I have a senior waiver from the county, so they do come in and they help me with cleaning and laundry. I have my own nice size apartment with a living room, small kitchen, and quite a large bedroom. They have a few activities, but they don’t bother you to join -- they do invite you though. They just switched management and we got a very good deal with the new man in charge. It’s a beautiful building. If anyone were looking for a senior apartment I certainly would recommend this place. They have a therapist and exercises four times a week. They have an exercise room and an equipment room. They have different public rooms such as a library and a theatre room with a big screen TV and comfortable reclining chairs. It’s right on the Mississippi River and right outside my window I can sit and watch the swans all winter. The grounds are kept very pretty and there is a nice patio with lots of plants.

Mississippi Shores is very nice and clean. All of the residents that I've had the chance to talk are were very pleased with the place. The atmosphere was upbeat. The person who assisted us was very good. He wasn't available when I went the first day because I didn't have an appointment. When I visited later, he was very helpful, showed me the place, and explained everything. The dining area was nice. I saw some people playing cards, and they have a library and a beauty facility.

There wasn’t a lot to do at Mississippi Shores. The rooms were put together; it looked a little crowded. There was no dining; you have to do all the cooking and no availability. The staff knows everything about the place. I wasn’t really happy of the room arrangements and the way things were put together. They didn’t seem friendly to me.
