We are choosing Hayden Grove Senior Living for ourselves because it has everything we want, and we love it. The facility is brand new and beautiful, and we get 3 meals a day. We chose a 2-bedroom apartment and we'll be the first people to use it. They have different activities happening every day, so we'll see what they have to offer. The staff who gave us the tour was very kind. We have a small dog, and they allowed us to have our dog live with us.

I was able to tour Hayden Grove Senior Living - Bloomington. It was very neat and clean. When I went, they were having a festival or some party, and they invited us to the party. Everything was done very nicely. The rooms were brand new so they are terrific. It was a full apartment with a balcony and in-house laundry. The staff that I met were very nice and caring. The sales manager didn't seem very interested in whether I wanted to be there or not, I toured with my daughter and she felt the same thing. They had two exercise rooms, they had a lot of activities, and they had a bistro. I talked with a couple of ladies that were residents, and they were very pleased there. And they said at night they would go to the courtyard and there would be a fire, and somebody would sing or play music and stuff. The upkeep of the place looked good because it's brand-new.

I went to Hayden Grove Senior Living. I was impressed with it, but it's pricey compared to where I'm living right now. It's fairly new, so it looked like it was fresh and it was appealing. The staff I met was very friendly. I thought the food was fine, it was good. I had lunch.

Hayden Grove Senior Living Bloomington is a very nice facility, and the staff is great. We looked at one-bedrooms with them, and the activities and stuff like that seem to be good. The menu and all the stuff on the food menu also seems to be good, and the pricing seems to be competitive with everybody else. The only reason we didn't go with that one was because it was fairly new; it had only been available for like four months, so everybody was new, and we were looking for one that had people that had been there for a while. What they didn't have was a program where they had somebody that had been living there for a while, and that would become like a "buddy" with my mother going in, then she'd be able to learn what was going on, and get introduced to other people. The facility was really nice and it's a neighborhood with a bunch of houses, so it just kind of stood out to a certain extent. All in all, I have nothing negative to say about the facility. They also have a lawn.

I'm moving into Hayden Grove in Bloomington. It was the most affordable for me because it includes all utilities, and it's priced at a reduced rate for low-income people. It's very small, though. It's very tiny, so it certainly isn't for the space that I'm choosing it, but for all the utilities that are included. The staff is really nice; they're excellent, very pleasant, and knowledgeable. I'd say the apartments are very tiny, but the facilities that are available are excellent -- there are many options. It's a brand-new building. They have a dining room, a theater room, a game room, a hair salon, and an exercise room. They have the option of taking people on outings, too. There are a lot of things included; it's just that the affordable housing is only available in 650-square-foot apartments, and for me, it's very small.
