Providence Assisted Living of Senatobia is a smaller facility, but the employees are so enthusiastic. They really seem to care about the residents. I talked to several of them. They all said the same thing, that they take really good care of them. My dad has a one-bedroom with a living room, bathroom, and a kitchenette. They have multiple dining areas. They tend to have a big meal at noon and smaller meal at night. They have activities for them. They are taking him up-front to co-mingle with the people there. He's not just stuck in one area, and he could just get up and eat as well. They have to take him through the doors and stuff. They have been renovating rooms, and they'll put vinyl laminate in. They also have foot care come to the facility, somebody to do their hair, games, and events. The other thing which excited my dad, is that they will take them fishing in Arkabutla Lake. My sister can get to the place very easily and very quickly, but we were also very pleased with the staff. They are very caring and very energetic. I judge a lot based on the existing residents that I talked to, and they all seem to be very comfortable.

Providence Place advertises many attractive, comforting things they do not provide. There are no Registered Nurses on site; only one LPN during day through early evening. All previous RNs have left after brief employment. At night there are only aides on site and if you visit it’s difficult that locate them. Medications aren’t always given correctly; they do not make sure the residents even take their meds, but leave meds in the rooms especially when staff is short. You have no choice but to use their pharmacy provider . There is a fast and furious turnover of staff, even office and kitchen staff. Food served to residents has become subpar;seems residents with hypertension and diabetes all get served same food. Please visit your loved one frequently so staff knows you pay attention to your family. Someone seriously needs to investigate the day to day operation of this assisted living facility.

I'm glad that they had vacancy when we inquired initially. This facility was recommended to me and it's close to my home and I can just visit my mom often. The staff are very knowledgeable at what they do and the residents are very warm and friendly. I really feel that my mom is treated well and is receiving all the care that she needs. My mom got an apartment with a living room, a bedroom and a bathroom. She has 3 meals a day and she goes down for each one of them. The place has definitely a homey environment and this is what I really like most with the place.
