it is. They were very clean, that's for sure. The maintenance was very well done. Their cooking was like home-cooking. They cooked right there out in the open where the kitchen was, and it always smelled good. They tailored the meals to whatever that person's needs were. If somebody needed their food a little softer, they see to it that they pureed their food. For activities, they went to each building and served root beer floats, and I thought that was nice. Anybody else like a family member could have a root beer float, too. They can partake in that with your loved one.

I was at Cottages of Lake St Louis. I just loved it. I took therapy every day while I was there. The meals were great. They'd make you breakfast or whatever you wanted. Lunch and dinner were served to you more or less as a group. The meals were always good and nutritious, and the people working there were really nice. They were very proficient. I really enjoyed it. It felt like a vacation to me. I had a nice room. It wasn't really big, but it was nice. I had a bed and a nice chair. There was a TV and a closet you could use. There's a bathroom. The help that came in to help you with everything were very kind. They answered quickly. It was very nice. The people that I knew there were all great. I know a couple younger ones who just got out of school, and they were well trained. They were very good. My insurance took care of it at the time I was there.

My wife was at Cottages of Lake St Louis for two weeks. Our experience was fine. They were really good. Nice people. Very clean. She was there for the therapy mainly, and the therapy was good. They did a good job, and then we took her home and brought in a Medicare therapist. When we were there, it was great. It's really a nice place if you have to be in a skilled nursing or a nursing home of any kind. It's not a huge facility. It's 10 people to a building. Half of them are residents and the other half are rehab patients. The personnel were really good. For the permanent residents, there's always stuff going on. They're fairly interactive, and it is really important to know that people are personable and not too business-like. I was there most of the time, and they really did a good job. They got everything there. I didn't have one complaint. When I went in there, they greeted me and everything else. They're really nice. They're just really good people, and they're doing absolutely the best they can. Food was always good. They do it right there. Each building has its own kitchen and there are six buildings and six kitchens. If you need something a little different, they'll make it for you. Parking can be a little tough sometimes. You always find a space, but not necessarily close to your building, and that's about it. The visiting days are a little heavier. They take Medicare and everything is paid for.

My dad was at Cottages of Lake St Louis for three weeks. It was great. They always made sure I was informed and that I was always up to date with what they were doing with my dad and I appreciated that. When I sent him home, they even gave him a wheelchair, and I appreciated that. The room was good for my dad. He is a big guy, but he doesn't need a lot of room. It was always clean, and it was a good place for him to be. I was there usually once a week, and they always had games and stuff for them to do besides therapy. It was cool. I saw a bunch of people in the facility playing with each other. My dad didn't have any complaints about the food, so it was pretty good. The staff members were very friendly.

At Cottages of Lake St Louis, they are very attentive with the call lights. The administrative staff are very professional. They do a good job of giving my mom her medicine on time. The rooms are very nice and very spacious. I like the dining room, too. It's too expensive though, and there are no activities.

My husband was in the rehab area of Cottages of Lake St Louis. He was there for two-and-a-half weeks. He had very good care and very good rehab. His room was clean and well taken care of. The amenities were clean also. They provided him therapy every day. It definitely was a big help. Food was good. They had activities like bingo. He was very satisfied there. They helped him with the bath, and they washed his clothes. I didn't have any problem with it. I thought they did a very nice job. I was very satisfied with it.

The care was very good at Cottages of Lake St Louis. At times, they had limited staff. My mother said the food was great. She enjoyed the food there. She was there for physical therapy. They did a great job as she is back almost walking unassisted. She fell and broke her hip, so that's how she ended up there in rehab. Some of the staff were very exceptional. They did a great job keeping my mother's room clean. They showered her and things like that. It was a very nice room. With regards to food, my mother said the portions were always nice sized and she never had anything that she really didn't like, and she was surprised that she could get cookies when she wanted them.

My aunt was at Cottages of Lake St Louis for rehab. The facility itself was very nice and very clean. We enjoyed the staff. The things that we didn't like were the meals and the lack of activities. My aunt's room was always clean. It's a nice-sized room. The bathroom was wonderful. The shower was great. They kept her laundry done. All of that was good. The communication was great. They contacted me once a week to go over my aunt's progress. We didn't have any complaints except for the food and the activities.

My mother stayed at Cottages of Lake St Louis. My experience with them was very good. My problem is I was out of town, I wasn't there in person, so everything had to be done over the phone. They were very receptive, and they answered calls and took the phone down to her. I talked to nurses more than doctors, and I called to find out how she was doing. Generally speaking, they tell me how good she was doing, how bad of a day she had and how good of a day she had. They didn't mind that I call every day. I had no problems at all. My mom was very happy with the place. In fact, she was sad to leave. She pretty much will eat anything, and she said the food there was very good. I never heard my mom complaint once about the meal. There were activities like bingo, so they tried to keep them fairly active. I had no problems with these people at all. I would go back there in a minute. The staff seemed very courteous and very understanding.

