The people at John Ganton's Countryside have been really nice. They're very helpful and they're taking good care of my aunt. They're always there when we have questions, and they help us. They are great. She has a studio apartment and it's got a large bathroom (bigger than her bathroom at home). It seems nice to me. We put a twin bed in there for her. It's got air conditioning through the wall, which is really nice, and I think it can also do heating. It's got a little kitchen area. There's no stove or anything, but there's a sink and a nice closet (it's not a huge closet, but she doesn't have very much stuff so that works out well). There's a nice window that looks out onto the green area (not a fancy green area or anything like that, but it's something green). She gets television and cable included, which is nice, as she likes to watch the news and everything else. They said we could put holes in the wall, and so we put up all of her pictures. It's just one room, but it's a nice-sized room, and it's plenty for what my aunt needs and I'm thrilled they got her in on the first floor. The facility seems well made and nicely laid out. The food is good. They have church services, I've seen them getting their hair done, which she was kind of actually excited about and I hope it worked out to get her hair done this week. They have puzzles everywhere, they have games sometimes with some of the residents, and they do outings with them. There's a place called Thome Pace, and I know that that sends a bus there, and I've seen it several times where they will take some of the residents out. It's a senior assisted thing so that seniors can get out and do things. So, that's something they have access to.

We toured John Ganton's Countryside Retirement Community. It was very nice, but a little sterile. The staff were fine, but the one I interacted with didn't feel as directly connected with the residents. I didn't have a good feeling. The menu looked good. The structure of the building was very nice. It was modern. From everything I saw, it was clean. There's a nice exercise room. The furniture was nice.

John Ganton's Countryside was a nice place, but it's a lot more money. Our tour was good. It was very clean, tidy, and modern. It was better taken care of. The staff members were nice, caring, and very professional. They had a game room. They tried to get the residents motivated to do certain games and projects on different nights. They had crafting, cards, train games, and that type of stuff. They had an exercise program as well.

We are choosing John Ganton's Countryside for my parents. We liked that it was an apartment setting. The staff and the residents were friendly. The place was nice with a lot of daylight and windows. The dining options were the most attractive I've seen. Their activities were nice. They had gone on a tour of a museum in the city that day. They had church services on Sunday mornings in their common area. It felt like a very safe and open concept feeling for my parents to go to and still know that my mom would get the care that she needed.

My father is in John Ganton's Countryside, and it's been a positive experience. Someone goes in every day to make sure he's taken care of. He gets good care. The place is clean and well kept. For a while they had the dining room closed, but once the dining room was open again it's good, because then all the patrons can go down there to eat and socialize a little bit. Weekly they'll have bingo and offer prizes, and then they have a room where they can watch TV together. They also have an outside courtyard where they sometimes will have holiday activities, like Christmas or Easter or something. The staff is very attentive, always friendly, and helpful. Like all the places, they've had some trouble keeping enough help for staffing. That's the one drawback. Especially at nighttime, there isn't always a lot of staff. I've eaten there and it's very good food. They try to offer a lot of activities to get everyone involved. It's a bit expensive though.

I have a friend who lives there and pays $9,000 a month for very poor care after being there he ended up catching covid and they wouldn't even treat him for it or let him see a doctor he went an entire day with no food because he was isolated to his room and couldn't go to the cafeteria. He gets very poor care there and I think they have a lot of nerve charging him $9,000 for such poor care. Keep in mind, the cantons have no education or licensing to qualify them to run a place like this, the only thing they have is their name and money, and that's all they're interested in. My friend is not happy there, at all, especially given that he's paying $9,000 a month!!!!

My sister-in-law is at Countryside Retirement Community. It's very clean and out of all we visited, that's the one she wanted to go to. The staff is very friendly. They have bible study, music, and church. Her one-bedroom apartment is very nice. We saw several and that's what she wanted, so that's the one she got. They have wi-fi, they take her medicine to her, libraries, and common areas. They're very well kept. Value for money is pretty good.

We chose Countryside Retirement Community for my aunt because we like the facility. It was very clean, very modern, and very well-kept. The person that was showing me through was very informative and friendly. The facility was all very clean and well taken care of. It's located so you can easily access most of anything.

