The Lakes at Stillwater is a beautiful facility. It looks like a lodge out in the woods. They have an area for classes, they have an amphitheater, and they have a fire pit. They have a lot of outdoor spaces. The common areas are cozy and beautiful. They have a restaurant. It was cozy. It looked like a five-star hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, too.

My mom was at The Lakes at Stillwater and it was horrible, that's why we moved her. Some of the staff were not caring and friendly. During COVID, it was horrible. They were quarantining her all the time. It was just horrible that's why I moved her out. Like if I took her to a doctor's appointment and when I brought her back, she had to stay in her room for 14 days. The director was horrible. I couldn't even move her out myself, yet they let 2 strangers come in and pack her. It was just a terrible experience. I would never recommend it. Just from my experience, I think the staff was not very nice to the residents at times. They talk down to them, I guess. It was a brand-new facility, my mom was the first one in there. The apartment was nice, but I like her current place better because of the layout. The Lakes is very modern. It was a nice facility and it was pretty. The building was beautiful, that is if you want a nice building over care. The food was okay. She didn't eat there a lot though. It wasn't bad but it wasn't wonderful either. Compared to other places, it probably wasn't out of whack since it's a brand-new facility and it was on a higher end. They had a lot of common spaces too. She was in independent living but she could stay in her apartment if she needed assisted living. That was part of the reason why I put her there because I thought that was good. It would be nice that she wouldn't have to move if she needed to go into assisted living. That was a positive thing.
