My mother-in-law is at Aspire of Jonesburg. We chose them mainly because it's the only place that has an opening that can do her care. She needs 100% max care. They're rolling her over, they're taking her to the bathroom, they're doing everything. The staff there are good, nice, and patient. They always answer questions when I have any. The facility is an older building. It doesn't look pretty by any means, but the care has been really good. My mother-in-law says the food is gross, but she doesn't like anybody's food. There is a calendar of activities on my mother-in-law's door of all the different activities, and there's something every night. Her room looks like a college room. You walk in and you have a bed, a TV, and dressers. It's got its own bathroom. No kitchen. It's just a bedroom.

Do not trust Tod. Photo copy all payments. He says no payments are made but he seems to forget that certified checks in large numbers are documented and recorded. Tod if you forgot it was 2 checks totaling $ 50,000.00. Marie is rough with the patients and they do not care for them. I have multiple pictures. If you love your family member, get them out of there.

My mother is in Jonesburg Nursing & Rehab. We chose it because we needed something that allows somebody to be pending Medicaid. We also wanted a place that was clean and looked like they cared. When we toured them, even though it's far out of the St. Louis area, they have very caring and attentive staff. It's not new and flashy, but it's very well maintained. They go the extra mile for the residents. The food tastes good, but there's not an incredible amount of variety. They have three activities a day to keep them busy and they try to involve all residents in them. It's very clean, but it's an older building, so there are some issues with that.

Very nice place! It's an older building but has been updated and still working to improve. The Staff was awesome and very caring for my needs and wants for my mother. I took a tour of the Memory Unit as well and even though my mother wasn't going over there I knew if she did she would be in great hands. They always have RN coverage in the building, that was the best thing I could hear as we have a shortage in this area. They do accept Med- Pending!! Every place I called wouldn't accept Med- Pending. I had 3 places tell me to call Aspire in Jonesburg. Now my mother is placed she is happy. I'm allowed to visit anytime I want as they have no rules around Visiting besides to check in and where a mask.

We went to look at Jonesburg Nursing & Rehab. It was very nice and very small. They are very sweet people out there. They have an opening, and one of the main reasons was that it's hard to find a Medicaid place out in this area that does have an opening. The staff members are very, very gentle people. That was my main concern. They seem to care about the patients. The rooms are kind of older looking, but they're very homey looking. You can put your own things in there, but you have to share them with another person, so that's why I didn't give them a five, because nobody gets their own room, but they're very nice. They have a therapy and shower room. They have all kinds of different things. They have a big TV room and a craft room where they can go and do crafts. They have bingo. The facility was clean.

Don’t expect your loved one to eat at the same time every day. My family member gets dinner any where from 6:15 to 6:45 in the evening. The sinks and counters in the rooms are normally dirty. Staff answers residents light when they feel like it if at all. Your family member may turn their light on for assistance at 11 pm but not be changed until the morning shift comes in at 7 am. Good luck with them getting regular showers.

Charge nurses don’t care therefore residents aren’t cared for on their shift (normally night and weekends). Management could care less when you complain. You can report issues such as resident turning their light on for help and someone might show up at some point maybe an hour or two later. Complain to management and the aid always has an excuse. Nothing changes issues only get worse. Some care but none of them are in management. Have seen charge nurse be hateful to a resident and she still has a job. I would rate a -1 if it was an option.

My father was at Jonesburg Nursing Home for three days. He was unconscious for all three days, but I would say overall that the care was good. The staff members are mostly from the town nearby, I think, and I felt that they were caring people. The price overall was on the lower side, which was good. I felt like the facility was adequate for my father’s situation, but we wanted a private room, and they didn’t one available. The quality of the facility was lower, older, and worn.

Do not use this home. They will not return calls (no matter how many times you call to check on a family member); my family member's ribs were sticking out with the skin sunken in (this person was overweight); they left the false teeth in (died w/food stuck around the false teeth). Unrecognizable. They give meds all at once. They are careless and should be out of business. Just get cameras installed and you will see it all.

Jonesburg Nursing & Rehab is not quite as clean. There were times that there were odors. They need a little more social stimulation for the people. The nurses and the staff were very friendly and very kind. But they didn't communicate well with my niece. One time, we went there, and my sister was having a nosebleed. They hadn't contacted us even though it was a severe nosebleed. They were trying to stop it, but they didn't call us. We just sort of walked in on it, so we had to take her to the hospital. They knew about it but didn't contact us. That's the main reason for my sister's move.
