My mom has moved into Baldwin House Lloyd's Bayou. It was great. They're very friendly and helpful. Their staff are really good. The food was not terrible, but it was pretty good. I had bratwurst and some potato salad. My mom's room is a one-bedroom apartment with a small kitchen and a laundry room. They have a general gathering area, a beauty shop, and a chapel. They have all kinds of activities. They go on trips, they have different kinds of exercise classes, they have holiday specials and holiday meals, they have a coffee hour, and they have games.

Baldwin House Lloyd's Bayou would have worked for us. They had a good price, but the vibe wasn't great. It was sort of a little bit more rundown and the staff and the people there felt like they were just kind of getting by. It's not like a place that they truly enjoy being at. They didn't have a lot of emphasis on exercise and community things. They were laid back and very relaxed, but they were very friendly. It was OK. They had all the amenities but they were not super well maintained. It was just sort of there. I saw an exercise room and the courtyard. That was very nice. The bedroom size was OK. The facility was very close to several great restaurants, so that was good. There's also a nice park on the water nearby and there's a nature trail right next door. The surrounding area was the biggest plus for the place.

We visited the Baldwin House Lloyd's Bayou. It was very clean. They were very professional. The biggest negative is, I think it's three or four stories tall and my father would not like that. The rooms were very clean. The lady was very good at showing us the place and different rooms, a game room, and the dining room and stuff like that. However, she never called us back to see how things were going. But she was very professional, very friendly, and knew a lot of the residents. It was very well maintained, and there was no odor.

Baldwin House Lloyd's Bayou needed updating, it didn't seem like it was maintained very well. A lot of walls had patches and needed to be painted, the windows were dirty and had broken blinds. The staff who gave the tour was very nice and very friendly. The dining room was spacious but dated and dark, I felt like I was in a basement. Even though you had your own apartment with a full kitchen, you have to do their meal plan. So it was very expensive. The overall feel was that of a dated hotel.

Baldwin House Lloyd's Bayou had a great atmosphere. Everybody knew everybody. It was pretty and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, outgoing, and knew every person's name. The accommodations were more than adequate. They were just slightly smaller than the main floor where my father's home right now. When somebody leaves, they redo the flooring and repaint. The views were beautiful. As for the activities, they had the type of activities that my dad would have been interested in. It wasn't too many, so that somebody might be a little confused; there was enough. It sounded like things that he would be interested in like concerts, trips to go to restaurants, a book club, a Bible study, and all of those things. I think that they were things that he would be interested in.

My sister likes it. She can be by herself if she wants to, and she can go out and mingle with other people when she wants to without even going outside. It's exactly what we were looking for. She can have a living room, a bedroom, her own laundry, and a kitchen if she wants. She has three meals a day provided if she wants to eat with other people, but she can also make her own food. They have independent living, and they have nurses in the building if you need one. We only met one person, and she was good. The facility was really nice.

It was very nice, but I didn't like the company inside the facility that provided CNA care that you can hire independently. They were a 1/5 professionally. I was paying for extra morning and evening care, and they weren't providing it. I made a complaint and the care got worse. They had excellent food. She enjoyed the activities such as bingo and movie nights, but her room was isolated. It was on the fourth floor at the end of the hallway.

I've been staying here and the place is OK and the food is good. There's a lack of activities though, and I'm trying to work at having relationships with other people here, which is not really easy. I wish they'd have games and I miss music a lot. I would like to have bus rides somewhere to different places around here too.

I am on a waiting list here. The apartments are all very nice-looking and have good views. The staff is very pleasant, very nice, and very helpful. The dining area is very comfy, and the food is very good. They allow pets.

They had individual apartment which was fantastic. The floor plan and the balcony were very nicely laid out. Everyone had been very accommodating and helpful. I might even consider going there.
