My Mom had rehab at Lakeview Manor. She was treated so well by everyone at the facility. My parent's still keep raving about the wonderful care she got. They loved the food, and Sue the dietary manager was wonderful! The rehab team was awesome and really motivated her to get moving and she was able to return home after 6 weeks. She left Lakeview stronger and in better health than she had been in years. Thank you to everyone that works there. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for rehab or long term care for your loved one, you won't regret it!

This is the worst place to take your loved one. The people there are very rude not only to the patients but to family members that come in with concerns with their loved ones .They talk rude,no care given, not the right care.Left my mom sitting in wet clothes, dirty clothes, not taking care of her incision on her stomach..Also when my mom would tell my sister something they asked my sister are you sure your Mother isn't lying (are you kidding me) such disrespect. Then the administrator came into my moms room while my sister was there pretending to be maintenance man and also being rude to my mom and sister..Last night when talking to my mom on the phone I heard her wheezing so when I hung up with my mom I called her nurse and she said her lungs sounded fine it was in her throat.Well my sister arrived today to find my mom not looking good at all, weak and tired..They told my sister my mom was refusing food and to walk, hmm well my sis said she was going to call 911 to have my mom taken to the hospital and they told her she could not do that, which she could my sis has power of attorney . while I was on the phone with my sister they were talking to my mom like she was dumb.made me so mad..so now my mom is at the hospital and they said she has pneumonia..giving her a breathing treatment..Please whatever you do..do not take your loved on there..My mom will not be going back ;( Now they are going to be reported.

Hi,I want to give a review about a great nursing home called Lakeview Manor in Tawas City, Michigan. I visited this facility as part of a volunteering session that we had with my church's youth group. We had gone around to a few in our community and this was one of our last stops, and I found this facility to be the best overall. I was able to interact with the residents and get to know their normal daily routines as well as their feelings about living at Lakeview Manor. Of all the people that I talked to, no one had anything negative to say except they wished that they still had their freedom to live at home. A few of the patients had family members visiting and I was able to ask the families why they chose to house their family members here. I found out that they are very affordable and offer great options for the residents such as: bringing items from home to put in their private rooms, bingo and other daily activities to keep them entertained, personal chefs that cook food to their liking and visiting pets that they can interact with. I found the staff to be extremely gentle and attentive to the residents. They actually took the time to interact with them and wanted to know mire about them instead of just giving them their medicine and moving on to the next patient. The facility was immaculate and smelled very good. Overall, I would say that this would be a great place for your friend or relative to live when they are no longer able to properly care for themselves. Thank you for letting me share.
