I would not recommend this place. My Dad lost his foot due to gangrene that should never of happened. He had a small bed sore when he arrived on the heel of his foot which caused amputation of his foot in 5 months of care.

Mom is in Tender Care Midland and it is close and convenient from where I work. Most of the care staff is good. Though they are understaffed, they do the best they can for the patients. But they really need more staff for the patient's ratio. Everybody seems to be upbeat. However, I am not 100 percent satisfied with their care because my mom has fallen a couple of times and she claims that she is not able to see the doctor as often as she wants. Tendercare is not the nicest nursing home I have seen, and I do not believe that it is the best place for someone needing long-term assistance to live. I believe that the residents are under-stimulated and need more interaction and activities. The staffing seems adequate, but I believe that it would be useful for the staff to be trained with a deeper background in psychology so as to understand what motivates people and what leaves them unmotivated to participate in healthy engagement and recrea...
