Clean facilities with professional and caring staff. My grandmother was well taken care of at Wisteria Gardens. When she needed assistance, staff were there to help. The therapy helped her get better and stronger quicker.

Father in for knee therapy . Checked him out after 2 weeks. Should have after 2 days. Inconsiderate aids. Would not come to help him to bathroom at night. I arrived in morning to find him in soiled pants and sheets. When I called to change sheets they removed them but didn't put clean ones on. Left him in his wheelchair for over 2 hours and only put on clean sheets after I went to nurse station to complain. I heard aids mocking a patient who was calling for help. When I asked for room to be cleaned I was ignored. Aid acted like I insulted her. Our nurse would not talk to me and they are on charge on the weekends. My dad fell in the bathroom and the nurse would not let him get up until she took his blood pressure. He was hurting and lying on a dirty floor. It was horrible. I reported to person in charge of all staff. She sounded sincere but past reviews all say the same. Just talked to lady while waiting to see the Dr and she had a horrible experience too. Why are they rated a 5 out of 5

This facility was clean and did not smell like a nursing home but those are the only positives about it: The nursing staff was less than professional and did not appear or act as though they cared about the individual patient. Some of the nursing aides were actually mean and hateful to my 90 year old mother who is recovering from a stroke. They left her more than one time in the restroom for more than 30 minutes. One aide put her in the restroom and went home without telling anyone that she had put my mother in there. If you pushed the nurse call button it took them at least 15 minutes to respond. It took the nurse practioner about 10 days to address a severe cough she had. The majority of the staff exhibited signs of a superiority attitude to my mother and anyone who asked questions about her care and seemed to be affended whenever we discussed a situation that we were not comfortable with. All in all I would say, if your loved one needs a rehab facility, I can not recommend this facility.

I would say Wisteria Gardens was above average as far as looking like nice facility. The general cleanliness of the environment stood out to me. There were shiny tile floors everywhere. It was the most expensive one, so I expected it to have the nicest rooms.

My daddy was here for rehab from a broken hip and he also has alzheimers. We had requested Wisteria and had heard good things. But I am sad to say the only positive experience we had were the Nurses during our 2-3 weeks stay. The CNA's, I guess they were called, were the most unkind, uncaring and very disrespectful to my daddy and to us, his family. No one wanted to do their jobs. We NEVER once saw the Doctor we had elected. Most of the thereapist always seemed rushed when we had questions about his therapy. I was there for a full week and I felt like we were imposing on them every day. I am very upset over the treatment he received.

My mother was close to the end of her life, sedated and unable to communicate. I had a very unkind experience with a nurse. I walked in the room to see how much longer the nurse would need to finish my mother's bath. The temp in the room was already 60 degrees. My mother had nothing on and was laying on a cold mattress pad with no sheet. My mother would never have tolerated that. There were sheets in the drawer and towels to partially cover her. The nurse and facility director felt as though nothing was done wrong. Always be sure to check bath procedures because she should have been partially covered and there should have been something covering the cold mattress. In grieving for my mother I still have that image in my mind. Yes there were good things about this facility but failure to acknowledge the inconsideration of that nurse only made my grief worse.
