I have moved into Park Place, A Signature American House Community. I like the size of it, that it's not too small. I also like the fact that it is very well-maintained. Everyone in charge has been most helpful before I moved in, during moving in, and after I've moved in. I have not gotten to know a lot of the neighbors because I'm in a wheelchair and on oxygen, so I haven't been out and about, but the service here has been outstanding. They're absolutely beautiful. Everyone who comes in here is amazed at how well kept up they are, and just the quality of what they have used to design the rooms and everything. I moved in in November and then I just moved into a different room Saturday. I chose a studio apartment as opposed to a one-bedroom because I don't need that much room. There are lunches, there's going out shopping, there are doctor's visits, and there are activities here all the time like craft activities and bingo. There's just about everything you could want to do is here. And if you can't find it, you can ask for it. There's a lovely library, a very nice pool table for those who like to play pool, an area for playing cards, and an area just for sitting in front of a fireplace talking to your neighbor. The food is unbelievable. I have not had a bad meal here. It is excellent.

We're at Park Place, A Signature American House Community. I'm pretty well satisfied. The least I liked was getting somebody in a short time. The best is there are so many activities here. We have about everything, bingo and card games and we have a happy hour on Thursday. We usually have an entertainer of some kind. We're under assisted living. I'm a caregiver for my wife mostly. She's bedbound. It's very expensive to live here. I like the staff. We have a lot of food choices, but they keep serving the same thing over and over. We have lots of room here. They offer a salon, we have an exercise room, and there's a therapy place in-house.

I went to Park Place (American House). It was a great place and it had a lot of facilities, it had a movie room and game rooms, excellent dining and it had an indoor little pond area. I've only met a couple of the staff, they were all very nice. I thought that that was the best of the ones that I visited.

American House Park Place was a lovely facility. I've chosen a two-bedroom two-bath that's 1,000 square foot. The layout was perfect for someone in a wheelchair because it's an open design. It's not full of hallways, doorways, and things you have to navigate. For a handicap person, it's very nice. They have a community room, a library, a quiet room, a room where they do religious services, a full dining room, and a natural trail outside for the summertime. It's close to shopping and restaurants. It's a very nice facility. They have all sorts of activities, and they post them on an online bulletin board every day. There's a whole calendar of activities available, and it varies from day-to-day.

Park Place -- A Signature American House -- is very, very luxurious compared to most that we saw. It has an excellent atmosphere and a lot of extras that most people don't have. My sister's apartment is right off their indoor atrium, which has an indoor fish pond and live plants. She has double doors that go right out to the atrium, so it's a very, very lovely setting. It has a friendly atmosphere, not only because of the staff, but also the residents that she's encountered. The staff particularly is very friendly and hospitable too. They also have laundry services.

Park Place was very beautiful. It was the nicest of the ones we visited, but it was the most expensive. Their apartments were very nice, good sized, very clean, and updated. The facility was excellent. It was like being in an Embassy Suites Hotel. The surroundings were great. It's right near shopping centers, the grocery store is less than a mile away, and it's close to the main road. The staff was very nice.

Park Place is unbelievably beautiful, and the people are attentive. We loved the people when we signed all the paperwork, and we've loved everyone we've met so far. The nursing staff is unbelievable. My mom pulls the cord and they come right away, and they come every two hours. I spent the night there and I had to go to her house just for an hour to do something. When I came back, the nurse was still sitting there. I'm real impressed. The right side is independent living, the left side is assisted living, but they said, "Once you move in here, you'll never move out of your apartment. Everything we can do on the assisted side, we will come to your house and do." We moved mom into the independent living, but with full nursing help. They don't have a hospital section. The other side have 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments, but the staff does more. The food is way better than where she's been. Because of the pandemic, everyone eats inside in their rooms, but their dining room is spectacular and has 25-foot ceilings. Her room has 10-foot ceilings, and it makes her place feel so much grander. There are so many amenities there for her, and there's a variety of food. We chose it because of the location, and they brought the value down because of the pandemic.

My parents moved into Park Place. It's fine for my mother, but a little scary for my father because he's got dementia. The staff has been extremely accommodating, very helpful, and available to assist us with moving them in. They are together in a very spacious two-bedroom, two bath apartment. They have a balcony, in-unit washer and dryer, and a huge kitchen. They have a library and a concourse where they have a tiki bar, an in-house movie theater, shuttle services, outings, bi-weekly summertime barbecues, and outings. It's an overall wonderful facility. It's very large, so it's kind of confusing for elderly folks, and it can be a whole lot of walking. The residents seem very happy and seem to enjoy the activities in there.

