My mother liked Summit Ridge Place, and I guess that's the most important thing. It's small, and she likes that part of it. It's an older building, but the living room area and the kitchen area all seem kept up nicely. The staff who gave the tour was good. And he answered all the questions. We got a menu from them, and it looked like they had good meals. The staff said that the person who cooked the meals was in culinary school. The dining area is small but it looked clean. There's a nice patio out in the back. It's fall, so there are leaves all over the place, but they have a nice cement slab and then some grassy areas. It was nice. It was kind of secluded though.

I would never put anybody in Summit Ridge Place. It's not nice. I was very disappointed in that place. It's not private pay yet. If they had an opening for private pay, then it would be a consideration. We could tell it wasn't super clean, and it wasn't very inviting. They didn't even know we were coming, and I had an appointment. They still let us see it because we made the point of going. But, even the kitchen where they'd feed the people was not at all cheery or decorated or, just nothing that made you feel like you were important to be there for your family. We could tell there were black webs in the window of the people that just exited the place. There's furniture piled up. The person who showed us around was nice. The yard you would get to sit in had old, dirty furniture piled up in the corner.

It was a very nice place. It’s just that my father’s not ready to go that way. There’s plenty of staff and a lot of people around, it’s a nice place. They said that they have a team that comes by for the veterans, and they have card games, puzzles, and lots of different things. Sometimes, they would go to an outing for a day somewhere. The dining area was nice, very neat and spacious. I liked that it was neat and clean, everybody was busy, there was always something going on, and they were really friendly.

We visited for my mother. Everything was very nice. It was quaint, but the rooms were small with just enough room for a single bed. It was not large at all. The staff seemed to be friendly and competent. The activities seemed to be normal for senior living. They would take the residents shopping or play cards.

It was very nice; you could tell it had been built in the last 10-12 years and had extra touches to make it very homey and beautiful. I think they had a fireplace and very much like a home, it was smaller, and the staff was very warm and caring. They bend over backwards to make it home for these people. Their rooms were very nice. They had a kitchen activity area that was in the middle of the home, and that was available for everyone.

It seemed smaller. It didn't seem like there were more open areas for them to be, except for the eating area. On the games, it seemed like they get a lot of computer stuff. My mom talked well about stuff that they get on the computer. That's what threw me off, where it wasn't more hands-on togetherness of board games or different things. Otherwise, it was very clean, nice patios. It just was the closed-in feeling to me when we went walking around. It was a nice facility. The staff was nice. I liked it when they were having dinner, and how they were handling people for the time I was there.

The people who work here were very communicative. They told us everything we needed to know, and they seemed to be able to answer every question. They are very friendly. The facility itself was nice, but it wasn’t exactly we looking for because at the time we had a pet, and we couldn’t have it there.

My Father, Lou, was a resident there for a little more than 2 months. He had the best care out of everywhere he went(2 other places in the area). Because this facility is a smaller place, he was given the personable attention he deserved. I will never forget how the staff had so many compliments to him, how he was always chipper, but that showed, he was being treated good! He got to know the staff by name and alot of the residents also. He was happy here and felt very safe! The staff treated him like family. Taking time to care and listen. And to find a place like this, is so much stress off the family, as I was his care-giver for almost two years prior. Thank you to the whole staff(sorry this took sooo long, just found this site)!
