My parents are both living in Amira Choice Forest Lake. They are in the memory care section and it's very nice. They're very good with my mother. They shower her once a week (I usually wash her hair) and help her get her jammies on at night. Then she only has one prescription drug, which they give her in the morning. So, that's about all they do for her as she does a lot of stuff independently. I am happy with the staff. They're good at doing activities. The dining area is very nice, too. Even though they're on the higher end of the pay scale, they're less than the places I've been going to. So, they're fairly reasonable. The only thing I'm concerned about with them is they're reconstructing their pay scale and they're going to have memory care levels and every time the button is pushed, there is going to be a charge for that.

Cherrywood Pointe of Forest Lake was OK. I was very impressed with it, so I put money down to put my parents on the waiting list. However, I found a place for my parents. I want my money and now they want tax information, which makes no sense to me because we're not renting from there. The information that they gave me was very poor because the staff told me that if we decided we get off, we would get our check back; well no, they went ahead and cashed it. It's beautiful. Everything is clean. However, the lady that I talked to did a poor job. The tour was wonderful. She was great, but she didn't provide good enough information (especially with the check). This place has many amenities. They have an actual movie theater. They have a little room for people in memory care (because they go back in time), and they can sit there. They have like little baby clothes that they could fold, and they have little baby dolls. They have a sink and little dishes where they can pretend they're doing dishes and stuff like that. They actually have a sports room where you just want to sit back and relax, you can sit in front of a fireplace. They have a really nice outdoor area, where you could go sit outside if you want fresh air. They have a beauty shop that's right there. They have a lot of stuff there. The place is beautiful. The staff was nice, but she provided horrible information. The dining room is like you're going to a restaurant. You pick what you want, and they bring it out to you. They deliver you your food as you sit down. Also, you can get it in your room if you want.

I took a tour at Cherrywood Pointe of Forest Lake for Dad like a month ago, and my sister-in-law toured it today. She liked it. They only have studio apartments available left at his care level, but they were very nice. They are going to face the courtyard, and they are going to have a garden out there. My dad is big into flowers, and he could help plant flowers, so that's good. They have activities, it was very clean, and it's a new facility. I toured a different room, but I did see some of the studios, and they seemed spacious enough for him. The location was good for us because we all live in Forest Lake. It's convenient -- you could go, get in and out of places, or do whatever. We had the COVID restrictions lifted a little bit, so that definitely helps us make a choice right now. It's a pretty place, and the staff was very nice and very friendly. There were people doing exercise classes, and I was touring the memory care facility. There wasn't a lot going on when I was there because it was lockdown for COVID. I was just in the memory care part where they were in a gathering room. There were people doing exercise classes in their chairs, like a SilverSneakers type of thing. They are going to resume offering a lot of things with the COVID restrictions lifting. I wasn't walking around the whole facility and looking at every room because of COVID.

I found Cherrywood Pointe of Forest Lake for my sister. It's in an area where she has lived before. The tour was very pleasant. The staff was average. The atmosphere was clean, and the rooms were very spacious, sunny, and welcoming. The dining area was very spacious. They had laundry and shopping. She will move there on February 1st.

Cherrywood Pointe of Forest Lake may work out the best for my friend. The units were very nice, not quite as big as the other place, but the price was also more reasonable. Its in a better location in terms of having a view. We were there when they were having lunch. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, and the people we talked to said the food was delicious. We walked through the library, it was lovely, and there were people doing a puzzle. We also went through a workout room, that was very nice, with a unique jungle gym for seniors that was made by a local company, for balance. They also have a hair salon.

Cherrywood Pointe of Forest Lake was beautiful and had a great setup for taking care of their residents. The rooms were spacious and designed well. We have not tried the food, but we saw the dining area, and it was very nice. I met the lady who gave me a tour, and she was very pleasant and friendly. They had a spa room as well as an exercise room.

Cherrywood Pointe of Forest Lake was great. I was looking at the two-bedroom, and it had two baths, a living room and a kitchen, but it's smaller than the other one we visited. Everything was on main floor even the laundry. However, it would be more complicated there because of underground parking and there were long hallways to get to my room, but almost anything was available there. It's just an awesome place. It's the best assisted living that I've ever seen.