Highlight was consistent CARE given by Private Quality Care staff. Building is clean, nice, well-maintained...Laundry comes back folded well. Housekeeping is friendly and thorough. Lowlight was the temperature of the dining room in the morning (all year round). BRRRRRR. Breakfast looked good yet lunch and dinner seemed low quality. Not much variety. I think they could do better in that department. I would have given them 4 or 5 stars if the food was better.

The staff at Park Place was wonderful. My father was talking to them for so long, and we were there for an hour. They were good people. The accommodations are great. They have a movie theater. It was probably the prettiest one we saw, but most of the activities were on the upper floor, and my father didn’t like that. He also didn’t like the coffee there, but they had a very good menu.

Park Place was extremely well; I liked it a lot. We would like to put my mother in there, but we’re not able to progress further than they can provide us. We liked the facility, the staff, the amenities, services, and activities. It was clean and had so many different things to do. My mother has progressed somewhat == needing memory care -- and they don’t offer it. They offer meals three times a day, and they have bingo, arts, field trips, shopping, and movies. They have gardening, a chapel, and bible study too.

Park Place is very nice and it’s close to where I live so it’s very convenient. They took us around and showed us some rooms. The rooms were like little apartments and were very nice; you can bring in your own furniture. The staff was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information.

My parents have been at Park Place for about six months already. I like everything that the place has to offer, including the price range. The food is good. My parents have a nice one-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. The place has different activities every day.

I love Park Place, but it was big. It was two storeys, and I was trying to stick to a one-storey place for my mother. It was just beautiful. It made you feel like you're on vacation. I like their dining setup. When you walk in, you see all the tables, and everyone was friendly. They had a lot of activities -- indoors and bus trips -- and they had a theater inside. I just wish it was cheaper.

His sister and I went to Park Place. The people that I've talked to over the phone were all very caring people, but because of some discrepancies going on, they were not able to accept my friend there. We saw one apartment, and it was very spacious, clean, and nice. They serve food if you want to.

The Park Place was excellent, and I liked it. It was very nice and very clean, but they were not friendly. I saw one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, and they were very nice and clean as well. The dining room was good. The meals were nice, and they offer alternatives as well.

The Park Place was nice and elegant, but it was too big. My mother was afraid of getting lost because of all the different hallways. They had two different areas. They had the independent living and assisted living. The doorways in the independent section were regular. They were not wider to accommodate a walker or a wheelchair.
Provider Response
Thank you for visiting Park Place and for your feedback! We find that while it may take residents several days to acclimate to their new surroundings, they do appreciate the layout of the building. In fact, many residents are able to take a walk down the hallways as part of their exercise regime. In addition, all hallways and apartments are built in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines, ensuring that the building is wheelchair accessible. If I can answer any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely, Linda Short, Executive Director 586-578-0124

Park Place was very well done and proximity to the family that was in the area. There was a first floor apartment available exactly the right timeframe we needed one, and the staff I found impressive. It was a beautiful place. My experience with the staff was wonderful, attentive to the other residents, and they seemed very welcoming. The nursing staff was wonderful and very flexible. They have social activities, a Friday afternoon cocktail party where they have wine, beer, and soft drinks and are allowed to invite anyone they want, they have a theater area, bingo, arts, and crafts. The facility itself looks very much like a lovely condominium.

My grandfather has been a resident of Park Place for over a year. I have visited him there, as have many of our other relatives. It's a very nice place and my grandfather's quite happy there. The assisted living program is perfect for him right now. He can come and go as he pleases though he's encouraged to sign in and out but has the benefits of things like med management, regularly scheduled activities, shuttle to the nearby shopping center, and so forth. The facilities are really well set up. I particularly loved the in-house movie theater/screening room, and the courtyard with a koi fish pond and a tiki bar. He has a one-bedroom apartment that's spacious and bright. It's cleaned once a week by the staff. The sheets and towels are done by the staff once a week, as well. The residents do their own laundry in a (no-cost) laundry room; there's a laundry room on each floor.Everyone I met there from the front desk receptionist, to the cleaning staff, to the beauty/barber shop attendants were kind, smiling, and patient. A good place.
