My parents moved into Harbor Crossing. I give it excellent high marks on everything: the appearance, the hominess, and the cleanliness. The staff is very caring. The room is nice. It's newer, so it's more updated. There is music often, and they can go down and listen to somebody playing the piano, singing, or whatever. They have several rooms. They have a pool table. They have an area where they have happy hour on Friday afternoons. They do bingo at least once a week. Whether you are Evangelical, Catholic, or something else, there are worship days. They have an arts and crafts room. They have an area where they get together and play cards. There is an exercise room. The dining area is clean, nice, and open. It has a very homey feeling. My parents have commented that the food is actually very delicious.

I went to Harbor Crossing. The tour was great. They have a lot of facilities. My sister is going into assisted living, and the building is beautiful. The amenities are lovely. The people were very caring and forthcoming about everything. We chose this place for all the amenities, and all that's included in her rent, including two meals a day, laundry, light housekeeping, and assistance with acclimating to the building for the first two weeks that she's there, which is very helpful because her memory is the issue. And the other reason is it's just two blocks from my house so it makes it very, very convenient.

My mother-in-law will be moving into Harbor Crossing. It was beautiful, very welcoming, and clean. They have a lot of amenities and she can age in place there. The staff was very informative, very friendly, and showed us a lot. They gave us a cupcake. They have phenomenal food, I've heard from people who live there, and they have three chefs. They have large decks on each floor that you can sit out and overlook a pond. They have appliances in the rooms. Hers has a washer and dryer in it, and they don't all have that. It's got a refrigerator, a microwave, dishwasher, and a stove. However, we can have the stove turned off.

We're thinking about going with The Pillars of White Bear Lake. We liked that the people were nice and the rooms were good. We especially liked their attitude towards visitors. They would let visitors come in. We also liked the price. The room was very nice. We're getting a one-bedroom with a nice, big bedroom that is very clean. It has a nice view, so we like it. We don't take part in many activities, but they say they have nice activities. They have an exercise room. There's no swimming pool but they have a gym where people can walk in. They have a nice, big lunchroom, too. I'm going to cook on my own, and my wife gets three meals a day. The facility has a nice layout.