My aunt was at Cottages of Lake St Louis. The physical part of the community was very nice. The cottage where she was in was very nice. There was good care and good staff. However, the therapy she had was the only time she was up on a walker. That was frustrating because she got to go back into assisted living. I tried to file an appeal with Medicare and they denied it. During therapy, my aunt could walk great distances, but she really only got five to six hours of therapy over that week, and then any other time, they still allowed her to be in the wheelchair, so that was frustrating. She is doing OK, but she missed out on that time when she had more hands-on deck before she went back. I don't believe that my aunt was doing activities, but I think the meals were OK. Every time I was there, they were very kind and offered to get her something else if she didn't like it, and by the time she left, she was eating really well. Every interaction I had was good. They seemed to care then. They were just very slow when you push that call button. It took them like 30 minutes to come. Every now and then, it would be quicker, and then if you needed the nurse for something, then that was definitely 30 minutes. When my aunt got there, they asked me if she wanted her hair done, so that was nice. She was happy to get her hair done.

My mom was at Cottages of Lake St Louis. It was a very positive experience. We felt like she received good care. The staff members were attentive. They listened to her. They met her needs. The facility was clean and updated. She liked the food. It was homecooked and they gave them a couple of different options. The therapists were qualified, attentive, and met her needs. There were a couple of staff members that maybe were not as personable or as attentive, but the ones that dealt with my mom were very attentive. The value for money was probably average. That type of care is expensive. My mom is fortunate in that for the days that she was able to stay, she had insurance to cover it, but if it were out of pocket, she wouldn't have been able to go there.

My mother was at Cottages of Lake St Louis. Everyone was very professional and very friendly. They took excellent care of my mom. She was there for over a week. They communicated very well. They kept us totally informed of everything that was going on as far as medication, how she was doing, who had been to see her, and what treatments they were giving her. The facility was very light, bright, and airy. It's very clean all the time. I like to watch them cook everything from scratch, and some of the people that live there would participate with them. They are a small group, but very well connected with the people that are staying there. Majority of their people were in wheelchairs, so they just brought them to the dining room table, which was a big long table, and they played with them and they had a little Easter party with them. If you're looking for the best care, that's where you want to go.

My mom is at Cottages of Lake St Louis. It's small. Each cottage has like 10 people or less, which is kind of a small and more intimate group, so my mom recognizes the people every day. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner offered at a community table. I have tried the food. It's pretty good. They make it at their own site. The staff members seem friendly and open to feedback or concerns that I have. I know I can always call there and get an update, but I usually try to visit every day and look for somebody to talk to. My mom is doing okay with therapy. She is moving forward every day just slowly. The common spaces are pretty, and the outdoor courtyards are nice. The rooms are private rooms, which is fine. The beds seem uncomfortable though. My mom has pushed the call button, but she hasn't had a prompt response several times. I don't know if that's because they're busy somewhere with somebody else.

I was at Cottages of Lake St Louis for two weeks. It was an awesome place. Everybody seemed to work together, and they were all interested in the best care for every individual, and I feel like they did their best for everybody. I love the way the meals were set up so that we could all eat together. The meals were delicious, well balanced, and well cooked. I don't have anything negative to say. The therapy went well. They were kind and yet they pushed us. I don't know how to get that particular thing to work together, but they did. They pushed us and yet they let us rest if we needed to. Aside from therapy, they had activities, but I was knitting most of the time. I was also reading books and stuff. I could knit and watch bingo and that was fun, too. The rooms were very well set up. The bathroom was easily accessible. Showers worked well. When you're doing wheelchairs and walkers, sometimes you run out of space, but there was enough space to get around the bed and get around the recliner, which was a nice chair to rest in if we needed to. The beds were much better than the hospital beds, not as good as at home, but I think everything was very accessible and safe. I was very happy with the community. I didn't see anything that needed repair. It was well managed.

My father has been at the Cottages of Lake St Louis for three weeks now. It's a caring community. They're attentive to him and his needs. The food is amazing. The place is immaculately clean. The environment and the ambiance of it is inviting and home-like. The care is spectacular. As for my father's therapy session, he is thriving and doing better. They are working with him. When I first walked in, there was laughter, there was joy, and there was interaction among the employees and those in the environment. They've always been courteous and pleasing. They were playing bingo, and then one other time, I saw one of the therapists working with a resident. I think they were coloring or painting or doing something like that. But because it is such an intimate community of only 10 or so, everybody has got their own thing. It's kind of like a family and people are kind of doing what they need to do. Those who don't have anything to do, they have the living environment in the center of it to watch TV or talk or whatever. It's very home-like.

