Excellent facility and staff. My grandfather can be hard to please at 90 years old, but he loved the staff at regency at Grand Blanc. Everyone from admissions to the custodians were nothing short of amazing. My grandfather was transferred from Regency to an assisted living facility, which is also nice, but nothing compares to the caring staff he had at Regency. Thank you so much to Teesha, Linda, Lori, Nicole, Keisha, Lisa, the dietician (sorry I can’t remember her name), Vicky…. My grandfather LOVED Vicky. It’s only been one day since he left Rgency but we all miss the staff already!

Dad liked his room, light and airy feeling. The following staff went above and beyond their duties helping my family and dad. Sateesha (sales), Nicole (Social Services), and Linda & Keesha (both aids in my dad’s hall). These 4 women, were amazing from the transfer to Grand Blanc from Tawas, getting through the whole process of moving dad to a Assisted Living facility and ensuring that dad was getting the care and therapy he needed while at Regency Grand Blanc. I don’t believe my family or I would have made it through this whole process without them. Bless each one of them.

The room was nice...and the food could use a better option to keep it warm. However, I was asked if they should do his laundry and I responded affirmatively but turns out they did not do his laundry. I had a hard time being able to contact my father because his phone was never within his reach. I understand there are many patients that require attention but it seem to always take a long time for them to get to the room to help my Daddy go to the bathroom or to help him back into bed. I appreciated the fact that it was close to his house and they would give me calls for follow ups, but small considerations need to be put into effect to raise the rate.

My 105 year old grandmother was placed at Regency at Grand Blanc after a hospital stay for her rehabilitation therapy. She has received wonderful care and therapy by all her nurses and aides. They took the time to individually asses her and her needs upon admission even her food likes and dislikes. They even have craft classes and bingo to encourage her to leave her room ! The building is very clean and the staff is so caring and very thorough for all her needs. This is truly a wonderful facility all around and I would highly recommend it!

I regret the day that I put my mother in this place to recover from her health issue. The therapy employee's are great but little to be desired from the nurses. While my mother as in this facility for rehab, they gave her too much of one of her medications that led to her her kidney function getting worse, then hen they started with another medication(steroid) the medication she was taking for another health issue is supposed to stop and I told them that, well needless to say they failed. Then they had a outbreak of Covid-19 and didn't tell anyone so not only did I get it so did my mother, hers turned to pneumonia, none of the nurses called me to relay this fact so when I was finally able to go see her, I sent her to the hospital, it was already too late by the time she got to the hospital and she never came home. I wouldn't put my worse enemy in this place.

My husband came to the facility for rehab after back surgery and a nearly healed bedsore. He was not placed in an air bed as requested several time and 5 days after I complained and said I would contact administration he was finally put in one. His bedsore was not treated properly and turned severe, his surgical incision started oozing, his blood pressure dropped and the reasoning when I questioned was because he had been given a pain pill and he has a large blood clot in his lung. He also would not wake up. He was transported to Henry Ford for a follow up appt. and his blood pressure was only 68/34 and he was rushed to ER and is currently in ICU. While in the ER he tested positive for covid which he did not have upon being admitted to the rehab facility. I have reported it to the facility but it seems that staff are completely unaware of it and the facility has not been closed for cleaning and testing. I observed some staff not wearing their masks correctly, one letting it hang from her ear and another maintenance worker not wearing one at all when entering my husbands room to make the bed change. We chose this facility because we were told it was good. I disagree.

My dad is in rehab at Regency At Grand Blanc. I like their rehabilitation. It has been really good. The problem is that my dad has been scared to walk. He's afraid that he's going to tip over. But they continue to work with him and try to tell him they're not going to let him get hurt. The nurses and aides are great. The only thing I haven't liked was he just got recorded with bedsores and stuff. They should have known that already because they've been taking care of him. He's not getting a lot of walks, so that can cause it too. But so far, it's been better than the other one we had. The food is all homemade. They make everything fresh every day, and they have a variation. They let them choose what they want. It doesn't have to be a set menu. The facility is clean and modern-looking. They have plenty of places to travel around and walk with your parents.

I visited this facility

I am very happy with my room.I have a beautiful rooms with tons of birds right outside of my window. When the staff could see my sleeping habits, it was decided that I needed a larger bed which was provided instantly. The food is very good, special meals are no problem to arrange. The activities are at a slowdown because of the COVID requirements. But normally there are plenty of activities. My daughter had to choose my place of living without the option of seeing it. I would like to say that she did a great job!

This facility is amazing! The care and compassion that the entire staff has is unbelievable. My mom came to this facility after a major stroke, in hopes of getting better. Due to the covid-19, visitation was not allowed. They made sure my mother had a window so we could walk up to the window and wave to her. During her stay she was only able to look to the right, so the nurses when we visited, had to literally turn her bed a hundred and eighty degrees so that we could visit with my mom. They did this out of compassion we never asked them to do this. The care and the love that the staff gave my mother and her last few days is undescribable. If you or your loved one needs to choose a facility, I highly recommend this one.

Families are now more dependent on staff for care because of the Covid restrictions. Staff failed my mother in about every way possible during her 5 day stay. She went directly from Regency to ICU at the hospital because of neglect. Messages were left for staff and it took up to 25 hours for them to return calls. Her belongings were difficult to retrieve as her electronics were "lost". I would not refer anyone to put a family member in this facility.

I could not be happier with my mother's care. All staff are caring, patient, and truly love their work. Nursing staff goes above and beyond. CNAs are always friendly and kind, very attentive to patient's needs. They take the time to get to actually know their patients needs and wants. I would definitely recommend Regency !

My husband is at Regency At Grand Blanc for therapy. The food is delicious, like eating at a restaurant. I would rate the staff as a 1 because it takes them an hour to get to my husband's room. The community is beautiful and has a lot of activities. They have a therapy crew, people who come in and sing, and ping-pong. The insurance pays for it.

What I especially liked about Regency is that there was a way to reward the best caregivers: CNAs, LPNs, therapists, et al. I was able to fill out "compliment" sheets for those I chose to paradise and I could even give out "Regency $" slips that an employee could redeem at one of the offices. The result of this was a generally high level of good attention being paid to my spouse. The food was excellent and including 3 different dining rooms. The surroundings were pleasant.
