I'm at Yorkshire & Stonebridge Manor. They have a nice pond here with swans and ducks. It's real nice. The staff is very nice, very helpful, and very good. The food is very, very good. If you don't like the food, you can get something else. They have bingo and a couple of things. The layout, cleanliness, and upkeep are OK. It's just too expensive.

I visited Yorkshire & Stonebridge Manor. It has two buildings. They have the same services, whether it's assisted living, nursing care, or whatever. It's all mixed in most buildings; it might be a different hallway. It was very nice, and it's closer to my home. If my mother ever needs nursing care or memory care, it's important to me that she not have to move to another facility. They offer all of that. They have very friendly staff. It's an older facility, but it was fine. The landscape is nice. They have a little pavilion without a roof on it, and people were using that. I took pictures of it. The rooms there are more of a studio type. They have Jacuzzi rooms or spa rooms, where you can go and have a nice spa or tub bath.

I toured Yorkshire & Stonebridge Manor for my husband. We were not so thrilled about it. The admission nurses were very kind and that's about all I can say that was good about it. The place seemed very outdated with very narrow doorways and hallways. If someone's in a wheelchair, it would be very difficult to get in and out of it. It was quite dark and sort of gloomy and had kind of a smell to it. It was more nursing home than it was assisted living. The rooms were small and in need of updating. Bathrooms and showers were in the room, but residents are not allowed to use the showers. They have to go to a regular room made for showering that appeared very dingy and dirty. The meals are included. Another thing that would be different from the other one was you have to pay for your own cable. Meals are included, but you have to pay for your own cable and something else. I don't remember what the other thing was.

Although the buildings are not new, the care here is excellent They have several employees who have been there a lot if years, which is rare today. No care place is perfect, though this is a shining star.
