My mom is at Presbyterian Homes. I think they do a great job. She's in the independent living so she doesn't really get care per se. Being in COVID, they've shut all those activities down, but they normally provide a lot of activities. She has a very nice-sized room and it's very functional. It's definitely spacious enough. There's like a little fireplace, kitchen, office, bedroom, bathroom and living room.

SummerWood of Plymouth was beautiful. It had a lot of activities. The apartments were big and they provided a lot of amenities like fireplaces and activities like excursions. It's clean and the staff was great. The coordinator was caring, very helpful, very upbeat, happy, and more than willing to go the extra way for you. Their menu looked great. It's a very happy environment.

We thought SummerWood was a really classy operation. The people were all friendly and they were moving around like people who were enjoying themselves. Everybody seemed to be happy. Almost every room has a balcony and some of them have fireplaces. The other thing they have is underground heated parking. It is a beautiful location and it has all the amenities, so if others are interested in it and if it is something they like and something they want, they ought to look at it. The desk staff was very friendly. The manager was not there; it was Sunday. We talked to a lot of residents and they seemed to be happy.

Presbyterian Homes Summerwood was more of senior apartments. You can move into dementia care, but that was one hallway behind locked doors. It was a small unit and it was not welcoming. The rest of the building reminded me of an old hotel even though it's new. It was dark and large. It had a beautiful dining room and looked like wonderful food by the look of the menu.
