We placed my mother in the MediLodge of Tawas City. She is in the dementia wing. I feel so comfortable with this place. I'm just happy with them, and it meant so much to me. They take such good care of my mother, and I just don't have anything bad to say. They're just wonderful people. The staff is just a blessing. They're just wonderful. The rooms are very roomy. They're clean. They're nice and warm. I didn't eat the food, but my mother seemed to like it very well. She doesn't leave the floor she stays on. They have their own dining area, and it's nice. They have something to do for them every day. They have different arts and crafts. They have exercise and coffee. Everybody would come down and have coffee together. Nobody ever stays long because they wander. Dementia patients don't like to sit around. They try to interact with them. They try to get all of them to interact with each other. It looks wonderful. Somebody's always there doing something to the walls or to the edges of the floor. Somebody's always working. It's just a wonderful place, and my heart is so joyful.

Understaffed. Poor food. Non caring nurses for the most part......but maybe because they have too much to do. Husband was only in for therapy with a new hip. Therapy was good, but lasted one hour. All the rest of the day the sat on his bed, or laid on the bed...for 10 hours of the day. incision was bleeding and draining for 10 days without consulting his Doctor. Saw, in house physician asst. once....talked to him while walking to therapy. Never examined him or nothin. Would not recommend this place,to my worse enemy.

My mom was in Tendercare, and I have nothing good to say about that place. The ratio of caregivers to patients was not good. When my mom would push her call button, it would take 15 to 20 minutes for someone to come. The room was fine and came with a refrigerator, a TV, and a closet for clothes. It was a nice room, but it was more the care there that I was worried about. My mom stayed there for only two weeks. I think that they’re understaffed.

My father was admitted to Tendercare, and the were so helpful and caring both for the patient and the family. He was admitted December27, 2011 and passed February 4, 2012, and the staff cried with the family. I could not have asked for a better facility for him
