I visited this facility

I toured Regency At St Clair Shores. It was more like a regular nursing home setting, but it was very clean, and it did not smell. They had a receptionist there when you walked in. It was very open. They had a sitting area for people to come in. Plus, you could see the patients who were there dressed up and not in hospital gowns. They were in regular clothes, and they were moving around. Some of them were on walkers, and some walked with canes, but they were very visible. They didn't have any openings for long-term care. They don't have a high turnover rate, but we are on the waiting list. A lot of the patients were very happy with the level of care that they got there, and the patients were clean. The hallways were not cluttered with patients sitting around in wheelchairs and hospital gowns. And they had different activities for them to do, morning, afternoon, and evening. The nurses were taking patients to do different activities. It was a busy atmosphere. The employees seemed happy, and the patients were happy. If I have to place my loved one somewhere, I want them there, but they don't have any openings. With regard to the facility, it was very clean. It didn't smell like a nursing home. It was like you walk into a place of business and it had a normal smell to it. They only do two patients in a room. It's a small closer-knit setting.