My mother was at Cottages of Lake St Louis for 10 days. What I really liked about them was the ratio to people that are helping. There were more aides there to help. My mother said the food was very good and very tasty. The rehab was very good. They really worked her hard, and she is doing very well at home now. I liked the private rooms. It was a really good experience for her. The staff was very kind, upbeat, very pleasant to talk to, and very helpful. There is a beautiful common area with the fireplace, couches, and chairs. It was a big open room. It had the kitchen there also with a big, long table for everyone to eat at if they wished. They could also eat in their room if they wanted to. The kitchen area was right there, so you could see them preparing the food and everything. My mother's room was a private room. It was very cozy, and it had her own bathroom and her own shower. My mother is very picky, but she liked the food. They seemed to have a very good variety, and they would also bring her snacks or whatever when she wanted. The community was very clean. I have no complaints.

My aunt has been in Cottages of Lake St Louis for 10 days now. I like the individual service of each cottage. I like that you see the same staff members in the same cottage. I like that they encourage their residents to get out of their rooms and kind of push them to socialize and just be out of their rooms themselves. There's therapy obviously, and in the community setting, they watch TV, and they socialize together and then eat together. Of course, they can also go individually to their rooms, but they're encouraged to be out and amongst other residents. My aunt really likes the staff. She feels like she does not have to be self-conscious or embarrassed. They make it easy for her to communicate her needs, and they listen to her needs. Because she's been up there for years, it's very important for them to maintain their independence and also feel like they're not a burden and that they're being cared for in a very professional safe manner. The food looks very appetizing, and it smells really good, too. I haven't heard any complaints from my aunt. There was some communication that I would have preferred to have been made in a more timely manner. My aunt is lucid and very much responsible for her own self, but I'm also her caregiver and decision maker, too, and it just took a while for them to get with me. Nevertheless, I was pleasantly surprised at the overall care and how everything is done there. I was pleasantly surprised that the staff was as amiable as they have been, and that the facilities were modern and didn't really appear to be needing any kind of updating at all. So overall, our experience has been wonderful with the community.

My husband has been in Cottages of Lake St Louis for a week now. He is there for skilled nursing. The caregivers are very kind and attentive to his needs. It is not your traditional or institutional setting. It's brighter, airier, and more like a home environment. My husband likes the food. He is doing his best to eat everything provided for him. For activities, they have a recreational director, and she comes in and she will play bingo and games with the residents.

My dad is at Cottages of Lake St Louis for 20 days now. The level of care, and the nursing and doctor staff are very good. I like the way it is set up. I like that it's an open floor plan. The common areas are more of an open floor plan like you would have in a regular house. It appears to be more like a home environment than it does a nursing home. The doctor and two nurses are very caring. They take good care of Dad. My dad felt the food was average. Some things are good, and some are not. Breakfast is very good though. For activities, he had physical therapy and occupational therapy. There were situations where they did not have necessary incontinence supplies available, so that could be improved. But I thought the staff does a really good job.

My mom has been staying in Cottages of Lake St Louis for three weeks now. It is a nice safe place to get a rehab. They cook meals right there for them. It is a small cottage, and someone has to let you in and out, so that made it secure. It was just very inviting. When you walk in their common space, there was a table where they ate their meals. There were chairs and things for them to sit around and watch television or have conversations. The staff is friendly and helpful. I have not tasted the food, but my mom didn't seem to think it was that bad. It was pretty good, actually. The insurance paid for it. It's expensive if you have to pay out of pocket.

My mom has been staying in Cottages of Lake St Louis for three weeks now. The first week or so, she just wasn't feeling good, but it wasn't their fault. I think it's the stress of her surgery, so they kind of held back a little bit. Once she got up, they did quite a bit more rehab with her, and they were just sweet as they could be. They're very nice people there. The facility itself is clean, and it's nice because they have their own suites and their own bathrooms. The kitchen is right there. She never complained about the food, and she said she likes it. It always smelled good. For activities, they had bingo and stuff, but I was usually there right before she had lunch, so I don't know what else went on. They took good care of my mom. I never worried about her when I wasn't there, so that made me feel better. They called me and gave me updates and stuff, and they were very good with that. They're very informative on things for me.

My mom was at Cottages of Lake St Louis for 10 days. The facility was very clean and well-kept. It was not what I would consider a typical nursing home. It didn't have a nursing home smell to it. It's a very homey atmosphere. The personnel were very caring and outgoing. Even though my mother was on hospice care and not really alert, they still treated her with dignity, respect, care, gentleness, kindness, and inclusion. She really was not coherent, but they still included her in things that were going on as best they could. Overall, they're very caring, wonderful people. For amenities, there's a patio, and there's a living room with a television. They had a very nice dining area that felt like a family's home dining room. It was very nice the way that the residents would gather together as a family for dinner. It felt more like a family than people that shared a nursing home. They were a little pricier than other nursing homes, but for what you've got, it was well worth it. This place was wonderful.

