When I visited Brookdale Novi, I saw the room, the space, and what was available. Since it's independent living, they just showed me the package if I needed some help with anything and the prices were too much for me. They showed me a one-bedroom with one bath and its kitchen. The kitchen came supplied, but there was no furniture in the bedroom or the living room, which was fine. The staff was very helpful. The facility was nice and clean. It looked decent.

We liked Brookdale Novi very much. It was very well kept and very well-organized. The staff was very nice. The room accommodations were OK. They were a little dated, but they were still very nice. We were very interested in that particular facility. Their activities were very good. There was a bingo going on while we were there.

We were considering Brookdale Novi for Mom, and the tour was great, but the salesperson was very pushy. I was in a position where I couldn't make a decision that very day, so that made me a little stressed out because I just couldn't do it. I felt they were like, "If you don't do it today, we can't hold the price, and we can't hold the room," and I didn't like that part of it. The facility was not as nice as the other place we visited. The rooms appeared clean, they just needed to be updated. They needed repairs, paint, and those kinds of things.

I saw Brookdale Novi. It is very nice. If I were going to move into a situation like that, it looked good. The apartments were spacious with good storage space. They were well laid-out, and clean. The outside areas where you could do other activities were very nice. Overall, it was a very nice place. The staff members were excellent. I'd say that I would feel safe there, and that the people were responsive. Activities looked awfully good. There were some transportation and activities that they have on the calendar. I'm very much into crafting, and I would find a great number of people there to share all of that with. They always had puzzles or card games. They showed me the menu, and it looked excellent.

Brookdale Novi had a very comfy and homey feeling. They have galley kitchens in all the apartments and a counter across them. The galley kitchen was wide enough that you could go in with a wheelchair and turn around. The food was excellent. The salesperson was very accommodating and caring. The staff member called me and I like that approach, because it shows that they really care about me. All their meals are included in the rental price of the apartment, which I liked. It's a two-story building and they have a lot of people there, including more people in my age group because I'm only 62. The only negative is that the doors in the public bathrooms are hard to open when you're in a wheelchair.

Terrible - Terrible - Terrible., If you love the person who is going to live at Brookdale then I recommend that you consider a much more capability faculty. I have seen many people being asked to leave because they eventually old. and developed dementia. They are not capable of caring for dementia people. The nursing care is as bad as I could imagine. They wouldn't administer "as needed" drug that my doctor had prescribed. Well - every year they hire, what appears to be, the lowest cost nursing care agency. The room cleaning service - does not exist. I was charged but they never visited or cleaned the room. Not even the floor. You can't rely on hair cut in the facility, since they charge the barber so much that they go for months and years without any hair care services. When we hired ongoing showers, he wasn't getting them. We brought him cases of bottled water that kept disappearing. without him dirking them. The manager does not care about the residents. Brookdale Novi is terrible... Strongly suggest that you look at other facilities because there are much better options out there., I personally know other former resident families that share my views. Thank you.

Brookdale Novi was very nice. It was very big and the staff was friendly, but their hallways were too long. My mother uses a walker, and I could not see her walking all the way to the dining room. They had multiple stories and elevators, but it was too big. The rooms were fairly spacious and some of them had a patio if you were on the main floor. The dining area was large and nice.

My father is currently in Brookdale Novi. He has a one-bedroom apartment. It's older though, and they need serious updating. They have a small kitchen area, but it's not very well utilized, and you have to bring in your own refrigerator. When people move out now, they upgrade the carpet and the flooring and put in a refrigerator for them. The bathrooms are small. What they should've done was rehab the whole unit, put new cabinets in and new bathroom stuff. However, they've done upgrades in the dining room and common area like the carpeting.

My mother has been at Brookdale Novi for 3 months now. The people that work there are very friendly. She has a nice 1-bedroom apartment; they refurbished the whole thing before she moved in. The food is good; at each meal, they have a couple of different things to choose from. They have a lot of different things: bingo, happy hour, games, and a pool table. They’ve been really good to us so far.

It is the nicest facility that we found. The food is very good. They have very good people. I have no regrets about sending my mother over there. There is Bingo and they have outings. There is a nice lobby area and the rooms are very nice. The dining room is very nice. Generally, the people are happy.

We chose it for my mom because it met certain requirements we needed. It had very friendly staff. It had plenty of activities for the residents. The community was very nice and clean. The accommodation was very nice. We had a meal there and it was excellent. The dining area was very nice. They have an upstairs and a downstairs lobby, a TV room, a game room, several mini libraries around the facility, a beauty salon, a workout room, and a physical therapy room. I would recommend them to other people.

Everything is going well. They've been very welcoming. They're easy to deal with, whether it's the staff in the office, the greeters, or the people in dining room. It's just a good experience. I don't think the rooms are fancy, but they're nice and appropriate in size depending on your needs. Actually my parents had a need for two bathrooms. They actually accommodated their needs by opening up a wall between two single bedroom apartments. They kind of went over and beyond on what they had to do. They have the usual activities and facilities, exercises, a couple of different religious activities during the week, they got the bingo, and they do have outings. They have a bus that takes them to different stores depending on the week.
