Riveridge Rehab is a nursing home with a memory care wing that was much more depressing and more like a hospital. It didn't seem quite well-kept, and they didn't seem like they paid that much attention to the residents. The rooms were like hospital rooms and you had to use their hospital beds. They were double rooms separated by curtains on slides, so there wasn't much privacy, and it kind of smelled funky. They had a stimulation room with music and colors moving on the wall. They also had physical therapy, but the people we saw there werent doing much. They staff was very friendly to us, but they didn't seem to be interacting with the residents much.

I visited this with a friend whose mom was at the nursing home. Upon arrival there was only a slight odor of urine in one hallway. Patients were dressed upon the appropriate time of day. Staff introduced themselves upon arrival. I was asked to sign in upon arrival. When we got there it was right before lunch time. Patients those who were cognitive were playing a game of bingo. They seemed to be enjoying themselves. There was a lot of friendly staff, even the cleaning lady was friendly to us asking us if we needed anything for the room or for my friends mom.

This facility is spotlessly clean and hires only loving and compassionate employees, they go beyond what is expected of them to ensure the patients are well cared for and loved. I would not hesitate to have my own parents living under their excellent care.