My mom was at Cottages of Lake St Louis. According to my mom, she really likes the people particularly the physical therapy staff and the nursing staff. That would have been her favorite part. It's kind of an interesting setup. The rooms are a standard kind of room, single occupancy with its own bathroom, and they're a reasonable size. Then they have a very large common room that has a kitchen attached, which I thought made it very different than most. They had activities scheduled. My mom never took part in any of the activities, but they had them. They usually had three different activities per day. This is probably the third time in the last three years that my mom has done rehab, and every time, she specifically requested to go back to Cottages of Lake St. Louis, so I think that says a great deal about it all unto itself. She likes it.

My husband is at Cottages of Lake St Louis. I like the people that work there. They're very kind. They give my husband the attention that he needs when he's doing therapy. They are really great there. He has a private room and a bathroom. Both the common areas and the individual patient areas are always kept clean. They play bingo, and that's about it. My husband has dementia, so it's hard for him to participate in any activities. I have tried their food, and the meals are excellent. They have a different variety every day. The staff is excellent, too.

My mom is at Cottages of Lake St Louis. She is on her 10th day. The staff is super friendly and very attentive to my mom. When you walk in, it's beautiful. You feel like you're walking into somebody's home. It's very welcoming and it's very clean. It does not have that facility smell. It's very fresh smelling. When I went into her room, it has always been very clean, and her linens have always been very clean. She always has fresh clothes on, so I knew that she has been showered and well taken care of. It's cold now, but they have a patio area outside. Their grounds are very well-kept and very nice. I've been there when they've served her food, and it looks very fresh and looks delicious, and it's good. As for my mom's therapy, she is being discharged this Friday, so it has gone well. My mom is not the easiest patient, but they have been very kind to her. Valerie, who is our social worker, has been truly a blessing through this whole experience.

My mom was at Cottages of Lake St Louis. The place was nice. We liked the folks. They treated her well. The staff members were very good to her. The therapy was decent. She didn't come out of it as well as we had hoped. She was there for 18 days. The common area was nice. The layout was nice, and it was clean. With regards to food, she ate most of it, but there were a few things she didn't care for. I think they spiced it up, so it's not so bland. Communication wasn't always great, but I've seen worst. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either.

My mom was at Cottages of Lake St Louis. She got somebody there quickly. I thought it was very nice for us. The staff members were very nice to her. They're very friendly to us, and they're very knowledgeable. They took good care of her. My mom had a very nice, clean room, and the place was very clean. She was in quarantine for a couple days, then she did the physical therapy and then they released her. It was close to our house. The staff gave my mom whatever she wanted to eat and things like that. The outside looked nice, and the inside looked nice.

My mom is at Cottages of Lake St Louis for rehab. She's very happy there. She said everyone is really friendly, and everything is really clean. The only negative thing I would say is they don't get enough therapy. She has been there for over two weeks now. She really likes them all and they're really nice. She is just not getting enough therapy, and that's a problem. Nevertheless, everything looks very nice, it's very nicely laid out, and it's super clean. My mom said the food is fine, too. The outdoor spaces look really nice.

My wife is staying at Cottages of Lake St Louis. I think the caregivers working there are well trained because they really care and every one of them is professional. My wife's room is comfortable. She feels safe there, she sleeps well there, and she likes her bed. With regards to their meals, she cleans her plate. The food was very good. The therapists genuinely want them to get stronger so they can go home. I would rate them as highly as possible. It's all very good. It's the best I've seen.

My mom is staying at Cottages of Lake St Louis for rehabilitation. I really like them. I think they've been very helpful and very friendly. The care that my mom is getting has been appropriate and timely. She's been happy with it. I like the way the facility is set up. I feel it's conducive like you're not stuck in a hospital setting. If I had to go somewhere, I hope that I could go somewhere like that. My mom's room is big. It was like a studio apartment with no kitchen. It's a large room with a nice-sized bathroom. It's very modern and new. The common area is very nice. They have lots of chairs, it's very inviting, and it doesn't feel like a hospital or an old folk's home. No complaints from her about the food; she enjoys that. They cook right there within each cottage, so I thought that was kind of cool. Also, everything is well kept. This is all through Medicare. I think it's a really good one-on-one facility without the hospital feel.