My mom is at Countryside Retirement Community. They send a newsletter every week for new updates, but other than that, it's really been kind of tough as far as having visitors because we can't go there. My suggestion would be that with COVID, more communication would be better. The staff has been good and they've been helpful. The building looks modern. There's actually a bunch of them, it's not just one, it's like a whole city block of buildings. They have an activity room.

My father is at Countryside Retirement Community. It's been an excellent experience. The person that I spoke with initially to learn more about the whole community was the coordinator and liaison, and she put her best foot forward. She was more than helpful, very caring, went above and beyond to do things when we were in a crisis trying to get the right kind of care for him. They made themselves available to us. I can communicate by phone or by email. He loves the food there. His room was perfect, clean, painted, had lovely carpeting, and a spacious handicap bathroom. It had everything that we wanted, and the price was right.

I visited Countryside Care Center. They have different ranges there, but I was just in the medical unit to visit someone. They're very well managed. I know families who have family members there, and I hear good things from them. They have a good reputation in the area as well. The staff members I met were very helpful. My experience with them has been good. They were very attentive to what was going on in the wing that I was in. The area is very accessible. There's not a great deal of heavy traffic, and the buildings are set up where they have a lot of green space between them and walkways. The parking is adequate. It's a big campus.

Countryside Manor is nice. The staff is friendly, and it's been a good experience so far. The food is nice, too. My mother has a nice studio apartment. They let the residents make it their own, so they can add curtains or paint on the wall as long as they don't wreck anything. She did an exercise class, and she's looking forward to a celebration on Tuesday. She said she wanted to participate in crafts making. The price is worth it for my mother's safety, but it's not affordable for a lot of people.

Countryside Manor is a very nice, bright and cheerful place. The staff overall is very accommodating and efficient. We have excellent food and dining is very flexible. It's open from 7:00 to 7:00 and you can always order off of a menu that is open all the time with different choices. We've been very comfortable here. The rooms are nice and we brought our own furniture, so that makes it homey, and my husband has continued to improve. They have a number of activities. I enjoy the dining experience with other people and they have a café. They have exercise, bingo, different games, and people come for music or singing presentation. We're able to take advantage of anything that is at the Countryside Grand across the street or at the care center connected to this community.

John Ganton's Countryside is great. It's a happy place and they have great workers there. I would definitely recommend it. There are a lot of activities for my mother-in-law to do to keep her busy, like adult coloring books. They have at least one or two things going every day. She's there for independent living for now. The dining room is excellent. I haven't met anybody there that hasn't been smiling. They're very pleasant to her. There are four separate villas at this place, but she can go to each and every one of them through a bus that they have on campus if she wants to do a different activity. The community is a little bit more down to earth.

John Ganton’s Countryside Care Center had a little bit of everything to offer to everyone, whether they'd be living in a single home unit or in the several different buildings on-site, like music and transportation to shopping and entertainment in the evening. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. They provided an area for people to plant flowers or vegetables.

I thought the facilities were nice and communal. There was a lot of interaction between the residents. This was nice to see considering the social nature of my grand mother. When we would go to visit she always seemed dignified and in good spirits. It was almost like she felt at home there. You could always tell that she did not quite feel comfortable because the nurse would come over with medication and would simply enter and take care of business as opposed to knocking and treating her with any kind of privacy. As social as grandmother was, she also valued her privacy. This lack of privacy caused her to remain on edge and nervous until she finally ended up at the hospital where she passed away. When she was interacting with the other people, it was not over silly games or puzzles which were in great abundance. It was just around a dinner table or just in a circle where the old ladies would talk and talk. My grandmother retained her mind for the most part during this time and she really appreciated the processional nature of the staff working here. There was never a time when she complained about any of them.

While attending game day I was able to observe a very friendly staff. They were friendly to me and their tenants. The facility was fairly new but well kept. There were plenty of seating for guests and the tenants. I viewed a couple of the rooms and they seemed well kept. They both had nice looking beds and it appeared that each room has a TV and their own bathroom. I was impressed with the amount of flowers and the selection of the decor. There were special days planned for the tenant such as game day and family day. I was able to have lunch there as well. The food was pretty good and there was a nice selection for the tenants. I have only attended one of the game days, but I am planning to attend more. Overall I was impressed with the retirement home and would feel comfortable with having family staying there.
