My mom is at Good Samaritan Society-Ambassador. The staff there seems very caring. The services are high quality and the food is high quality (which is important to my mom). They have a little atrium that people could sit in, bingo games, and state-fair-themed activities. Recently, they just had someone that come in and perform music outside.

Good Samaritan Society - Ambassador was very nice and very clean. Everybody there seemed happy. It was small and they didn't have a lot of residents. They had a workout room, a nice dining room, and a nice rooftop balcony. The only downside was outside of the building, the grounds were not very nice just because of where they are. There wasn't much room for gardens or anywhere to walk because it was kind of tucked away in a cul-de-sac. The staff was kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. They seemed to know all the residents on a first-name basis.

My mother-in-law has moved to Good Samaritan Society - Ambassador. She's in their assisted living unit, which is also there with their rehab. It's an assisted living community with approximately 20 to 25 residents who have their own apartments, and they have assistance from the staff to help in their daily living. All the staff that we have met have been very positive and helpful. I have not tried the food, personally, but she seems to enjoy the food and finds that there's just too much of it. The dining area is clean and organized. It's an open area where folks can eat together at tables. Her room has a living room and as part of the living room, there's an area for a small kitchen table, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a sink with plenty of cupboards and no oven. She has her own bedroom and both bedroom and the living room have cable TV service. She has her own bathroom with a large walk-in shower. They have pull cords for emergencies if she needs that in the bathrooms. It's clean too. They have a library there, a music room, and a community area with a big-screen TV. They have an outdoor patio area and an enclosed porch area. They have an elevator for 4 residents who need to get to the second and third floors. They have a nurse on-site during the daytime hours, and on-call, after hours. They have activities every day like music, cards, a movie, and things like that. I've been there several times and I've never seen anything that's been broken down or repaired or shabby work. Everything was clean, painted well, and it was just a pleasing environment. I think it's a good value, in terms of the money, although we're still kind of working through that issue.

The communication with families at this facility is atrocious. Updates and care conferences are non-existent. The main number is answered, but you are rerouted to phones that ring endlessly. My family was not notified when my loved one fell and was (inappropriately) manually lifted from the floor by one staff member. Nursing didn't bother to assess for pain or bruising. My loved one was fed food on her allergen list. The heat was out for two days without being fixed. Therapy assessments did not align with hospital physician recommendations and therapy sessions were not held as scheduled.

Good Samaritan Society - Ambassador is fantastic. We've been at three other care centers for transitional care and this one is by far the best we found. It's very friendly, has lots of people around, lots of activities, and they don't pass you without saying a greeting. It smells clean, and the staff is overwhelmingly kind, very thoughtful, hands on, and very engaged. The food is very good and looks nice. The watermelon is fresh, the eggs are hot, and there are choices. I'm very impressed. They have Bingo, cards, exercise with music, worship, and chapel. They go to each resident to see if they'd like to come and participate. They immediately respond to concerns, and when the bell goes off, it's moments before someone's there. I would love for them to have some more art or movies. I would refer anyone there.

the physical therapy and occupational therapy were incompetent They neglected to work on my wifes ankles and feet which was needed. The home study was incomplete and inaccurate as they wanted her to go to assisted living . Do not trust them as they wanted to keep my wife with them to collect the money She is at her home now driving her own car and working part time

Good Samaritan Society would have been our second choice. As far as I can tell, the people who work there are good. I met the person by the door and the person who showed me around. They have a calendar of activities for the residents, and they have a bus. Their price is expensive, but the room that I saw was nice. It seems like a nice place, it's clean, and with happy people all around.

My father is at Good Samaritan Society - Ambassador. It is a superb place through and through. We've been more than OK with it. The staff is phenomenal. Everybody that works there is great and all the residents are great too, so we've been very happy. It's clean and neat. I've been to other senior living places that were dumps, so this was a breath of fresh air. The residents seem to enjoy the food and it looks appetizing. They play bingo. I enjoy going there. The residents are nice and everybody enjoys the activities. It brings the whole place together.