My mother has been in Cottages of Lake St Louis for a week now. It's clean and it seems like a safe environment. She has a nice private room. It's very clean, and she has her own private shower, which is nice. The common spaces are big, nice, and open with a lot of sunlight. It's all one big room and the staff is usually there along with the patients, so that's nice. The staff does a pretty good job. My mother feels they are not attentive enough, but they are taking good care of her so far. I think they have someone come in and play music there. My mother doesn't care for the food, but it looks okay to me. The staff is friendly, but I feel like some of nurse's aides spend a lot of time socializing instead of being attentive to the patients. The nurses are attentive, and I don't have any complaints about the doctor. The overall condition of the facility looks great.

I like the attentiveness of the nurses at Cottages of Lake St Louis as well as being available to speak with me as I don't live near my mother. I actually live in a different state, so it's just a comfort to know when I can speak to one of them, and they're able to clearly let me know how my mother is doing and connect me to speak with her when possible because she's not able to use her cell phone so much anymore. They're very attentive. Then they also have a caseworker who will call weekly to give us an update on how she's doing and her progress, and she is also able to connect us with someone who could help us with the next step for my mother after she's done with her rehab there. My mother has been there for a couple of weeks now, but she was also there last year and spent about six weeks there. The therapists were very helpful. They were very good at encouraging her to try a little bit harder and to work to the point where she was able to continue to live independently. My mother says the food is okay. She hasn't been complaining about it.

My father is at Cottages of Lake St Louis. He has been there for two weeks now. It's super clean and super nice, and they're very attentive. His room is very nice, upscale, clean, efficient, and effective for what he's there for. The staff members are pleasant, attentive, and responsive. They're very good. I only had one of the meals, and it was good. I wouldn't call it restaurant quality, but it is certainly above what you would normally expect at a rehab facility. As for activities, they actually gave him a puzzle, but in his particular case, he has advanced Alzheimer's and therefore most of that stuff really doesn't work out well for him anyway. The condition of the place is fantastic. In our case, we're very fortunate that insurance picked everything up. It is not an inexpensive place, but it's probably the best I've ever seen. I would absolutely highly recommend this place. One of the things that I especially liked is that it was quiet, and for some residents that is a huge plus. The staff was respectful, fast to respond, and did everything you would expect them to do, and the facility is fantastic.

My dad is at Cottages of Lake St Louis. He has been there for over a week now. It feels like a family home. I like the proximity of nursing care, the family style meals, and the outdoor spaces. He is there for short-term rehab. I haven't tried their food, but he says it's good. The common spaces are all very clean. There seems to be a lot of enrichment activities going on and people are definitely out and about as opposed to being stuck in their rooms. There's physical therapy right there, there are always some people working out, and there's access to hand weights at any time. There are puzzles, books, and magazines in the living room type set up to socialize. The nursing staff has been great. The people who let you in and out are good. They've all been great.

My wife is in Cottages of Lake St Louis. It's quite a bit like a home to me. It seems to run very smoothly and definitely inviting. I like the way it's laid out with the rooms kind of form a horseshoe. There's a general family area, which also includes the dining tables and the kitchen, and just off the side is the therapy room. To me, it's comfortable. Everybody that I've encountered over there is really nice. The food is pretty good. In terms of activities, they have jigsaw puzzles that are laying out on the table. They keep the place quite clean. To me, it's a bit of a homey atmosphere. People are free to move around there. Most of them are in wheelchairs, and they seem to gather around and talk to each other. They get to know each other really quick. They watch TV and they're working on those puzzles.

My wife has been in Cottages of Lake St Louis for three weeks now. It is an attractive facility. It's newish and it's pretty clean. Most of the staff are pretty friendly. The food is good. The therapy is going well. She has been building puzzles to pass the time. The room looks like a regular hotel room except the bed is a hospital bed. There's a nightstand with a lamp, a hospital bed, a recliner chair, and a dresser. At the doorway, there's a little cupboard that is like a nurse's station when she comes in to administer medications. There's a big bathroom, too. Sometimes, there's a delay in their response to the call bell, but the overall condition of the facility is very nice. I think there really aren't any activities. My wife does PT and sometimes she goes and does puzzles. It's a bright, sunny building with lots of windows. There's a patio that connects one cottage to the next cottage, which makes it kind of nice and look less institutional. I think that's a positive thing. The living room has a fireplace, too.

My husband is in Cottages of Lake St Louis. We think it is absolutely fantastic. We are really, really happy that we are there. It's very clean. The people are very neat, very helpful, and very nice. It's a very comfortable atmosphere. It feels very safe there. They do a really great job, so we're really, really happy with it. I live close by, and that was one of the big reasons why we looked at that. I was so glad to find it because we only live like a mile away and that's easy for me to drive there and be with him. He has been there for two weeks now. My husband is very, very happy with the therapist. He broke his leg and he had surgery on it. Before, when he was at home, we had to drive to a therapy place and that was a little more difficult. So definitely, this has been really nice as the therapy is right there, and he's really close by, and it's not far for me to travel. It's a very homey feeling. It's not like a hospital feel, although they have everything possible that the patients need. We're very happy with all of that. They've really done a very nice job of making it comfortable. The nurses and the aides are very nice and very helpful. We can't say enough nice things about them. The food is very good, too. It's not top, but it's very comfortable.

