My husband moved into Encore at Champlin. It's very small and intimate and he's separated from the assisted living because he's in memory care. And so he's got a whole staff that looks after him. The facility was nicely decorated. They have a big sitting area with a piano and crafts for the people. They have an outdoor area fenced in with flowers and walking. You can walk around. It's very nice to look at. His room is pretty spacious. He's got a single bed, a little living area, a small kitchen, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a sink. The bathroom is very spacious with a shower, toilet, and sink. It is bright. He's got a big window that looks out into the yard. So he can look at trees and whatever. The staff is divided into the nursing staff and the caregivers who are supposed to help him. The nursing staff is wonderful. The caregivers don't speak English very well and they're hard to understand. But that's not anybody's fault. It's simply the staff who work there.

Bickford of Champlin is awesome and I would recommend them to anyone. It's very clean. The people are very friendly, personable, and respect my father. They have plenty of activities, like card games and movie nights, and the activity directors go to the rooms and bring people out to do the activities. The food is unbelievable and awesome. Their meals are very balanced, have a lot of flavor, and if you tell them that your loved one doesn't like fish or vegetables, they will accommodate. They also have better portions than the place my dad was at. We're paying more there than at his previous place, but it's well worth it.

Champlin Gracewood Senior Living was really nice and really friendly. It was clean and organized. It was close to my house, but then it would be further away from my brother. They were really nice rooms, but you had to provide your own furniture. They had a really nice dining room, and they kept it open for all, even the memory care. Nobody ever wandered off.

Gracewood of Champlin is lovely and very clean. It is a smaller unit, but it is very nice. They have tons of different rooms and lots of different activity directors. They have men and women who come and take on groups of people, so it is close-knit community with one-on-one care. It is very nice and very impressive. The food looked fabulous. All of the people were eating. I had avery nice lunch. The rooms were set up and designed by somebody in the medical profession; all of the bathrooms were wheelchair accessible, and all the floors were even.
