My mom moved into Golden Hearts. I like the place. I like the people who are running it. My mom complains about the food because it doesn't have as much variety as she'd like. They only have 16 rooms, so my mom does get personal attention there. My mom likes the room. It was not really big, but it was good for what she needed. The staff knows me pretty well. I really get along with the staff, and my mom too. Their food was well prepared. They play bingo or some sort of card game every day. They have a golf cart to take a few residents and drive around the neighborhood. They could have more activities. I think they're charging me a little bit too much, because my mom doesn't need that much care.

Golden Hearts has all private rooms with 16 beds; eight rooms share a bathroom, and eight rooms have private bathrooms. It was very homey. They are much larger than other private rooms that I've seen in other nursing homes. The baker's wife owns this business, and he owns a bakery business, so there is a lot of baked goods and home-cooked meals. People that I have talked with have been very satisfied with this place. They get two baths a week. I like the staffing ratio. They are adequately staffed, and the people get attention quickly. Most of them were busy doing something when I was there; they were either doing handwork or doing puzzles. The staff was there helping them. They have two areas where they have scheduled activities, and you could participate if you want to.

Our family was very pleased with the special tender loving care my father received in the year that he lived at your facility. Each of the care givers and the owners developed a special relationship with my dad and with my mom as she visited daily. I would recommend this facility to any one that needs good tender loving care and assistance with daily living !!!