My husband is at Cottages of Lake St Louis. I like it. I like the way the rooms are all situated, and I like the lunch area there. Basically, his room is nice and large. It's very quiet and private, and I like that. He has been there for about a week now, and he was also there last year. It's convenient for us, it's nearby so I like that, too. They take good care of them there. If there's a problem, they always update me on what's going on, and I like that. If he needs anything extra, they'll take care of that. So I feel comfortable with him being there. My husband says he likes the food there, and if he wants extra ice cream or something, they'll bring it to him, and I like that. The rooms are nice and clean, too. There's plenty of towels and things like that if he needs them. He could always go out to the cafeteria. Everybody sits and eats together if he wants to do that. He is kind of like a private person, but every now and then, he'll go out there. I think they have puzzles. He is in rehab now, and he is still pretty weak because he had to go in there from the hospital, so he is not able to do a lot, but they're in the midst of getting him going. He is walking now, and he is able to go to the bathroom by himself and get up and walk a little. It's a slow process because he was very sick. The staff all seem really cheerful when I talk to them. They seem to really know what's going on. The head nurse calls me and lets me know how my husband is doing. They are keeping an eye on him, and they're taking really good care of him. They are all very pleasant people and always have nice things to say. If I ask anything, I get my answers. I'm very comfortable with him being there.

My mother was at Cottages of Lake St Louis. They took care of my mom. She's home now. For the most part, all the help that they had out there was very kind to her. Whenever I called them, they communicated very well with me. She said, for the most part, the food was good. She had to get her diet changed a little bit because they had her on a more of a liquid diet to begin with. She said that the food was good. Breakfast was better than the rest of the meals, but that's because it was bacon and eggs. She said upkeep was very nice. She was there for 14 days.

My mom has been in Cottages of Lake St Louis multiple times. The last time was last week, and she was there for four days. I like best that they have individualized care and their staff seemed concerned about my mom's well-being. I don't have anything that I would say bad about them. My mom enjoyed their company and enjoyed talking to them. It was very clean, and I never noticed any smells. Each unit has a kitchen, and the kitchen was always clean. Each cottage has its own common room with the fireplace and games, and it looks out over a courtyard. It was very nice. My mom was there for therapy. However, sometimes the food had a lot of spices on them, which was okay. She could have asked for something different, but she just didn't. It's more expensive than some of the other ones, and for the most part, it's worth it.

My wife is at Cottages of Lake St Louis. They're good. She has only been here a few days now, but so far, so good. She really hasn't had any therapy sessions yet. The room is nice. The facility seems to be maintained pretty well. Most of the staff members are good. They communicate, and they seem to be friendly and upbeat. They have amenities. Also, the admission process was very easy.

My mom is at Cottages of Lake St Louis. She has been there for nine days now. The staff is very friendly and nice. It's very clean. I've got a couple of concerns about medications. There had been a pill found on her bed and one on the floor. I think they've given her the wrong medication at one time. They charted it wrong, so I had some issues there. The PT person can be a little abrasive, but otherwise, the rest of the staff are very nice. I love the doctor. The nurses I've dealt with are very good when you're talking to them. The place is more of a family kind of thing. They have cottages on the property. In my mother's place, there are only 10 rooms and they have a group dining room. It's smaller and it's more of a family kind of feel when people come out for meals. They're all sitting around one table, so that's really nice. Each room has its own bath and wheel-in shower, so it's very convenient and very easy. The setup is very nice. It's very comfortable and very homey and not institutional at all. My mom likes the food except that it's way too much. 'They bring me way too much food,' that's what she always says. I wish they would bring her less. I think she wouldn't be quite so overwhelmed by the food if there wasn't so much on the plate, but she likes the food. It's good.

My mom was at Cottages of Lake St Louis. She was discharged on Saturday, and I think she really enjoyed her stay there. It was so much better than where she had been. My entire family all liked it, including my mom. We appreciated the entire staff. The entire facility was very, very nice. She enjoyed the entire place. I can't say enough nice things about it. It was all very nice. The staff members were very energetic. She loved that about the staff. My mother is energetic herself and she loves outgoing people. She said they would start calling her name coming down the hallway and saying, 'It's time to get up and it's time to get a shower. It's time to take your medicine. It's time to eat your breakfast,' and that's the type of person my mom is. She said she was just moving out as they were coming down the hallway. She enjoyed that. Other people might not have enjoyed it, but she did. That's how she used to wake us up, like yelling from the front of the house to the back of the house. And I said, 'Oh, that sounds like you, so much like you.' She enjoyed the staff and just the way they were outgoing and upbeat. She enjoyed talking to them, and they enjoyed her, too. There was also a gentleman who sang to the clients a lot. She enjoyed that, too. She said his voice was beautiful. She liked that a lot. She enjoyed the atmosphere and the different personalities that the people had. They work very well together. My mother loved the openness of it. The living room area and the kitchen area were nice, big, and open. That's one of the main things that she enjoyed about it. People could move around. I saw the rooms off to the side. It was very nice. I think that it would be really nice if more places were made to be like that.

Our experience with The Cottages of Lake St. Louis is very good. My mom is staying there for rehab. It's a very nice facility. Therapy seems to be going well. The staff has been very kind and caring. I don't get to spend too much time with the therapy people based on the time that I visit. But the staff members I have met have been very nice, seem to be very knowledgeable and seem to be working with my mom to get her back to where she was. All in all, the facility itself has been very good. My mom's room is spacious, and they're doing a good job. The common areas are very nice. It's very homey. It's all decorated up for Christmas. It has been very, very pleasant. I feel like my mom is getting good care.

My sister-in-law is staying in Cottages of Lake St Louis. She has been there for two-and-a-half weeks now. I haven't really found anything that I don't like so far with the community. It's been a good experience. I think she is receiving the care that she needs. She is there for rehab. She has not engaged in activities and that's by her choice, though. With her therapy, she said that she's progressing slowly. She felt like the staff has been adequate. They are very attentive. When she rings, they come and take care of her needs. She said the food was nice. As for the facility itself, to me, everything seems to be well kept, nice, and clean. It has a fresh smell, and there are no bad odors or anything like that. I feel like it's a very nice facility.

My mom is staying at Cottages of Lake St Louis for rehab. She has been there for three weeks now. They seem to be caring. She seems happy there. The staff members are helpful and gentle. The appearance and upkeep are all nice and good. My mom's room is roomy, and it has everything she needs. I haven't tasted their food, but my mom doesn't care for it too much. She doesn't get a bath often enough, she hasn't been able to get her hair done, and the food could definitely improve.

My dad is staying in Cottages of Lake St Louis for rehab. I like that I can be there in 5 minutes, so that was my number one pick. It's absolutely gorgeous. When I walked in, I looked around and I said, 'Can I move in?' I have a Golden Retriever, and my dad is very fond of him, and they allow me to bring him in. It has gotten so good that all the other residents know him by name, and they want to see him, so it's not just benefiting my dad. It's very interesting to watch. They just light up. There's no other way to say it. Of course, I'm watchful, and if there's someone who's not a dog person, I can usually tell. It's kind of cool. Yesterday, the physical therapist who was working with Dad saw me come in and she waved at me. She took the time to talk to me. I asked her how my father was doing, and she gave me a nice report, so I like that, too. I haven't tried the food, but my dad hasn't really complained, and he would be one to tell me if he doesn't like it. The facility is spotless. I haven't seen any signs of anything. It's very clean. I think it checks all the boxes there. There is a library, but I don't know if there's anything else. The staff members are all very sweet, caring, and visible. Medicare is paying, so I don't know what the cost is.

My husband was at Cottages of Lake St Louis. It was fine. He got a lot of physical therapy and he has improved greatly. The staff were all very helpful and very attentive to him. His experience is good there. He loved the breakfast, but he complained that sometimes the lunch or the dinner was cold or was not as warm as he would have liked it. Sometimes the food was a little bit different, otherwise, he did fine. There were no activities other than maybe a singer would come in once in a while. They always listed something like trivia, Wheel of Fortune trivia, or something like that, but he never did see anybody there or participated in anything like that. I think one drawback for something like this place is, because each unit only has 8 or 10 people there, it's kind of hard to get a group together to do something. They didn't come and say such and such is going to be going on, so he wasn't aware or didn't pay attention to the schedule to check on it. However, he had no problem with anything, and he enjoyed his stay, other than the food not being warm sometimes.

My dad is now at Cottages of Lake St Louis for rehab. The overall experience has been very positive. The layout of the facility is much more home like than hospital like. The staff are very friendly and helpful and genuinely seem to care. I have not tried their meals. My dad has been complaining about the food quite a lot; however, he is on a special diet, so I don't think it's their fault. I think it's because he's on mechanical minced food. Ella, the primary therapist that we've been working with, has been fantastic. She pushes when she knows she needs to, and she's got a lot of great tools. She's excellent. The activities range from building muscle to dexterity to all the positive things that we need to have come out as a result. They have activities in the house. There's a Cardinal baseball night and they all gathered to that. I think that's the only one that my dad has done, but they have activities scheduled three times a day. As for value for money, the insurance is paying for it right now.

My father has been in Cottages of Lake St Louis for 13 days now. They're good. So far, they have been attending to all his needs. He's been doing physical therapy and occupational therapy. They're taking care of him very well. The condition of the facility is beautiful. Upkeep is perfect.

My mother was at Cottages of Lake St Louis for about a week. It was excellent. The people were helpful. They contacted me to keep me in touch with the things that were going on and how things were. All seemed to be very good. The room was excellent. It was appointed well, and it was modern. I had a good overall feeling from the facility. I know they have green space area between the different cottages. It was nice to have access to the outside facilities, but they were not able to use of any of that. They could improve on probably returning phone calls. After I had first entered my mom in, I didn't get the nurse to return my call in a timely fashion. As for value for money, they were a little higher than most everybody else in the area, but it's an excellent facility, and the staff was helpful and caring.

My wife has been in Cottages of Lake St Louis a little over two weeks now. It's pretty good. A lot of really good people work there. They really take their job seriously. They are really friendly. They joke around with us. It's a pretty good experience. It's a nice place. It's really clean and laid out really nice. It's a lot better than where we were. They keep it clean and if I need something, they'll get it as soon as they can. If I need to change her underwear or anything, or something like that, they're on the ball. They got a garden outside where you can go and sit. They have a hot tub or a spa that you can use. They've got a little room with weights and little machines you can use. Also the food is pretty good. My wife is pretty picky, but they put out a pretty good spread. They're not high-class restaurant quality, but they're very tasty. It's really expensive, but it's required for her to get better, so you got to bite the bullet to pay it. It's more expensive than the last place where we're at, but it's much nicer than the last place.

My mother is at Cottages of Lake St Louis for rehab. They seem to do a very good job taking care of her. She seems to be well taken care of whenever we see her. The staff is very helpful in keeping you updated on their conditions and what they've observed. My mother seems to think the food is OK. Her room is a pretty standard fare over there for what they're going to have. Her room seems to be pretty good. Maintenance is fine. We chose them because we had prior experience with them. My dad was there before.

My mom is at Cottages of Lake St Louis. The layout is convenient, and everything is very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My mom is pretty particular with the food, and there's not a lot of variety for each meal. There are no other activities other than the rehab that she's involved in. The sessions have been helpful for her to return home. I would recommend Cottages of Lake St Louis. I chose them because of the private room, and my mom does not have to share a room with someone else. There is a nice outdoor seating area and a nice living room area as well.

My ex-husband is at Cottages of Lake St Louis for rehab. He was in there once, and now he's back in again for rehab. This is the second time, but he is not a full-time resident. I think it's great because it's homey type like a little cottage as it says it is. The rooms are all separate in there, and they have a lounge right in the middle there and a nursing station. They have like a little kitchen where they cook their meals right there for the cottage. He loved the food. He thought it was great. It's not like a hospital; it's like a homey type of atmosphere. The staff were great. He was really happy there and satisfied with everybody. Because he had gotten out of the hospital and he was there for rehab, so there were no activities. It was all inside the cottage. They have like an exercise room where they do the rehab. There's a little room there where they go in and do all the equipment and everything. Everybody I met and talked to was all great. He was being covered by insurance. Everything always looks great to me. I was pleased with it. I would recommend it.

Kind staff who actually got to know my loved one and even remembered my name. The cottage was new, clean, and not like anything I had seen before. We appreciated the private room with its own bathroom. Food always smelled good and my loved one actually put on weight.

My mother was sent there for rehab after having Covid. It was my 1st experience with a place like that. The accommodations were very nice. The way it works is different than other skilled nursing facilities. The food was good. The staff was short handed and were working extended hours to cover. Which caused alot of frustration for them. I was here alot and felt like an employee. The evenings were especially bad when Mom had to go to the bathroom because it took 2 people. The staff was friendly. Nurses were attentive and caring. The PT and OT staff were very inadequate in their ability and care.

My mother is at The Cottages of Lake St. Louis doing some rehab. She is in quarantine right now and I have not been able to physically visit yet. Communication is wonderful. They are all individual cottages with no more than 10 rooms in each cottage. Everybody gets their own room and bathroom. There's a central living room and kitchen area where all of their meals are prepared in front of them and served at a real dining table. They communicate well, they call me often, and they seem very caring about my mother. She gets very good food. They're keeping people separated, so there's not a lot of activities going on right at the moment where she is. It's almost a new facility, very well kept, nicely landscaped, and easy to navigate.
